“Shawna, does an excellent job with my two little girls. Today is one of their birthdays. She celebrated her birthday with her rounded by her wonderful family. It meant everything to me. I’ve been in the hospital and the fact that Shawna steps up to the plate for every special need, just proves to me that they’re in the right place and I will never take them anywhere else. Thank you, Shawna, for all you do.”

“Kristy was amazing with my 2 poodles. They are 4 years old and have never stayed somewhere else or been without us overnight. Kristy sent many pictures and updated us often. I will feel comfortable now leaving them with Kristy.”

“As always, my dog, Finnian, LOVED her time at Jessica's! It makes me so happy to know she is well taken care of there & always has other dogs to play with. This visit she had Ruby, Jessica's dog, and Dennis & Jet. She has been home for 2 days now & has slept most of the 2, she played so hard. She's an only dog at home so, I'm always so glad to know she gets to play with other dogs. I highly recommend Jessica as a sitter for your pet! I love her & won't use anybody else. This visit was our 3rd or 4th. I lost count. She always texts me updates & pictures and answers any questions I might have.”

“Joan took amazing care of our dog! She sent updates and pictures regularly. Especially with the July 4th holiday (fireworks) she let us know how he was feeling, which gave us peace of mind :)”

“Andrew is wonderful to work with. He sent pictures of Rosie settling in and kept me posted on everything. I know Rosie enjoyed playing with the other dogs and getting to romp around in the fenced in back yard. I'll definately board Rosie with Andrew in the future.”

“I felt uniquely at ease leaving my pup with Jeanie, who is experienced and comfortable working with high-drive large dogs with separation anxiety and behaviorial quirks! I look forward to booking again.”

“Penny was absolutely amazing. She was constantly sending us pictures and videos of Thor. She took great care of our baby and was very aware of dietary restrictions.”

“What a wonderful experience! Prior to booking, Mary arranged a meet and greet to ensure we were a good fit on both ends. I was out of town for 5 days and knowing that Sage was being so well loved and cared for made traveling so much easier. I got multiple pictures and updates thru the day which puts a dog mom at ease. I would 100 percent book Mary ( and her family) again and would highly recommend you do as well. They ALL treated her as a part of their family, they have a large fenced in back yard which is reassuring if your dog does not prefer other animals. Thank you Mary, Bob, and Ava for loving my girl!”

“Daniella was great! We were nervous to leave our young pup for the first time, but she was so reassuring. She kept us updated with several photos and videos daily while we were away! We were so grateful for that and really appreciated her taking care of her. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet.”

“Krystal was absolutely amazing! I had a cross-country move during which everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. Krystal was compassionate and flexible, and the one thing I didn’t have to worry about was whether Max was safe and well cared for. He is a city cat, so he gained a new appreciation for chicken watching, and her kiddos kept him snuggled and loved. They are a good distance from my new home, but I will make the trip for Krystal to keep him when I go out of town. She and her family were a true blessing when I needed help caring for Max. I will always be grateful.”

“I was so happy with how well cared for my Rylee was taken care of! Jenny sent me several pics and videos of Rylee’s day which was a big help. I was able to relax and enjoy my weekend away knowing Rylee was doing so well and settled in comfortably. I definitely would recommend Jenny and plan on using her dog sitting service in the future! Thank you, Jenny (and husband)!”

“Allyson and Tyler were great hosts for Oso! Super responsive and flexible and gave us nice updates on his time with them. We love that Oso could play with other pups and enjoy a de fenced yard! We’ll definitely bring him back for a future stay!”

“Hannah is very sweet and communicative and her dogs are just as nice. I’m sure my dog and his puppy energy was a pain in the butt but if he was they didn’t let on and the photos they sent showed them getting along perfectly. I would highly recommend Hannah.”

“Actually the best dog sitter i've had. She kept me updated on my dog's and sent pictures so i could see them . Definitely Recommend her if you easily stress about your fur babies.”

“Nicole watched our dog, Willow, for a long weekend and was great! We were sent some great photos from the stay and received a daily update of how Willow was doing. Would definitely use Nicole again!”
“We went out of town for the holidays and had Leo stay with Caillynn again and he had a blast as usual! He apparently destroyed his blanket (no surprise) and she was kind enough to get him another one! He also came back tired and a little hoarse so he had a great time with her dogs. We are repeat customers and will continue to send Leo to her when we need! Highly recommended.”

“Beverly dropped in to feed our 3 Golden retrievers. She was eager to help on short notice which made our lives so much easier. She cooked some chicken for them, fed them according to their specific dietary needs and sent detailed feedback on how dinner went. I can definitely recommend Beverly for drop in visits to help give you peace of mind. Thanks Beverly for being so communicative and for sending a pic of Ben having dinner!”

