I am self employed so I have a fairly flexible schedule so I can usually work around anything that might be needed or come up. I have a fenced in yard as well as a doggie door so dogs have constant access to the back yard. I also walk dogs 1-2 times a day.

About: I grew up on an acreage surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, chickens, bees, and just about everything in between! Caring for animals has been a normal part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

I fell in love with dogs after I met my husband and was introduced to his German Shepard baby I'm currently available for boarding for cats at any time, and dog walks on the weekends at any time. About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for over 32 years, I have worked as a kennel assistant at 17 for Lake Houston Animal Clinic and was a Kennel Manager for 4 years for Best Friends Pet Resort in Spring, Tx. This time we forgot to bring her dog food and Echo offered to give her dog food to our dog so we didn't have to drive back home to go get it. So nice!
