We had gone on a meet and greet 2 days before and Duke got along well with Melinda and her 2 dogs but I was still apprehensive. When it came time to drop him off he jumped right out of the car and ran up to Melinda and her husband without hesitation and went right in the house ! About: I grew up with plenty of animals and got accustomed to meeting new fur babies in my school’s Vet Assisting program. I started to pet sit for families near me and friends over time. About: I’m great on short notice and I’m great at communicating with pet parents regarding any special instructions your pet may need while you’re away to ensure your best peace of mind and the happiness of your pet. I work during the week and my hours are very flexible o get off at 2 on Fridays and my weekends are more than always free so my sitting days would be Friday, Saturday , & Sunday I make sure your pet is fed/water bowl full with any special diet they may have, given medications and supplements if required, played with and given attention, and ensure they are safe and taken care of the way they would be if you were there. About: I have over 8 years of training and care giving experience in over 20 different species of animals ranging from livestock to dolphins. My life has always involved animals. Growing up we had at one point 20 pets (chickens to an iguana). I continued and expanded my animal experience when I decided to pursue a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M-Kingsville. Equipped with my formal education, I started a career at the Texas State Aquarium where I learned how to train an array of species using operant conditioning focusing on obtaining desired behaviors through positive reinforcement. When I left the aquarium I branched out to the veterinarian side of the industry. Finally, I made it back to training and decided to focus on dogs because they are such an integrated aspect of our day to day lives. Now, after a years of calling South Texas home, I was delivered to the island of Oahu. I currently work as a marine observer, taking my love for animals to the ocean. I collect data for conservation and mitigation. When I’m not out at sea, I want bring love and fun into your pets life. Being around God’s gentle creatures is truly where my heart sings!!! I understand that our pets are not just an animal that lives with us but they are family! Their well-being is a priority. Consistent exercise and compassionate caregiving will create a happy, healthy pet! LET ME ADD TO YOUR HOME-LIFE OF HAPPINESS! ❤️ I will assist you in caring for your pets from exercise to training (using positive reinforcement), grooming, and/or pet sitting! I have a very unique and adventurous job that takes me off land for 14-28 days at a time. I’m a marine observer. But when I am in between voyages, I am completely free to live life anyway. I am able to accommodate nearly any schedule. My services are ideal for pet owners that need someone for a day or a few weeks at a time. I consider caring for your pet a premium service and you both deserve premium actions. With this in mind, you and your pets comfort are number one priority. If you decide that a hike is something that is good, hiking we will go. But if your pet requires different, lower activity needs, a relaxing walk in the neighborhood is in call. I can also offer obedience training for you pet.

“This was my first time leaving Duke with someone and I was really worried he would not do well. We had gone on a meet and greet 2 days before and Duke got along well with Melinda and her 2 dogs but I was still apprehensive. When it came time to drop him off he jumped right out of the car and ran up to Melinda and her husband without hesitation and went right in the house ! Melinda kept me informed with pictures of Duke having a great time and I have to say Duke misses his new friends. “Ashley was great, including accommodating our desire for a meet and greet even though I had already booked a stay with her! Her experience in animal care aa a vet tech was very reassuring, especially that she was familiar with several of the meds our dog Niiki was on. And when I told her it was Stella's birthday during the middle of our trip, she gave Stella a birthday party complete with birthday cookie! Ashley accommodated our pickup time, even in the middle of her own family emergency. Ashley goes above and beyond. I have no reservations in recommending her.”
