“Megan is awesome. Great communication & moose loved playing and running in their yard. My first time leaving him with anyone and I felt assured he was in great hands. Definitely recommend”

“My babies absolutely loved her! My Maxx requires a complex medicine routine to include insulin shots, treatment for glaucoma, blindness and vestibular disease and a strict feeding routine. She handled it like a champ in addition to caring for my Lady Poo too. My go to person from now on!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier!! Jared was wonderful with our Gracy. He sent a ton of pictures every day so we wouldn't worry, and she looked so happy playing with the other pups!! Jared definitely treats the pups in his care like his own!!”

“Angela is a gem!!!! She took excellent care with our special needs dog! Dax requires a lot of medication and special foods because of his PLE disease. She and her family welcomed Dax, he was treated as one of their own. I would highly recommend Angela to care for your fur baby. We plan to schedule with her again when we travel.”

“Ms. Cristina did an amazing job watching our puppy Nala over the weekend! It was our first time leaving her, so we were a little nervous but Ms. Cristina did an amazing job and gave us lots of updates. She has a nice home and you dog will be safe and comfortable. And also get lots of exercise lol. She also sent pictures throughout the day. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be using her again!!”

“It was the first time I had left my 2 beloved dogs anywhere, and I was so lucky to have found Jen. She was always sending me updates and pictures and was very patient with my anxiety about leaving them for a whole week. They were free to roam about the house and loved the enclosed porch. They received a lot of love and attention and I will definitely be taking them back!”

“If you want the best possible care- go to the best possible family! This is the ONLY pet sitter to use! This family makes your pet part of theirs for as long as they have them! ❤️”

“Madison and her family were AMAZING!!! She was very responsive during the whole process. She sent 2-3 updates a day with pictures AND videos. I’ll definitely be using her for future bookings! Penny can’t wait to visit again!!! 💗🐾”

“Needed to book on very short notice for an emergency situation. Found Tara to be proactive and helpful in meeting our dog's needs. At first I think he didn't want to come home :) Tara met all needs and gave good updates with pictures and video. Also provided opportunities for socialization. Easy to recommend!”

“Stephanie was great! She was really good about communicating with me and responded quickly. When I had a timing mix-up she was flexible and worked around my schedule. I had never left my kitten at another house before, so she allowed me to do a little day care for free before the actual dates I was gone to allow him to get used to the environment which was so nice. She also had two very sweet but super active dogs and a friendly cat. My kitty is pretty chill and adjusted well but I could see all of the other animals (especially the dogs) potentially being a lot for a skiddish/anxious animal to handle. At the end of the day I got Kuzco back a very happy cat and I would definitely trust her to watch him again :) Thank you!!”

“Julie took good care of our kitten. She had plenty of toys and entertainement for her. She kept in touch, sending photos and texts while we were away. Our Kitty had grown and was in good spirits when we retrieved her. We would definitely request Julie as a care giver for our pet again in the future.”

“Heather was amazing! Our dog Sport had the best time while we were away for a week! Heather was a blessing to our family! She sent us daily updates with pictures and she was very loving to Sport, he also had a great time with the other dogs, which were very nice! Heather is great at her job, we are thankful we booked with her for the first time, and we will do it again!!! We recommend her 100% 👍 The Barnes family”

“Left our two large and active dogs with Garrett for a week while we went on vacation! They had the best time, we got pictures and updates everyday, and picked up clean dogs that were absolutely exhausted! We will definitely be looking to board with Garrett in the future!”

“Chloe and her husband were super amazing. Great communication and provided photos daily without having to ask. I know my pup enjoyed her time there as she came home crashed on the couch the rest of the day. Guessing she did a lot of running and playing. Thanks Chloe!”

“I always am so comfortable when I leave my pet with Shayne and Jonathan. This isn’t the first time I have used their pet services and won’t be the last. They are great communicators and send pictures. Sadie is always happy and tired after staying with them.”

“Isabella was a terrific choice to care for our five cats. We appreciated her efforts to ensure our more shy, older cats were fed, while our younger cats devoured their dinner. She definitely met all of our cat sitting needs while we were away from home. We would gladly have Isabella return.”

“Rachel is great with my cats! She takes the time to play with them, in addition to feedings, litter clean up and medications. She even took extra time to secure some of my belongings that had gotten blown over on my balcony after a bad storm. I can always count on at least a dozen fun pictures of my babies playing around, getting treats, etc. I feel so comfortable knowing my cats are well cared for while I’m away!”

