I was the proud dog mom of a sweet soul called Mable until March of 26; losing her was pretty ruff. I am not ready to adopt again (yet), but I miss the energy of a dog in my life. I work from home, so dog sitting seems like a win win. If you'd like your fuzz baby to be welcomed into a calm, loving home where they'll be treated like family, look no further! Whether your dog is energetic and playful, prefers leisurely sniffing adventures, or simply wants a cozy spot to nap after a few belly rubs, I'll tailor their day to what makes them happiest. I have plenty of time to chill with your pup; your fuzz baby will have companionship, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and affection throughout the day. A comfy air conditioned home and a beautiful fenced yard await! There's a sprinkler or pool for doggos allowed to enjoy a dip, and a trailhead to Walnut Creek close by, so walks in the forest are possible. Neighborhood walks are of course available as well. With permission and familiarity, daytrips are also an option. I've always been a "bring the dog" gal, and that may or may not apply to your dog, as mutually agreed upon. Safety is my highest priority, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your best bud is having a wonderful time. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else because they are your family. My goal is simple: for your dog to be excited to come back every time—and for you to have complete peace of mind. I feel that dogs know where they are comfortable; they seem to be comfortable with me, and my boyfriend is pretty much a dog whisperer. Friends often joke that dogs seem to find me before I find them, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Volunteer coordinators have told me I have "a quiet connection" with dogs, and I think that's true. If your dog is feeling it, they can enjoy a safe, comfortable environment where they will be well cared for. I had a very active dog in this home and yard and she was well contained, in spite of her intense desire to get herself a squirrel. The yard opens atop a cliff overlooking a creek and is fenced and dog safe, but the pool does serve as part of the fence line. I think a dog would struggle to exit the yard, but you know your dog and would need to make the final call.

About: I’ve had pets all my life! I had a chihuahua growing up and I also took care of a rescue lab mix for a few years. Currently I have two cats that I love and care for, as well as a third cat that is my roommates. I’m well versed with taking care of all pets. I currently work full time but I work on a hybrid schedule. I will be available for long weekends of Friday-Monday to check in on your pets or to stay with them for your short vacation. I’ll make sure to keep your pets company and to send pictures periodically, or whenever you just miss them. I love spending time with pets so I don’t want you worrying they’ll be alone for long. I normally will either go out or bring food for lunch at your home. I also will take an extended break during dinner time between 3-4 hours, before spending the rest of the night with your pet. “Yujie was very professional and easy to communicate with. Even helped coordinate some slightly complex dropoff and pickup. I felt like my senior dog was in good hands with special attention to his needs for walking/stairs issues. I'll plan on using Yujie in the future again!”

“Valerie kept our cute Murphy for 7 days. He is notoriously shy and takes a long while to warm up to people. Just after a few days he felt at home. He actually enjoyed her backyard and even walked around her house. She was patient and so loving towards him. We highly recommend Valerie and will use her again if we are lucky enough to go on another family vacation.”

“Our boy, Mulligan, had an AMAZING time with Mariah and her family! Mariah was super great about sending us photos and updates of Mully playing and having fun outside enjoying the large backyard and the company of her two sweet pups. She and her family took wonderful care of Mulligan and gave us the confidence to enjoy our family trip knowing that Mully was in good hands and having a blast. Mariah even staged adorable Christmas photos of Mully for us! (Also -- I think she and her family bathed Mulligan too which is absolutely amazing and so above and beyond what was necessary but extremely appreciated as we had a plumbing issue in our home in the days leading up to our trip and weren't able to give him a bath before we left). 10/10 amazing, super wonderful, kind, loving, safe, and happy care for our pup. We would 100% want Mariah and her family to watch Mulligan for us again. We couldn't ask for a better experience.”
