The sitter sent pics from time to time. I wished to get more pics as we missed our dogs a lot during the travel. About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and small pets, and I'm comfortable with both large and small breeds. My own senior dog receives daily oral medication, so I'm confident administering oral medications when needed. I treat every pet like they're part of my family and focus on providing a safe, loving, and stress-free environment with plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and cuddles. While I have not had experience on a formal app like this, I have been caring for family/ friends pets for years. Pet care is already a part of our everyday routine. I work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and my job is only five minutes from home, so I’m able to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and quality time. My husband also helps care for the pets from time to time, giving them additional care throughout the day. Before and after work, we make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, and love. Our evenings and weekends are much more flexible, allowing us to spend even more time caring for your pet. We understand how important routines are, and we’ll do our best to keep your pet’s schedule as close to normal as possible while you’re away. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I share my home with my friendly senior dog, Major. He is well-socialized, gentle, and have done well with other animals I've cared for in the past. My husband also helps care for pets from time to time, so your pet will have another trusted, caring person around to give them attention and companionship. I live in an apartment with plenty of walking areas nearby, including dog parks where I regularly take my own dog. My home has hard flooring, so accidents are easy to clean up, and I have plenty of toys to keep pets entertained. I also have a home camera so I can monitor pets whenever I'm away. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and administering oral medications. If needed, I'm also able to transport pets safely to appointments or in case of an emergency. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, my husband and I will follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home.

About: What sets me apart is my love for animals. i have had and took care of many myself. Also, my attentiveness towards your furry baby will make them feel loved and cared for. I’m currently at home a lot, so this job will be perfect. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. Ghost, our senior pitty, has given me plenty of experience with big personalities, sassy attitudes, and high energy dogs. He recently was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removal followed by particularly complicated wound healing, so prolonged recovery, wound care, medications, and activity restrictions (even when they don’t want it) have become familiar territory too. Between the three, I’ve worked with very different dogs with very different starting points, training and routines. I’m happy to maintain established commands, boundaries, and training for consistency, or follow a more relaxed routine if you prefer simply keeping your pet safe, happy, and loved. About: I grew up with dogs and cats and haven’t looked back! We currently have two dogs, 7 & 1, Shiloh and Shepherd. I raised a puppy with my sister and most recently Shepherd who is a retriever/poodle mix. I am currently building a small business but it is very flexible. I can be available every day at any hour and would love overnights, weekends and longer term stays! I will treat them as my own. We will spend a lot of time together. I love taking walks and having a furry friend with me. I want them to feel as safe and secure with you gone as possible. About: Honestly, I don't think I've gone more than a few months of my life without a pet around. I grew up with dogs and have since lived with and looked after dobermans, beagles, doodles, pointers, and pitbulls, amongst others, so a big, strong, or stubborn dog doesn't throw me off, and neither does a nervous first-timer. I've also lived with cats for years, so I speak fluent "aloof but secretly obsessed with you." Along the way I've picked up a lot of the extra care stuff almost by accident: giving meds on a schedule, handling a dog with leash reactivity, sticking to a strict routine for an anxious pet, being patient with a senior pet who needs a little more help getting around. I'm not saying I've seen it all, but I've seen a lot, and I actually enjoy the pets who need a bit more thought and attention. They're usually the most rewarding ones to work with. I'm currently a full-time master's student, and don't currently have other part-time work, but I will communicate if that changes in the future. I do have evening classes that are online except for one. Otherwise, I'm available to spend time with your fur babies. I like sitting in your pet's own home when that's an option. It just tends to be less stressful for them than a strange new place. Every pet's a little different, so I'm not going in with a fixed routine; I'd rather figure out what actually works for your dog or cat and stick to that. If your pet needs meds, has a quirk, or gets nervous easily, that's not a dealbreaker for me, if anything, tell me more, because I want to get it right.

About: Hello! My name is Jess! All of my life I have had dogs. They have always been a part of me. I started working with animals when I was very young, volunteering for fostering, working at shelters, and working for rescue groups. I grew up in the country where we used to have a ton of animals! Dogs, cats, (even chickens and gunnies). I now live in a spacious house in nashville with my hisband, daughter, 2 rescue dogs and rescue cat. The past year, I have been fostering for a local rescue. I’m so fortunate my two dogs get along well with others. My house is a dogs dream, as we have a huge fenced in back yard and I work from home! So they run until their heart is content. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and administering oral medications. If needed, I'm also able to transport pets safely to appointments or in case of an emergency. About: I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember! I grew up with Airedale Terriers and started caring for other people’s pets early - from neighborhood dog walker in middle school, to go-to pet sitter in college, and eventually an experienced Rover sitter. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, along with cats, small animals, and even a chameleon. My own three dogs have expanded that experience even further. Maia, my beagle and soul dog, has seizures, chronic elevated liver enzymes, allergies, a time-sensitive medication regimen, and a customized diet. Her care involves multiple veterinary specialists, and she’s been through emergency surgery, specialty dental care, and most recently a liver biopsy. Because of her, medications, special diets, navigating complex care plans, and noticing subtle changes are very familiar territory. Willow, my timid rescue who went from foster to family came to us fearful of nearly everything (ceilings and shadows being the scariest) and she didn’t even know what a bed was. Since then, we’ve been learning brave together, slowly discovering that new people, places, and experiences can be safe. She’s taught me so much about reading body language, encouraging without pushing, and recognizing when a nervous dog simply needs patience and space. I have a huge soft spot for shy and fearful dogs, especially the ones who make you earn their trust. Ghost, our senior pitty, has given me plenty of experience with big personalities, sassy attitudes, and high energy dogs. He recently was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removal followed by particularly complicated wound healing, so prolonged recovery, wound care, medications, and activity restrictions (even when they don’t want it) have become familiar territory too. Between the three, I’ve worked with very different dogs with very different starting points, training and routines. I’m happy to maintain established commands, boundaries, and training for consistency, or follow a more relaxed routine if you prefer simply keeping your pet safe, happy, and loved. I’m here to follow what works best for your fur baby! 🤍 Professionally, I spent seven years as a critical care nurse and I’m now an ICU nurse practitioner. Human and veterinary medicine are very different, but detailed instructions, precise schedules, noticing subtle changes, and staying calm when something unexpected happens are second nature to me. Most importantly, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of Rover. Please give me the detailed instructions, medication schedules, fears, quirks, and weird little things only you notice — I genuinely want to know. I’d love to meet your pet exactly where they are and care for them the way I’d want someone to care for mine 🐾 I recently moved to Nashville and have a little over a month before starting my new position, so my availability is currently wide open! I’m naturally a night owl, so early mornings, evenings, and unconventional hours don’t scare me 😂 My goal is to fit into your pet’s world, not expect them to fit into mine. I’d love to learn their normal routine, household rules, training, favorite things, fears, and what makes them feel safest, whether that’s cuddles and constant companionship or simply being given a little space. I’m especially aware of environmental safety, medications, dietary restrictions, doors/gates, and keeping tempting objects away from curious mouths (my beagle has taught me well 😂). For nervous pets, I’m happy to slow things down and let them decide when they’re ready to interact.