“Wonderful pet (cat) sitter! Olive was very comfortable with Olivia. Maybe too comfortable bossing her around begging for treats and scratches. 😹 Great communication and pics/videos sent to us too! Will book again. 👍🏻”

“Lydia is AWESOME! She went above and beyond as our sitter. Not only did she hanging out with our kitty but she also brought my packages out of the rain. Lydia was really kind and quickly won over my grumpy cat. She’s a keeper for sure!”

“Ravynne was so sweet and kind, she communicated very well and took great care of our babies while we were gone! She kept us informed of any and every change or concern with the pets and even cleaned up some messes! 10/10 recommend!!”

“Naomi provided our family with wonderful service and, more importantly with peace of mind. We have 2 geriatric cats, one of whom is not well, and a 7 year old who can be a handful. None of the 3 has been alone for a protracted period of time let alone been boarded. We are so thankful to have had Naomi take such good care of our fur babies. She left our home in great shape, and collected our mail and delivered packages which was icing on the cake. We highly recommend her and will seek her out if we go out of town again.”

I can do evening runs, and the weekends are pretty flexible for me to walk. I have the softest spot for any animal! I’ve had birds, rabbits, hamsters, 2 dogs, a cat. I wish I could have more but my corgi is antisocial.

“Cassandra was an excellent sitter for my senior short-haired tabby cat for the long Memorial Day weekend. She followed the pre-arranged schedule perfectly and performed all the requested duties completely. She communicated with me for every visit, giving details of my cat’s behavior and wellbeing, and providing photos of my cat with each visit. I am very happy with Cassandra’s service and would definitely use her again!”

“Oh my goodness Megan C. Is the best! She took wonderful care of our cats and respected our home over our week long vacation. She communicated with us about the important and not important details of her visits. We came home to 2 very happy cats, clean litter boxes, a beautiful note and pictures of our babies while we were gone. We will definitely be using her again whether it’s for just a day or another 8 day getaway!”
“Cy Cy, my cat, is a bit skittish and this was the first time we left her with a sitter. We had only been in Gatlinburg for a few hours when Frances sent a couple of pics of Cy Cy. She was on her back sleeping, just like she does at home, so she evidently felt safe. I really appreciate her care and anytime I need a sitter she will be my first call.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and to be honest I was a little nervous, but Vanessa made the process so easy! She was attentive, responsive, and sent lots of photos of my cat while I was away. I would strongly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and kind sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up having dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, Guinea Pigs, and birds. As I got older I was fortunate enough to move to the country where I also got to have horses, chickens, and goats. We even had a pet pig! I’ve cared for family and friends’ pets my whole life because they see the passion I have for animals. My dogs have all lived long healthy lives because of the love and care I provide. We currently have two Goldendoodles, who are littermate sisters. We obtained our girls after we lost all 3 of our senior dogs within a year. Our hearts were broken and we knew our home needed dogs running around. We got them at 13 weeks old and had them trained to go out in less than a week. By the next week they knew to ring the bells to go out. We had them crate trained after 3 nights and the only time there was an accident in the crate was when they had an upset stomach. We only used the crates for when we were going to be out and at night. This kept them safe from home hazards. They both loved their crates as it was their safe space. They have both outgrown their crates and sleep in the room with us. They are 2 years old and completely spoiled! If you select me to care for your baby, he/she will get all the love and cuddles the can handle. I am retired but I still have so much energy and what better way to spend my time than playing with animals. I’m available 7 days a week to care for your pets. Currently I am not keeping fur babies in my home due to lack of fencing. Once we fence in our yard I will offer in home care.
About: (PSA - I’m married! So if you don’t mind a couple watching your pets, we’ll be more than happy to serve you! The below agreement will still apply, of course; there’s just a second set of hands. I can also watch your home and pets solo if that’s what you prefer. 🥰) Home/Pet Owner Satisfaction Agreement: - My personal motto is "Leave it better than you found it." - Your home will be taken care as if it was my own. - I will do light cleaning and even landscaping if needed, so your home stays well kept. - Your pets will receive the attention they deserve. - I will do my absolute best to make sure their daily routine stays the same as if you were home. - I will send you all the pictures and updates, so you can have peace of mind that your pets are happy, safe, and well taken care of. - If you ask me to do something, it will get done. - When you return home, you'll be able to rest immediately because your home will be clean and your pets happy (though definitely excited to see you again!). I always don't trust people easily, and I usually rely on myself a lot to get things done. So it'd be scary for me to have a stranger taking care of my home and pets. I'd worry constantly over my furry family. That's why I try to immediately put you at ease during our initial conversation and respect your home and pet(s). I grew up with pets (hence the 20 years of experience), so I am definitely an animal lover. I've also house/pet sit here on Rover and by word-of-mouth referrals for two years now and already have 32 reviews of pleased home and pet owners. After reading the reviews on my profile and browsing the photo gallery (Get ready for cuteness overload and not from me!), here's how you can work with me: 1. Send me a message. 2. In that message, tell me about your pets, their needs, and what dates you'll be gone. 3. We'll adjust the pricing if needed. 4. Before finalizing the booking, I will meet you and your pet(s) in your home for you to walk me through the daily routine and see if we're a good fit. 5. If both parties agree, we confirm the booking. It's that easy! Thank you so much in advance for trusting me with your home and pet(s)! In return, I will strive to take the best care of your home and pet(s). So that you won't loose any sleep worrying if they're okay or not. That way, you can actually enjoy your vacation or fully focus on business and/or family while you're gone. I work remotely full time as a writer and freelance marketer, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I’m completely available any day for whatever you need and will be able to give your home and pet(s) the attention they deserve. I will follow whatever instructions you give to a T. As a creative person, my brain can be scattered, but having instructions in a text or list helps a ton. That way, you have utmost peace of mind that your home and pet(s) are receiving the best care!

