About: I love cats. Especially the type that wants to curl up next to me. Do to my boyfriend having an allergy to cats we currently don’t have any. But I don’t mind dropping in and taking care of the fur babies. I’m currently a 911 Dispatcher for Transylvania County. I work every other week there. (Week on; week off) I will post my monthly schedules that way you can know if I’m a best fit for you. I would prefer not to have other dogs at my home. I believe in tender love and care is how to treat any kinda animal. I'm fairly active on rover. Dogs help me with dealing with this issues I've felt with since I was a teenager. About: Caring for animals is something that runs in my family both my mother and my aunt are deeply involved in various rescues including but not limited to puppers, cats, even spiders of all shapes and sizes. We treat our fur babies like one of us and they are definitely part of the family. We will spend lots of time together walking through open fields and woods playing fetch if they are into those kinds of things I’m also ok with just sitting and sun bathing, we go fishing if the weather is nice. About: Hey there!! I've been around pets my whole life and absolutely LOVE them. We had a dog (dachshund) growing up as well as other animals like Rabbits and Guinea Pigs! I've had cats and dogs throughout my life as well. My bestie dog was named Sadie (corgi/husky mix) who was 17 when I had to let her go to the rainbow bridge March 2021...it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do 💔 I had her since she was about 1 yr old. She had a pacemaker put in about 2 yrs prior to passing and had a great life but I miss her like crazy. I've been Petsitting a long time but over the passed couple of years it's really helped heal my heart and has truly been a blessing. Most of my clients are from word of mouth over the years but I have this to help others get in touch with me if they need some help! I live in Lake Toxaway but I have jobs anywhere from Highlands, Trillium, Cullowhee, Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway to Brevard. I mostly stay at my client's homes but I do bring some dogs to my house if it ends up being a better option. I've done puppy care and senior care as well so that doesn't phase me. I also can do medication or treatments needed. If I'm booked up for in home pet care then I can do drop ins 2x a day for cats 🐱 I can possibly offer that for dogs too but they usually need it 3x a day. So that would all depend on my availability. I work part time caretaking properties/cleaning, and childcare so I'm mostly home! When I do need to leave I'm not gone more then 3-6 hrs, depending on the job. I can travel further if I can move jobs around in my area. I'm very flexible and try to make things work if I can! I currently don’t have a fenced in yard but I will walk around my neighborhood and have a decent sized backyard. I treat your babies like they're my own so they get lots of lovin. Sometimes we go to the State Park too! If they like car rides I'll take them to check my mail or little errands.

“Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: What separates me from other sitters is my level of patience and attentiveness, so you’ll never have to worry about your furry friend being lonely I currently work as a barista from the hours of 4am untill 11am, giving me all the time in the world to care for your pups or kittens! Supporting me helps out my education and because I am not working outside of pet sitting/walking I can really focus on giving your pet the care they deserve. About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up caring for our family dog, geese and ducks! Lately, i've committed myself to helping dogs and cats feel loved, safe and secure while their pet parents are away. I worked at a local veterinary clinic in their boarding department caring for overnight and long term clients. I previously worked at a local animal shelter for a year, where I learned the true responsibility of taking care of animals. Senior animals have such a special place in my heart! Animal happiness and safety is a main priority of mine. I am looking to take care of your animals part time and as needed! I have plenty of experience with all kinds of dogs and cats! I have 3 dogs currently, a shepherd mix, husky mix and a mini pin doberman alongside 2 cats! We have a large fenced in yard which allows us to let our dogs get their energy out and enjoy some time alone outside, while we continue to keep a close eye on them. The dogs are never out of my sight, I know how mischievous they tend to be.

About: My family has had pets all of my life, and now I have a sweet golden retriever of my own, Duke. He is one of the best things to ever happen to me. I understand first hand the importance of leaving your pets with someone you trust. This is so much more than a job to me, I love every chance I get to meet a new sweet dog or cat! My schedule is mostly open as I am finishing up with my prerequisites before I go into Dental Hygiene. I adore animals and will do whatever I need to that would be best for your pet to keep them comfortable! I do not mind any routine and I definitely understand wanting specific things for your pet. It is my job to cater to their needs and I am completely fine with however that looks for you and your family!
About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.
