“Where do we begin? Rowena was BEYOND AMAZING when she babysat our Pomeranian for almost a week. She went ABOVE & BEYOND anything we could have expected, and treated our dog like he was her own. The pictures and videos she sent us throughout the week showed him being spoiled and adored by her, and totally eased our anxiety about boarding him (for the first time ever) while we were on vacation. We can’t say enough good things about Rowena. She is absolutely the best sitter we could have ever hoped for. She was kind & loving to our dog (child) & she even catered to some of his high maintenance needs (like helping him eat more slowly & taking him out in the yard to run around, to let him get his “zoomies” out, etc). Her house was immaculate & clean, which was even more comforting to us, because we were anxious our pup might eat something off the floor, if able (he wasn’t able to because her house was spotless). We really can’t say enough good things about our experience with Rowena and how well she cared for our dog while we were out of town. We have dogs ranging from Maltese to Rot/boxer mix. I work from home and outside my front door is a small park but have surrounding parks around the neighborhood close by. With my dog, I took work breaks as walks. It’s Texas so my assumptions the pets are inside, I have a small fence yard but access to a park in front of my house.

However, I have plenty of time after work on weekdays (4:00pm) and ALL day during the weekends and the summer months (June - July). If needed, I have crates that can be borrowed. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13! I’ve loved dogs ever since I can remember , and believe they deserve respect and care as man’s best friend. I’ve baby sat dogs for friend and neighbors throughout my life , and have learned how to give them relaxing baths , how to cut their nails , and brush their teeth. I’m used to working with leash pullers , and hav taught them how not to pull and walk by my side . I’m great at potty training younger ( and older !) pups that struggle to use the restroom outside . I have taken care of senior dogs before, and I make sure that they are mentally stimulated by playing with them on their beds if they are unable to love . About: As a pet owner and world traveler, I know the hardest part about traveling is having to leave them at home. As a pet sitter, I'll give you peace of mind to go on your adventures while knowing your furriest family member is safe and cared for. With over 10 years of experience in pet-sitting and house-sitting, there is little I haven't seen: -Elderly pet? I have a 21-year-old cat named Rubie and a 13-year-old dog named Chloe who get all the gentle cuddles and added care they could ask for. -Puppy love? I fostered puppies with Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, training them and getting them used to social situations. -Medical needs? I've administered medication orally, topically, and via injection for both dogs and cats. -Special diet? Let's just say I'm very familiar with the smell of prescription wet food 😅 -Ball of energy? I love walks and am a semi-professional fetch thrower (although my frisbee skills could use a little practice) 😉 Since I was a teenager, I've watched pets for friends and family and grew a small business watching pets and homes through personal testimonials and referrals. I've even gotten to travel while house-sitting in Texas, California, New York, and Spain! Animals are one of the best things in life, and I would love to care for your pets as if they were my own. My schedule is ~flexible~ and that's the way I like it 😊 I work remotely, so as long as I have internet, I'm good to go! I typically work from home or from coffee shops (if you have any local recommendations, let me know) and my routine can adjust to your pet's needs. I also work part-time at a local winery, typically Thursday-Saturday. These shifts are around 6 hours, so if your pet can stay alone during this time, wonderful! If not, let me know and I can make arrangements to accommodate. I aim to maintain the routine that loving owners have determined is best for their pets, whether that's crating when away, going on a walk before dinner, or co-sleeping in the bed. I believe pets are wonderful judges of character; often approaching them with openness and a caring heart is enough to get on their good side. Feel free to specify any special requests or daily routines and I'll do my best to fulfill them just as you would (and as I do with my own pets).

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was about 10 years old. Growing up, we frequently had both cats and dogs in the house. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for about 2 years before working there for 1 year. I have pet sat for a family every summer for the last 8 years or so and I also worked at a pet boarding place 1 summer. I'm currently working part-time so I will absolutely have time to take care of your pet! I can stay overnight and take care of a pet, and only work an average of six hours a day so I still have plenty of time to spend with a pet! I spend a lot of time hanging out with and getting to know each pet in order to meet their needs. I can play, walk, and feed pets as well as just be a calming presence if that is helpful for them.