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for dogs of all sizes and stages of life. I have three large-breed dogs of my own, and I’ve had all three since they were puppies, so I’m comfortable with everything from puppy care and training to keeping up with the needs of large and senior dogs. I’m also a firefighter, so I’m trained to stay calm and handle unexpected situations. I’m certified in dog CPR and take your pet’s safety seriously. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. “Single handedly made me a repeat user here on Rover. Super flexible, communicates consistently, and great with care. Our cats normally don’t leave the bedroom with new people but loved spending time with her. 10/10”

“Very pleased with the care that James gave my dog! He showed up on time, followed everything I asked, and made the whole experience stress-free. It really put me at ease knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely use him again!”

“We left our sweet kitty Elora with Angela and her family over Christmas. We were very grateful for her to accommodate her and bring her into her families celebration. Elora seemed to get along just fine with her and her animals and came home just as content as when we dropped her off. The only thing I would mention for anyone with chemical sensitives Elora did come home smelling like a lot of artificial fragrances as did everything we dropped her off with and needed a good bath (she was not pleased about that) as we are chemical sensitive. This has nothing to do with the quality of care, and the genuine heart of Angela and her family just something to be aware of for those who have chemical sensitivities to artificial fragrances which is why I have rated 4 stars.”

“Cassy is absolutely amazing—responsible and caring. She took the best care of my baby cat and treated her like her own. I received detailed updates, photos, and messages every day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would trust her again!”

“Cristina was able to accommodate us last minute to keep our doggie for the day. I got lots and lots of pictures as always and her family took such great care of LouLou for the day. Thank you Cristina.”

“Tara was great. She was waiting for Pickles at drop off and walked her several times. Frequent updates during the day were greatly appreciated. Waiting at pickup time made going home transition easy. Highly recommend Tara. She anticipates what owners want and delivers. An awesome sitter.”

“Chloe has a special hand with pets that few others have. She cared deeply for my timid kitty on her first daycare visit away from home. I can tell my sweet Mirabelle was taken good care of. If you’re uncertain about who to choose on Rover, look no further than this wonderful young woman! Her home was the perfect environment for my cat, both clean and cozy. She was quick to respond to my inquiries and texts, with a joy I could literally feel coming from her kind heart. Bless you Chloe”

About: Ever since I can recall, I've had a deep passion for looking after animals. Growing up on a farm surrounded by cows, piglets, chickens, and ducks, caring for them became second nature to me. In addition, I fondly remember our beloved catahoula dogs who were a cherished part of my childhood. I have experience with giving insulin to animals, pills, and liquid medications. It's always a delight to extend love and care to someone else's furry companions, and I look forward to the opportunity to do so for your beloved pets. Currently, I work full time in finance remotely, which allows me to provide around-the-clock care for your pets. I have flexible breaks and lunch hours, providing ample opportunities to give your pets the attention and care they deserve. Let me know your pets needs! Where they like to sleep, their favorite toy. Any medications they may need or anything I need to know.

“My dog, Buster, loves coming to play with Garrett and Garrett’s pup, Dax, for doggy day care! Even though Buster is older he still has a lot of energy, and he is the only dog in our home. Buster gets socialization and play time with Dax in Garrett’s fenced in backyard and comes home both happy and tired! Highly recommend Garrett (and Dax)!”

“Rachel was super thorough even before our daycare day, reviewing our pup Shadow's instructions and asking questions about his breakfast time which would overlap with his drop-off which was super appreciated. Rachel and her fiance kept us updated with videos and great pictures of Shadow. Shadow had a great time with Dax, they were super fast friends and really wore eachother out. Shadow was tired for days afterwards from the exertion which was great for us. We will happily use them again for daycare or a longer stay.”

