“Having just traveled across the country, we found ourselves staying with relatives for a time while we waited for our new apartment to be open for us. Our standard poodle, Ranger, was not understanding why we never seemed to be going home, and that was what he wanted most to do. We were very thankful that our relatives had been able to accommodate us, however, having Ranger in their home was not working well for them. So, we looked for a rover.com care person in the area to help us out for the days until we could move into our apartment. That’s where Dee came in. She was gracious and accommodating. She opened her home to Ranger for ten days, and made him welcome. In other boarding situations in the past, he was cared for, but he ALWAYS lost a considerable amount of weight. Not with Dee!! Dee gave Ranger all of the TLC he needed even during this time that was so uncertain for him. She got her hands right into his food and mixed his Fresh Pet food with his kibble so that every piece of kibble was coated with the tastier food. And it worked! Because even though he may have been missing us, he ate! And he didn’t lose any weight! We could tell she had gone the extra mile with him, and we are very grateful for the care she gave him. Five stars doesn’t even say enough for how happy we are with the care she gave our Ranger.”

The only thing I would mention for anyone with chemical sensitives Elora did come home smelling like a lot of artificial fragrances as did everything we dropped her off with and needed a good bath (she was not pleased about that) as we are chemical sensitive. This has nothing to do with the quality of care, and the genuine heart of Angela and her family just something to be aware of for those who have chemical sensitivities to artificial fragrances which is why I have rated 4 stars.”

About: I've taken care of animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm so I have extended experience with horses, goats, cows, dogs, and cats. I regularly watch a friend's cats when they are out of town. I can feed, bathe, administer oral or topical medicine, walk, and play with pets. I currently have 1 elderly dog that is docile and friendly. I am able to care for senior dogs and dogs with additional needs or medical needs as I have experience through my own as well as caring for others' animals. About: I've always liked to rescue animals and care for them from a young age. So lots of my family and friends would bring animals to me or trust me to petsit for them. I've not only cared for dogs and cats, but also turtles, toads, and a few birds. I'm currently solely attending classes so I have plenty of availability for your pets to always feel well cared for during their stay with me! I have a fenced patio, luckily there are a few pet friendly parks that surround me. I follow any instructions given for your pet care to a T since no one knows your pet like you do. I have a housemate, but she is just as loving to any animal brought in.

About: I have been helping to care of dogs and cats for my family and friends over about 12 years now. About 4 years ago I began to volunteer with local animal shelters and rescues. Through these rescues I have been able to foster, take dogs on "field trips," and socialize so many sweet fur babies! “Having just traveled across the country, we found ourselves staying with relatives for a time while we waited for our new apartment to be open for us. Our standard poodle, Ranger, was not understanding why we never seemed to be going home, and that was what he wanted most to do. We were very thankful that our relatives had been able to accommodate us, however, having Ranger in their home was not working well for them. So, we looked for a rover.com care person in the area to help us out for the days until we could move into our apartment. That’s where Dee came in. She was gracious and accommodating. She opened her home to Ranger for ten days, and made him welcome. In other boarding situations in the past, he was cared for, but he ALWAYS lost a considerable amount of weight. Not with Dee!! Dee gave Ranger all of the TLC he needed even during this time that was so uncertain for him. She got her hands right into his food and mixed his Fresh Pet food with his kibble so that every piece of kibble was coated with the tastier food. And it worked! Because even though he may have been missing us, he ate! And he didn’t lose any weight! We could tell she had gone the extra mile with him, and we are very grateful for the care she gave him. Five stars doesn’t even say enough for how happy we are with the care she gave our Ranger.”
