When I have another dog at the house I pay special attention to them avoiding any encounters with the cats until the feel comfortable.

As a lifetime dog and cat owner, dog walker at a local animal shelter, and puppy foster, I am extremely passionate about animal welfare and very experienced. I have cared for senior dogs, including our family’s beloved boxer-pitt mix who passed in May of 2025, and I currently help my mom wrangle her 120 pound Great Dane named Moose. I fostered puppies of all ages and sizes (and their mamas too on rare occasions) and am very comfortable with all the ups-and-downs of puppy ownership. All that to say, there is no age, size, or energy level range that I haven’t encountered! I don’t mind if your pup needs me to take them out at 3am to potty, needs food that requires 30 minutes of preparation beforehand, or has a medication routine that requires a lot of hiding things in peanut butter. It’s all standard protocol for me! I’d love to meet your pets and give you the peace of mind that they are deeply loved and cared for when they’re with me. I work full-time M-F 7am-4pm, but am able to work from home when needed. I would try to work from home as much as possible when scheduled to petsit, and on days where that is not possible, take half days. My job is thankfully very flexible! I am someone who would rather be overly-cautious to a sometimes ridiculous degree. I will take every precaution to keep your pet and home safe and in a comfortable environment. About: I have taken care of many different types of animals since a young child, including cats, dogs, reptiles and fish. It is my responsibility as a pet owner to ensure that the pets environment is suitable, and that I educate myself to provide them the best life that I can. I have a part-time job currently working in retail. I typically work about 25 to 30 hours a week however, my shifts are pretty short usually 5 to 6 hours max so with that being said, I’d like to use as much of my free time outside of work, taking care and sitting for pet owners. I see this as a great opportunity to do something that I love while also being able to add it to my résumé, so that way one day I can apply to work at a zoo and take care of many other animals. With my three cats, two lizards and many fish, I wake up every morning to my cats at my bedroom door asking to be fed, so that’s usually how I start off with pet care for the day. Then I move onto my tanks containing my reptiles and fish. The responsibilities there include turning on their tank lights and checking if they need water and/or food. Occasionally, one of my geckos will allow me to handle her so I might take her out out of the tank for a few minutes if I have time but other than that, I just ensure to keep a close eye on them and check on their needs constantly.

We hadn't been able to get rowdy to go for a real walk and when we went to pick rowdy up,we got to see Brian and him doing a morning jog. He's truly amazing.