About: Hello there! I'm Razelle, your local dog walker reporting for duty! I'm here to make sure your pup gets the best care possible. I currently do remote work and have found plenty of dedicated time to do something I really enjoy on the side. As a certified Rover pro, I provide all sorts of services. From dog walking to house sitting and drop-in visits. But what sets me apart from the rest of the sitters is my passion for your dog’s well-being. I've had countless reviews on Rover and other platforms commenting that I treat their dog as my own. If you have training regimes or a set schedule, you can count on me to get it done! I also incorporate basic obedience training during our walks [if requested]. I teach simple commands like "Heel," "Look," and "Sit" to keep your pup focused and obedient, even in the face of distractions. This can be important when facing unexpected encounters! FRIENDLINESS WITH OTHERS REQUIRED: Safety is a top priority for me, as I understand that your dog's well-being is of the utmost importance to you. For this reason, I am unable to care for dogs with a history of attacking other dogs or humans. Furthermore, if your dog exhibits any aggressive behavior during a visit, I will be unable to continue caring for them in the future. This policy ensures the safety of all dogs and humans in my care and allows me to provide the best possible service to you and your furry companion. WALKING SUPPLIES? To ensure that your dog's walk is safe and enjoyable, please make sure that your pup has a well-fitted collar or harness, and that you have poop bags and a leash at the ready. While shoes are not required, I recommend them for added safety and comfort during your dog's adventure. Thank you for helping me provide the best possible care for your pup! Disclaimer: Ensuring that your dog's collar or harness is well-fitted is crucial to their safety during walks. If I determine that the collar or harness cannot be properly adjusted to fit your dog securely, I will be unable to walk your furry friend, as this increases the risk of your dog getting loose and running away. Please be mindful of the fit of your dog's collar or harness before scheduling a walk to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for your pup. SCHEDULE? Monday-Friday: 6 AM - 11 PM Weekends: 6 AM - 11 PM *Times subject to change according to the sunrise/sunset* --------------------------------------------------------------------- FAQ: *WILL YOU SEND UPDATES OF MY DOGS?* You betcha! At the end of every walk or stay, I'll send you a detailed report on how your furry friend fared. You can expect to see all the commands we used during our walk, the exciting experiences your pup had, and of course, plenty of adorable photos from our time together. Who knows, you might even find yourself printing out the report and hanging it up on your fridge for all to see! *I HAVE NEVER LEFT MY DOG BEFORE, WILL HE OR SHE BE OKAY?* It is natural for some dogs to experience separation anxiety when being cared for by someone new. As a professional dog walker, I do my utmost to ensure that each dog feels comfortable and at ease with plenty of interaction and attention. It is not uncommon for new surroundings to disrupt a dog's digestive system, resulting in loose stools. However, there is no cause for alarm as this is a normal reaction to a change in routine. Typically, after 1-2 visits, the dog's digestive system will adjust, and any issues will resolve. It is important to note that the level of reaction varies depending on the dog's unique personality and temperament. *WHAT IF MY DOG IS SPECIAL NEEDS?* I am able to care for nearly ALL special needs dogs! 1) Allergies: Please let me know of any beforehand! 2) Medicine: info must be written on a note alongside food, with dosage, etc. (non-medical injections such as insulin is okay. In the state of Virginia, medical/complex injections require specific qualifications/certifications, which I do not have.) 3) Diapers are okay 4) Blind or Deaf? I’ve cared for several blind/deaf dogs and they’re always great! 5) Paralyzed: I have experience with a pitbull who was paralyzed from the waste down due to an incident. I kept up with physical therapy, indoor accidents, cleaning/caring, hand feeding. 5) Something Else? Let me know *HOW WILL MY DOGS BE CARED FOR?* When caring for your pup during visits and stays, their personality is my top priority. I will adjust my activity level according to their specific needs to ensure their safety and comfort. In the case of inclement weather or unfortunate situations that may cause your pup to get dirty, rest assured that I will have a towel or wipes readily available to clean them up. You can trust that I will provide the utmost care for your furry friend. Disclaimer: Please note that dogs can learn from their canine companions during visits. However, I cannot be held responsible for any habits that your dog may pick up from other dogs. Additionally, I cannot be held liable if your dog decides to consume unusual debris or objects during our visit. It is essential to keep a close eye on your dog and guarantee their safety at all times. *GROOMING?* Although I don't do grooming myself, I don't mind picking up and dropping your dog off at your preferred groomer/grooming salon for $10 each way. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any injuries/damages/harm the grooming salon may cause to your dog. Please make sure that this is a groomer/salon that you TRUST. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT MY DOG Meet Suki, my adorable 3 year old Blue Merle Border Collie! She's sweet as honey and loves everyone, including cats, dogs, and humans of all ages. I can't guarantee she won't lick you to death, but hey, that's just her way of saying hello! I'm pretty strict when it comes to Suki's diet and exercise routine. She gets fed twice a day with a slow feeder to avoid any mishaps, and I make sure to keep her brain active with mentally stimulating games when we're not out and about. Speaking of which, we hit the dog park 3-5 times a week and go on hikes and runs at the lake. Suki's a ball of energy and loves playing fetch, so be prepared to throw that ball a few times! Now, let me be honest with you. It's highly unlikely, but on occasion, Suki might come along for a walk or a drop-in visit and hang out in my car. Don't worry, she's super chill and won't leave any fur behind. But if you're not cool with it, just let me know, and I'll make sure she stays home, catching up on her favorite TV shows or something. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you want to chat about your pet concerns and their needs. Again, I am home mostly all of the day. Anything else you would want to tell me I would love to hear! Monday: 6 AM - 11 PM Tuesday: 6 AM - 11 PM Wednesday: 6 AM - 11 PM Thursday: 6 AM - 11 PM Friday: 6 AM - 11 PM Saturday: 6 AM - 11 PM Sunday: 6 AM - 11 PM *Times subject to change depending on the sunrise/sunset* UNAVAILABLE DATES: August 11th, 17th, 2024 September 13th-15th, 2024 December [PENDING] As a professional pet sitter, I am willing to do some serious acrobatics to keep your home spick and span, even if your furry friend decides to have a little accident. “She did a great job getting to know our pup and his routines with a meet and greet prior to the first walking. She was communicative throughout and on time. She did a great job with him.”

