She kept me updated about him multiple times a day with texts and pictures which I really appreciated. About: I am a volunteer firefighter and a full time nanny. I have watched dogs since I was 13 years old and I have had dogs all of my life. I love all kinds of animals. Right now I have 2 dogs a 45 pound husky and a 90 pound American bulldog red boon coon hound mix. I also have three rescue cats and two bunnies one of my bunnies is a rescue bunny. My schedule is very flexible so I can work around the routine you already have set up for your dog. I can also work on house braking your dogs for you. I would like to know if your dog has any behavior problem, what thier normal routine is, what activities they like, what things they are scared of, if they have any health problems, and if they are up to date on shots and flea meds. I work Monday threw Friday 8-5 I’m not normally available during those hours to let animals out. I only work those hours during that time I keep my eyes on them at all times well they are outside and when going in and out the doors. Safety is to priority

About: **Before booking.... I work full time Mon - Fri. I am not home during those times, but I am available any time after I get off of work. Saturday and Sunday I am available all day.** For some reason this site doesn't show this information. I have grown up around and have been around dogs my whole life. I have experience with all sizes of dogs and ages. Some breeds I have experience with are Pit Bulls, Boxers, Mini Pins, Chihuahua, Blue Healer, Dingo, and the list goes on! The last office job I had also included dog sitting for the owner and his wife's dogs. They kept me good company and visa versa. Some of my friends call me the dog whisperer. About: I have taken care of a variety of animals as big as horses and small as fish. I walk dogs and allow them to have play time, especially high energy dogs, they need it the most. I can cook meals for the animals if needed for a special diet. I reward with treats for good behavior. I don't mind if I need to get down and dirty. I've helped deliver a litter of kittens and nursed a kitten from a few days old. I work 8-2:30 in Persia and have to pick up by son before 3 at Preschool . I have 3 pets of my own. I let my pup out as needed, she lets me know or at minimum every 2 hours unless asleep. I also have a screened in porch for the cats or dogs that love outside time without actually having to go out, I have a fenced in back yard with a 6ft high fencing. I have a fenced in yard that is 6ft tall and I have a furr baby that would love to play and keep yours company. I also have 2 indoor cats but they would more than likely hide till adjusted to a new visitor.

I have been riding horses since I can remember. I have always been surrounded by pets of every kind. Each one was a member of our family. I recently in April 2022, rescued my German shepherd lab pup, Beau! He’s a great, big goofball and I love him dearly! I have continuously helped friends and family members and also a few neighbors here and there with helping drop in on their loved ones and taking care of them while they’re away! For dogs, I love all types! I enjoy providing a long walk for them, trips to the park if they have lots of energy you need them to burn off and even trips to the pet store for treats, or a pup cup for dessert, if allowed! I have always had a cat growing up as well! I currently have two; a beautiful orange tabby and a silver tabby! They are both amazing cats, love cuddling and I spoil them like they were dogs! I am available for drop ins, walks or coming to you for house sits if needed! my current schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30-5 ! So I am available all evenings, all day on weekends and between 4:30AM-8:00AM during the week for morning drop ins! I will easily follow your expectations while caring for your pet in your home; if in an apartment, I can take them on a long walk or a trip to the park; In the house I will always do some light cleaning and freshening of their bowls, bed and play areas and making sure they’re following expectation if not allowed on couches or if they are allowed then lots of cuddles and play time for both kitties and doggos!

I will take your dog(s) for long walks and of course playtime if they like, give them food water and treats as needed, and I’m happy to accommodate with any special requests if your fur baby has a favorite activity, treat, or any special needs.

I always adjust to your pet’s comfort level and needs, whether that means space, separation, or extra attention. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home while you’re away.
“Shawna was incredible! We left our new rescue dog, Jack, with her for a couple of days and I never felt like I had to worry at all for a single minute. She kept me updated about him multiple times a day with texts and pictures which I really appreciated. I was super worried about leaving him since we just rescued him and he has a lot of separation anxiety, but she made me feel super at ease about it. About: I’ve had several dogs throughout my lifetime and enjoy providing care for them and helping them be able to live their best life on our rural farm like setting. We have 3 dogs of our own. I am a retired registered nurse and would love to provide care to your puppy or dog in our home while you are away from your own home. My husband and I have 3 dogs of our own and they would love to show your dog our wonderful area to play. We can provide a crate for your dog if needed.

“Mellisa did a great job. She and her family love dogs. They treat visiting dogs just the same as their own and the dogs felt that immediately.. She took pictures periodically and kept the owners informed of how well their fur babies were doing. Dogs were not tramatized and she was timely as to pickup and drop off times. I would highly recommend Mellisa and would have no second thoughts about using her services many times over.”
