About: I have been helping take care of dogs since I was 9, growing up my neighbors and relatives would rely on me for pet support. I have experience with bigger dogs and smaller dogs. About: I have always had cats in my life since I can remember. Now I have 3 of my own. 2 inside and one outside. I know how to feed, clean and care for all pets needs. We also now have a dog in our family and he is spoiled rotten. He likes to go on walks, play fetch All of our animals are cared for in the mornings when we wake up. Everyone gets fresh water and food. My long haired cat gets combed daily, medicine in his eyes and eyes cleaned out. By that time it is time to feed everyone I have a fenced yard for my dog and my two cats stay in the house. My outside cat comes in and out all day, eating and playing with the other kitties.

I've pet sat for friends and family so I know how important it is your dogs don't feel alone. Nowadays, even with the heat I'm a big fan of taking walks with my dogs. We're both fans of the exercise and I have a small wading pool as a treat after the walk. I normally take them early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun is not at its hottest to protect their feet. I only work part time early mornings so I have a wide open afternoon schedule that is available. I'm willing to be flexible with your schedule. My normal weekly schedule has me available Mondays and Tuesdays after 1pm and Wednesday through Friday I am available after 11am. I'm all about positive reinforcement and love to play with dogs. I understand dogs can get rough and I'm not afraid of their nibbles but I do know how to distract and redirect their attention in the case of extreme rough play. I'm a big fan of treats so I do include treats during my time with dogs. As long as there is a fenced in back yard, I don't like to rely too heavily on a leash but like for the dog to feel free to roam.

“Dorothy was amazing! I loved how informative and flexible she was with me as well as how kind she was with Mabel (my dog). She sent me so many adorable pictures throughout the stay and frequent updates about how things were going. She watched Mabel for five nights and I received something every day, which I extremely appreciated.