“Since we just relocated from Florida, we were a bit lost trying to find a pet sitter for our morkie. Since only friends and family watched him, we were a very nervous. Mikayla was wonderful and took great care of our little guy. We will continue to use Mikayla.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of personal attention and care I give to each pet. I take time to learn their routine, quirks and comfort needs so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I have experience with both tiny puppies and kittens feeding bottles. To senior pets who need a little extra patience and gentle care. I’m reliable, attentive to detail, and treat every animal like my own—making sure they get plenty of love, playtime, and comfort no matter their age or energy level. While working part- time subbing for elementary schools locally. I take on a few side jobs, I am a nanny so I have a flexible schedule, especially in the summer. I have one dog and three outdoor cats. I also have a large fenced in backyard with lots of room to play and make themselves at home!
About: My résumé includes dogs, cats, muddy boots, mystery noises in barns, and convincing animals that the thing they absolutely do not want to do is actually a great idea. I've learned that patience, consistency, and a pocket full of treats or a favorite toy solve most problems. Animals have always been a huge part of my world. On any given day, I might be caring for horses, spending time with my dogs and cats, or helping a nervous animal feel comfortable in a new situation. I understand that every pet is different. Some want a long walk and a game of fetch. Some want a quiet companion who respects their space. Some have very strong opinions about breakfast arriving precisely on time. I have experience caring for animals of all ages, from energetic youngsters to seniors who need a slower pace and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with large dogs, multi-pet households, and pets with established routines that need to be followed carefully. Friends often describe me as observant and dependable. I pay attention to details, communicate clearly, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's personality. Whether your pet is an adventure buddy, a professional napper, or a lovable troublemaker, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you're away. As a lifelong animal owner, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I will treat them with the same attention and respect I give my own. I currently have flexible availability most days of the week and can often accommodate pet care requests around my existing animal care responsibilities. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, so I understand the importance of consistency, communication, and showing up when expected. Beginning in August, my availability will shift as I start graduate school, and I will primarily be available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. I believe in being upfront about scheduling and only accepting bookings that I can fully commit to, so you can count on reliable care and clear communication. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to follow it as closely as possible. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, meals (if needed), potty breaks, exercise, and attention tailored to their personality. Some pets want to play, some want belly rubs, and some prefer a quiet companion who respects their space. For walks, I focus on safety, consistency, and making sure your dog gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I pay attention to weather conditions, energy levels, and each dog's comfort and confidence. I also keep an eye on the little things. As someone who has cared for animals for many years, I know that changes in appetite, energy, mobility, or behavior can be important. If I notice something unusual, I will communicate it promptly. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the household itself. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you're away, and for you to come home to a happy pet and a home just as you left it.

