About: What sets me apart? You'll have to tell me that since I'm just beginning my pet sitting journey. I suppose I would say, I am calm, mellow, laid back, and that sets pets at ease. I have administered medication, I'm very efficient and clean about litter clean up and will follow dietary guidelines directed by you. We can play with toys or I can give a nice brushing or I can just sit with them and take a nap. Speaking of naps.. I work a split shift on Signal but live in Pikeville. It makes no sense for me to drive home in between shifts. (I know it's crazy, but it works for my family.) That means I am trying to find something to do with myself, or more importantly a warm enough or cool enough location to spend my 4.5 hour break each day. If my limited availability, (weekdays between 9:30am and 1:30pm,) will work for you, and I am welcome to make myself comfortable in your home, (use a bathroom, sit on a comfortable chair and put my feet up, or betteryet, lie down and take a nap,) I won't charge you for care at all. We'll be exchanging my need for a place to rest with your need for someone to check on your pet. It makes sense in my head. I respect if you think it's crazy. But hopefully you'll remember me if you can't find anyone who's available for that random day when you need someone to drop in.

She kindly welcomed us to an impromptu meet and greet which was very helpful for our two shih tzus, 0ne is over 15 yo, nearly deaf with vision loss, and his buddy was recently rescued from a breeding mill so he's learning about love, leash, harness, steps, toys, beds, security: everything in dog life. Josie and her service dog Saint share a wonderful energy which we appreciate. Our two pups do best in calm and they responded well to them. During their stay Josie provided exceptional communication with photos and updates which we appreciated even when we were unable to respond. Her love, patience and dedication to dogs are evident. I definitely recommend Josie and Saint and will request them again. Next time I think our little dogs would be more comfortable without a second large dog staying too. I have confidence in Josie managing several at a time, however ours can become unsettled by larger groups of dogs or people. Over time they may be able to feel more secure in them. Now, they are less sure. Josie handled any of their insecurities or fears well. She is very accommodating for their needs all around, including special allergy diets too. We are pleased to have met Josie and look forward to seeing Saint and her again. They are a pleasure.”

If your pet stays in your home, I can offer up to 3 visits per day on weekdays, up to 4 on weekends depending on how far you are from my house. I can’t offer care from my home, I live with too many people and would hate to stress out your pet, but I can come and stay in your home, whether it be overnight or drop-ins. I’m very good about feeding on time, watching the water bowl, giving frequent potty breaks, and taking a few walks throughout the day. I will also adhere to any special requests you may have for your pup!
About: I am a formerly certified Animal Cruelty Investigator and Emergency Animal Medical Technician with the Arizona Humane Society. I also previously worked as a veterinary technician in a clinic setting for 3 years before e becoming a stay at home mom. This gives me the experience needed to closely watch and care for your pet(s) to ensure their health and safety at all times. I have worked with all pets of all breeds and sizes, so I have no restrictions on who I can work with! This includes exotic pets, as well. Growing up in a farm, I am also more than happy to care for any live stock and farm animals you may have. About: I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds for over a decade. I have cared for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, parrots, bunnies, and fish. I love animals and have a very open schedule, so I am looking to spend my time doing something i love- caring for animals! About: I have taken care of friends and family’s pets since I was about 15 years old! I’m the first person that family and friends reach out to when they plan a trip and need help with pets.