I currently work full time at Lincoln Memorial University. I can only do weekends because of my schedule, but I can also see what I can do to help during the week! I do not have a fenced in yard. My dogs have been trained to stay in the yard. I have 3 dogs, they are younger and very playful. I also have 3 cats. Even though I do not have a fence, I can offer walks in the yard or walking up and down the road and put them on the leash while they use the bathroom. I have a whole room dedicated for the animals where they can stay unless they are kept uncaged then they can have free roam of the house.
About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life—dogs, cats, chickens, even baby cows—raising them with love, responsibility, patience, compassion, kindness and experience from a young age. PLEASE GIVE ME A DAY TO RESPOND, I work full time at a dental office, I love taking care of pet for part time. 🥰 I work during the week, sometimes I can make it back during lunch, but it really depends on traffic. My fiancé working night shift so he lets your pet out during the day, makes sure they have fresh water, and gives them a treat. After that, we feed them dinner, spend time playing and cuddling. I have pets of my own, but they will be kept separate from yours unless they are well-acquainted and get along comfortably. My home features a fully fenced backyard where your pet can safely play and take bathroom breaks. I welcome pets on the furniture, so your furry companion is free to relax and feel at home. I treat every pet in my care with the same love and attention as my own. Additionally, I live in a walkable community, perfect for giving your pet regular walks and outdoor time.
About: I’ve had lifelong love for animals of all kinds, shapes and sizes!! I provide dependable, compassionate care tailored to each pets unique personality and needs! Currently I’m a Grad student a Carson Newman, this gives me the flexibility to provide care at most hours and any day of the week!! When caring for pets in my home or a clients home, I provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment tailored to each pets needs paying close attention to specific instructions from pet owners keeping all parties involved feeling relaxed and comfortable!
About: I've had both cats and dogs my whole life and I have been boarding and walking dogs through River for about three years now! I recently relocated to Knoxville and am excited to take on new clients to spend time with their fur babies and treat them as my own! Lots of treats and lots of love involved typically 🤗 I am able to walk dogs or drop by and check on your dog or cat any time of the week or weekend! I am flexible so I can fit whatever day or time works best for my clients. I do not currently board in my home. If I come to your home to watch after your pet, I am very respectful of your home and the items in it. I want to make your pet as comfortable as possible and maintain their regular eating schedule. I will ensure they have access to drinking water at all times and get frequent potty breaks, every two hours or so. We will go for walks, if permitted, and spend extra time with play toys and cuddles!
“Lucy was great! She came over to meet my dogs before the day she would be coming to pet sit. One of my dogs has been known to be afraid of strangers when we're not home. She was able to give both of my dogs potty breaks and she updated me when she was finished at my house. 5 stars!!”

About: I have several years of professional experience working hands on with dogs in boarding, daycare, enrichment, and training environments. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels, from young puppies learning appropriate manners to senior dogs who need a slower, more individualized approach. My experience includes dog training, enrichment activities, group play supervision, leash handling, feeding and medication routines, recognizing canine body language, and working with dogs who may be nervous, overstimulated, reactive, or simply need a little extra patience. I’m comfortable adapting care to the individual dog rather than expecting every dog to enjoy or respond to the same things. Most importantly, I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. I currently have open availability and plenty of time to dedicate to your pets! I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop ins, playtime, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and keep their schedule as consistent as possible while you’re away. Safety and your pet’s comfort are always my priority. My professional experience has taught me to pay close attention to canine body language, stress signals, behavior changes, and each dog’s individual boundaries. I follow your pet’s established routine and care instructions closely and never force interactions they’re uncomfortable with. Whether your dog is outgoing, nervous, high energy, or needs a little extra patience, I’ll adjust my care to what makes them feel safest and most comfortable.

“Francis was so happy at Erin’s home, he wasn’t ready to leave when I came to get him! Erin was quick to respond to all of my messages and made me feel like Francis was in great hands. I’m so happy to see him this way and I’ll definitely be using Erin again!”

“Angelica and Elizabeth were wonderful with my fur baby. I missed him like crazy but I knew he was in good hands. I received pictures and videos frequently. I will definitely use them again. They treated him like their own. Thank you”
