“Katarina did an amazing job. She asked great questions and made sure to get to know our dog prior to boarding. She took care of our dog for 4 nights and we really appreciated the daily photos and updates on things they did during the day. Easy to communicate with and convenient location. Would recommend”

About: I’m from Pierre, SD, and I’ve grown up around animals my entire life. I’ve worked with all types of animals and am incredibly comfortable, confident, and attentive when it comes to loving and caring for them. Your pets’ safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority. I am a teacher and typically work M-FRI from 730am to 3:16pm. Aside from that,I am pretty flexible. I would be able to come by in the mornings or after school. Typically, the weekends I would have more availability. I prefer to come to your home for pet sitting. If you require daily walks and check ins that is no problem so long as you are comfortable with working around my school hours on week days. I am happy to meet your needs and those of your pets. I love walking, playing and cuddling. Let me know your preferences and should I or you have any questions or concerns we can further discuss. Also, I don’t have formal training administering meds orally or via injection but I feel comfortable if you walk me through the process.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Pierre
About: I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, snakes, lizards, rodents, birds, and fish! I have yet to meet an animal that doesn't like me and vice versa. I previously worked at a vet clinic/ kennel for a few months in Iowa, we then spent 2 years in North Carolina before moving to Arizona, then back to this great state I grew up in. My husband and I fostered 14 dogs from March 2018- May 2019 so I have experience with a large variety of breeds, backgrounds, and health conditions. He was also a Military Working Dog Handler for 3 years. I currently own a Border Collie that we are training to be a cadaver dog and a Bernese Mountain Dog that we are training for migraine detection and alert. I also have experience doing basic grooming such as baths, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, even with difficult dogs. I do have experience with Military Working Dogs (we even adopted one!) and other working dogs that are high drive, so if that sounds like your pup, no worries! I have reliable transportation and am flexible with my scheduling. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for considering me. -Note: all dogs do need to be kennel trained for the safety of your dog and our household. If I need to leave the dog unattended for any reason they will be kenneled temporarily to keep them from getting in to anything or injuring themselves from separation anxiety. *I will not be taking clients with fleas. This goes for Daycare, Boarding, and Drop-in visits. If your pet does have fleas, I will charge extra to buy protection and preventative for my own dogs, furniture, and professional pest control. Flea charge for drop-ins is an additional $15/visit as inconvenience pay. With Boarding and Daycare there is zero tolerance and if your pet has fleas, I can assist in finding a new sitter. *There is an additional fee for pick up and drop off for both Boarding and Daycare, so please plan accordingly when booking. I stay at home almost all day, every day so I have plenty of time to give your dog attention and let him or her play with our dog, Baymax. In your home I can assure that your pet will be treated as if I were caring for a human baby. I understand that your pet is an important family member, and they will be cared for as such. I can do a bit of basic obedience training, go for a slow jog, or just let your pet run around the house/ yard and get lots of love!

About: You’ll need someone reliable, easy to communicate with, and someone who truly cares about your pets, and that’s exactly what I bring. I’ve been around animals my whole life, and my dog Vinny has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and understanding each pet’s personality. I treat every dog and cat like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m based in the Pierre/Fort Pierre area, and I take pride in being dependable and doing things the right way. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or just spending time with your pet, I’ll make sure they’re happy, exercised, and well taken care of. I know how important trust is when it comes to your animals, so I’ll always keep you updated and make sure you feel confident while they’re in my care. I have a flexible schedule and can provide care during weekdays and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins, and I do my best to work around your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. I provide a safe, calm, and attentive environment for every pet. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your pet feels comfortable at all times. I can crate if needed and always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and trust.
