About: Growing up, my family has always had multiple dogs at a time. The house is too quiet without the patter of their paws. About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for a house full of pets—including a cat, parakeets, fish, and even a couple of snapping turtles—and have loved both cats and dogs throughout my life. As an adult, I was lucky enough to spend 11 years with our beloved German Shepherd mix, Evie. We completed obedience training together, and I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding, routines, training reinforcement, playtime, and all the everyday care that comes with sharing your life with a dog. As Evie got older, I also gained experience caring for a senior dog through arthritis and, eventually, a period of significant illness. Her needs changed considerably during her final months, so I’m comfortable administering oral medications, keeping an eye on changes in appetite or behavior, adapting routines for an older or less-active dog, and understanding when something just doesn’t seem quite right. I’ve also cared for pets for neighbors and understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet while you’re away. Since losing Evie in 2022, we haven’t been ready to bring another pet into our family, so I’d genuinely love the opportunity to spend some time caring for yours. I’m dependable, attentive, patient, and—most importantly—I truly enjoy being around animals. I’m self-employed and set my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to work pet care into my day. I’m generally available for morning visits beginning around 8:30 AM, as well as midday and afternoon care. I can build walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and plenty of attention into each pet’s normal routine, and I’m happy to follow the schedule they’re accustomed to at home. “We had Megan come in the morning for a walk and in the evening for a check-in. This is the fourth time we have used Megan. We have always been happy with how she handles Finley Magee. We highly recommend Megan, and we will continue to have Megan watch Finley. This was the longest we spent time away from Finley Magee. It was hard for us to leave your 4-legged baby and I know it would be hard for our pup too. Megan put us at ease with her detailed progress reports during each visit. I work from home a couple of days a week and I’m 5 minutes from my office so I can run home for potty breaks. I love dog walks, throwing the ball or cuddling on the couch. I have a completely fenced yard with a security camera. I will keep the dogs inside unless it’s potty or playtime. I have a Bernadoodle and he sleeps in the bed with me.

About: Our pet family started almost by accident. Dark night, middle of busy intersection, an elderly dog was trying to navigate traffic. No tags, hungry and mostly blind. My husband and I were able to get him into car. We took him home, fed the little guy, cleaned him up, named him Charlie. He changed our lives. Since then, we’ve been blessed us with a number of dogs and cats throughout the years. Some have not been healthy and needed care and some are just seniors! Each one has brought us joy. After many years as interior designer, retired to part time this past September 2024. Now, to pursue hobbies and life’s next adventure! My schedule is built on the value I can bring to folks that need pet care, just like Gary and I have needed for our pets over the years. You should be able to have the personal freedom you need and not worry about your precious fur babies. They will be secure in my care. Expect pics to put your mind at ease! First and foremost fur babies are family. Boundaries are set. If staying in our home, we have a safe quiet (pet) bedroom /play area. We can play soothing, calming, music. Toys ready to throw, pillows, snuggle blankets ready for tucking and snuggling. Hugs and kiss are free and abundant! Let the fun and love begin! They quickly let us know what’s next! Play? Walk? Snuggle? Note: sleeping with your baby is possible, can be discussed. Their safety is the consideration.

About: I've taken care of dogs for most of my life since I was a teen. I myself was the proud owner of a miniature schnauzer for over 16 years, so I understand the desire to take excellent care of your pet, ensuring they are fed, walked, and most of all, loved! I would take care of your pet like they were my own. About: I decided to join rover because of how much I love dogs. I have a big yard and 2 dogs of my own for your baby/babies to play with! I keep my dogs mainly inside during the day with the occasional trip to the back yard. I am home all day so that allows for lots of potty breaks and playtime (weather permitting).