About: I have had cats and dogs in my life since I was little. I have always had a strong passion for animal care and showing all animals the love they deserve. I have put in volunteer hours at the local county fair within the barn, caring for and feeding the farm animals. I have also completed a trading course in farm animal care and veterinary medicine. I myself have two dogs and two cats and they are my whole world and I know your pets are yours too! They shouldn't have to be alone and you shouldn't have to worry about them, so let me ease both your minds! I am currently unemployed elsewhere so my schedule is extremely flexible. Mondays are the only day that I have personal events so feel free to message me for booking! I will first and foremost respect your home when I check on your pets, I am only there for the pets and whatever the pets need unless you specifically tell me otherwise for whatever reason. I will of course ease your pet if they seem stressed, take them out for necessary exercise and potty time, feed them as needed, administer whatever medication they may need at that time, and of course clean up any messes that could be made. I want to make sure they get proper socialization and exercise while they await your return, they won’t feel lonely as long as I can help it!
About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for animals, beginning with early exposure to veterinary clinics where I spent time shadowing and learning animal handling and care from a young age. This foundation grew into professional veterinary technician experience, where I worked with dogs and cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs, including senior pets, puppies, and animals requiring daily medications or specialized care. In addition to my veterinary background, I volunteered with a service dog organization where I raised and trained future guide dogs. This experience strengthened my skills in leash training, socialization, crate training, and positive reinforcement methods while working with high-expectation working dogs in real-world environments. I also actively continue dog training as a personal passion and have earned three AKC Trick Dog titles with my own dog. Because of this, I’m very comfortable working with energetic dogs, reinforcing basic obedience, and providing structured enrichment during walks and visits. I currently share my home with two dogs and a cat, so I understand day-to-day pet care, multi-pet dynamics, and the importance of consistency and routine. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is always to provide safe, reliable, and attentive care whether that means a structured walk, a drop-in visit, medication administration, or simply making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I structure my day around consistency and flexibility. I am able to accommodate morning, midday, and afternoon visits, as well as regular walking schedules and drop-in care throughout the week. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can prioritize pet care visits and ensure pets receive attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship on time. I’m used to building my day around routines, whether that’s scheduled walks, feeding times, or medication needs. I value clear communication and reliability, and I make it a priority to be punctual and consistent with every visit so pets feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and secure while their owners are away. I follow all instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific care needs. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets receive attention, fresh water, feeding if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and any required medication. I also take time to provide companionship and help pets feel calm and comfortable before leaving. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match the dog’s energy level and needs. I pay close attention to leash manners, surroundings, and each dog’s comfort level to ensure a positive experience. I always treat each home with respect, keep things clean and organized, and provide updates so owners feel informed and confident while they are away.

“I wanted to reach out and thank Abby for being so diligent about keeping us updated whenever her schedule changes. We truly appreciate her communication and the care she provides. We are entrusting both of our dogs to Abby's care. One of them is particularly sensitive due to his age and general nature. I have been genuinely worried about his well-being. We would not trust just anyone with our pets. We have a great deal of confidence in Abby and feel very comfortable having them in her care.”

“Left our two large and active dogs with Garrett for a week while we went on vacation! They had the best time, we got pictures and updates everyday, and picked up clean dogs that were absolutely exhausted! We will definitely be looking to board with Garrett in the future!”

“I always am so comfortable when I leave my pet with Shayne and Jonathan. This isn’t the first time I have used their pet services and won’t be the last. They are great communicators and send pictures. Sadie is always happy and tired after staying with them.”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“Our dog Tulla had a great time at Ben's house and playing with his dog. They have a nice backyard for outside play. Ben was very responsive to our questions and sent us pictures and updates. Ben was very accommodating and flexible with the drop off and pick up times, which made our time away stress free.”

“First time my furbaby, Powder was away from me for an extended period of tome. Rusty was super, he calmed my concerns by helping set up a meet and greet. Messged me often with updates and photos. My baby really enjoyed the large fenced in yard.”

“I felt comfortable leaving Buddy with Israel and his wife, both are super sweet! Buddy definitely had fun and I had peace of mind which is priceless!!!! Thank you again for everything! Buddy will see you soon!”

“Rachel and her husband Graham are fantastic! I was a nervous dog mom leaving my pup who needs twice a day meds. They were super communicative about giving him his meds throughout the week and sent lots of videos, pictures, and updates so I knew he was relaxed and having a good time. Shadow gets along great with their dog Dax and we look forward to more future playdates with him and the other visitors.”
