“What impresses me most is that I have two very different types of dogs, and Stephanie has the skills and flexibility to handle them both. Clarity is an elderly, fragile little lap dog who needs a lot of sensitive care and attention. Stephanie listened carefully to her needs and provided her exceptional care. The other dog, Bubba, is tough, strong, highly independent, energetic, and intense, with a prey drive; he loves to play with toys and run fast. Stephanie regularly sent me photos and updates of the fun times he was having in the yard—for example, or of Clarity getting comfy in various spots in her home. Also, I appreciated that on short notice, Stephanie came right over and picked up my dogs. She also dropped them off for me, too, as I requested, so they’d be here to greet me when I arrived home. I have volunteered at the animal shelter for about 3 years, taking care of both cats and dogs in all sizes. About: I decided to join rover because of how much I love dogs. I have a big yard and 2 dogs of my own for your baby/babies to play with! I keep my dogs mainly inside during the day with the occasional trip to the back yard. I am home all day so that allows for lots of potty breaks and playtime (weather permitting). About: I’ve been taking care of backyard stray cats to having one on my own. I learned to love and take care of cats by spending most of my time with them I’m a grad student so I am busy in the morning but flexible during my breaks. If I’m taking care of cats in my home, I’m usually with them most of the time. I have an extra bedroom & bathroom if cat is a nervous belly for him/her to get use to environment. “Melissa is truly fantastic! My dog, Collins, has stayed with her multiple times over the past several months and adores her. Whenever we drop her off she's wagging her and tail and excited to see Melissa again! Melissa and her boyfriend are very active, they are always taking Collins on long walks or hikes. They send lots of pictures and keep me in the loop about how Collins is doing. They have also been really flexible with pick up and drop off and even dropped Collins off at our house one time when we couldn't be there to pick her up.
