About: I’ve had animals all my life, and would watch my friends pets growing up too. I’ve had everything from giant breads to little dogs and love them all. We have cats and dogs of our own. So it is part of our daily routine for feedings, potty breaks, and going for walks. We treat our fur babies as part of our family and make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve! In that time I was also the vet tech, groomer, trainer, personal Vizsla chef, bone delivery girl and I became a professional tennis ball and flippy flop launcher. I have significant experience in puppy/baby dinosaur stages all the way to senior care. I have experience with rambunctious pups that may have a minor injury, allergies and medication administration. I sadly lost my girl a few years ago and have been keeping friends and family's pets since and I've loved getting some puppy snuggles! I am currently working as a nurse and I work one week on and one week off. In my weeks off, I have plenty of time to go walking at the park or hang out at home. My home is very dog friendly and allowed on all couches, chairs and beds. I have an orthopedic dog bed also available and lots of toys! My yard is partially fenced in with no gate on either end. It's so hard to trust someone with your babies. So I know boarding your dogs is not easiest thing and not knowing what is going on is the worst feeling. About: I have taken care of animals since I was young. I have always had animals of all kinds- from reptiles to furry friends. I have a dog now and she is my child. I also used to work at a dog boarding facility as well. I am doing rover until I can open my own- which is my dream! I do this full time and I have a part time job but that is only a few days a week! “We had Dana come stay at our house and babysit our cat, Bella, for 5 days while we took a work-cation. I really like Dana, and we will definitely request her again. Here are a few reason why: 1) Our AC broke a few days before we were to leave but that did not bother Dana, she took it all in stride (thankfully, we did end up getting it fixed before we left). 2) Bella is not an easy cat to feed. She's a picky eater and can be somewhat of a pain when it comes to finishing her food. Dana was willing to work with Bella's "bad eating habits," which can honestly be a pain in the butt! 3) Bella knows how to do tricks so Dana took pictures of her tricks and sent them to me. This made me feel good, and let me know Bella likes Dana (Bella is skeptical of strangers). 4) We have bird feeders, bird baths, and even a bee bath that she kept full. 5) She watered our outdoor potted flowers/plants and they looked great when we came home. 6) Dana got our mail. 7) Dana left the house neat and tidy.”

Think of boarding here as bringing your dog to Grandma's house. There will be some spoiling and if pet parents permit, homemade dog cookies! Currently I am home all the time. Your dog will be with me and my dog while here. Gumbo (30 pound neutered male) likes to play fetch or frisbee and we do this daily. I feed my dog early morning (6-7) and early evening (6-7). I give a lot of outside time when weather allows. I give my dog a lot of attention and your dog(s) will get the same. We are a pack and your dog will be part of that pack when he/she stays with us. I live on 6 acres near Dukedom, TN. My large backyard has a chain link fence. If your dog likes to play ball or frisbee this is a great yard to do it in. In addition to the backyard, I have a large field that I keep a path mowed around just for walks but to go there your dog(s) must have excellent recall or be leashed trained very well. I don't want to be pulled around or have to struggle to hold them. Dogs really like going to the field. "No" is the word I use to stop misbehavior. If there is a different word you use, let me know. It is good to know what words/phrases your dog recognizes. It'd be great if you write those down and give it to me. I have carpet throughout my living quarters so PLEASE only housebroken dogs. I give numerous long outdoor time between 5 AM to 9 PM. Potty breaks are every couple of hours. Your pet must be vaccinated! Bordatella vacs are recommended every six-to-twelve months. if your dog frequents places with other dogs, get 6 month vaccine. My dogs are vaccinated. In the warmer months, it is very important that dogs have a flea and tick preventative or have some defense against these nasty bugs because both are out here. I keep grass mowed but they still get on the dogs so make sure they have a preventative. My dogs wear clothing treated with Sawyer flea/tick spray and I have had great success with that method along with a monthly prescribed medicine. Bring your pet's food/bowls/treats along with feeding instructions. Filling out pet profile in depth on Rover helps tremendously! It has an area for vet info and anything I would need to know about your dog can be on their profile! Gumbo has dog toys that he shares but if your dog has a fave, bring it. If your dog must sleep in a bed or crate, bring it. Sometimes a sweater or anything with your scent on it comforts a dog that misses his/her owner. You're welcome to bring that. If he/she has a brush that you want me to use, bring it. I can brush dogs but have no proper facility to bathe. In the summer, I have a small dog pool to cool off in and plenty of shade in the backyard. NO cell service out here so I do not carry my phone with me. I check my messages several times thru the day but I'm not like most that have their phone on them. It does me no good. Many rural people pay for cell service despite not getting it at their homes. I have a landline that works providing my internet service works. If there is anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask. I have my profile set to only take in three dogs at a time. I have two so I think five is enough. I am very attentive so rest assured I am keeping a good eye on them.

About: I can even file your pups nails down or trim their fur if needed. I can't do any fancy dos but I can help keep them brushed and bathed and trimmed! I have dog clippers with guards, hair dryer and a table for small dogs. I can bathe and dry large dogs but not yet equipped to groom any medium or large dogs. I'm currently not working so I'm pretty flexible on hours, only thing I can't do is over night but I can come tuck them in for the night and come back immediately in the morning! I do in fact have a fenced in yard if you have a sociable baby who can deal with my 5 lb "alpha" boy but if preferred I can walk them at home or even come spend time daily with them. Whatever you need you let me know and we will work it out.

Luckily my open schedule allows me to help (any day of the week) at your house or bring your pup here to play with mine (as long as your pup enjoys other dogs)! At my home I have a set schedule for the pups. In the morning we go for a jog after breakfast, then play time outside while I clean, snacks and training time during lunch, dogs take a nap, then walk again after school pick up and evening dinner!

About: I was a dog mom for 16 years to my beautiful baby girl. We went everywhere together. Literally everywhere. In that time I was also the vet tech, groomer, trainer, personal Vizsla chef, bone delivery girl and I became a professional tennis ball and flippy flop launcher. I have significant experience in puppy/baby dinosaur stages all the way to senior care. I have experience with rambunctious pups that may have a minor injury, allergies and medication administration. I sadly lost my girl a few years ago and have been keeping friends and family's pets since and I've loved getting some puppy snuggles! I am currently working as a nurse and I work one week on and one week off. In my weeks off, I have plenty of time to go walking at the park or hang out at home. My home is very dog friendly and allowed on all couches, chairs and beds. I have an orthopedic dog bed also available and lots of toys! My yard is partially fenced in with no gate on either end. All pups will be leashed when outside the home. No exceptions.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was young. I have always had animals of all kinds- from reptiles to furry friends. I have a dog now and she is my child.
