“This was our first time ever boarding our 17 month old Shih Tzu. And we had to leave him in the cone of shame for a sore he wouldn’t stop licking. I was uneasy to say the least. But our little guy liked Evelyn from the start. She has a calm, easy going demeanor that he liked instantly. She sent me photos and updates regularly especially since I was nervous about the sore on his skin. His stay went off without a hitch. We will definitely be using Evelyn again. About: We are a military family, we’ve moved around quite a bit and have opened our home to so many dogs in so many different states. I have 3 kids who are used to animals (especially bigger dogs). We have a private yard (unfenced, leads and leashes used and always supervised). We recently welcomed a dog permanently into our home so we do have one female dog in the house, she is crated when needed and very friendly otherwise. I’m home all day and would love a buddy or two to join us from time to time! I only ask that dogs are kid friendly! We don’t mind animals on furniture but will adhere to any at home rules you may set (if you don’t allow them to do certain things at home, I won’t deter any training and let them do it here and vice versa!). Crate trained dogs are preferred but definitely not required! Just know a lot of dogs may do better in a new setting by having their own spaces to retreat to! I love spending time with our furry friends and bringing joy to their day-to-day life! I am currently home for the summer after wrapping up my freshman year of college, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I typically have social events Thursday and Friday evenings, and my Saturdays and Sundays are relatively free (all other days of the week are open). I would take care of your dog(s) based on your instructions. Some might want longer walks while others might need shorter ones. It all depends on the individual. I’m flexible with timing and happy to provide extra check-ins if your furry family member needs a little more company or care. At home, my pets are truly family, and their care reflects that every day. I feed my German Shepherd, Grischa and Boxer mix, Elsa, every morning and evening with their vitamins, fish oil, and allergy medication, and my cat Brey gets his meals on the same schedule. I scoop the litter box daily to keep things fresh, and the dogs enjoy multiple trips to our fenced backyard — staying out as long as they want when the weather is nice. They get healthy treats throughout the day, but only after a good shake, spin, stay, or another fun trick. Caring for them is part of my routine and one of my favorite parts of the day.

About: Hello I’m Jasmyn, I grew up with dogs all of my life and as I got older I would watch my friends and peers dogs. I’m familiar with older dogs and giving medications, nap times water breaks and outside time. I’m available any time of the week and a typical day would look like, walks, cuddles, play time and medication administration if needed. I am at the hospital 3 times out the week but my schedule is pretty flexible for whenever you need a dog walked. Morning and evenings and especially weekends work. I usually follow any rules you enforce but I usually do the usual, keep them on a leash and monitoring them to make sure they’re being safe.

About: We are a military family, we’ve moved around quite a bit and have opened our home to so many dogs in so many different states. I have 3 kids who are used to animals (especially bigger dogs). We have a private yard (unfenced, leads and leashes used and always supervised). We recently welcomed a dog permanently into our home so we do have one female dog in the house, she is crated when needed and very friendly otherwise. I’m home all day and would love a buddy or two to join us from time to time! I only ask that dogs are kid friendly! We don’t mind animals on furniture but will adhere to any at home rules you may set (if you don’t allow them to do certain things at home, I won’t deter any training and let them do it here and vice versa!). Crate trained dogs are preferred but definitely not required! Just know a lot of dogs may do better in a new setting by having their own spaces to retreat to! “Our Louis is a 5-month old yorkiepoo, weighs 6 pounds, and has never stayed with anyone other than family. We were apprehensive about leaving him with non-family for 5 days while we cruised but did not have a choice. We searched Rover, chatted with a few people, found Nontombe and the end result is that we (and apparently Louis) completely adore Nontombe. Nontombe sent us videos and pictures and it was clear to see Louis was right at home with someone who loved on him and played with him. We were also worried about how Louis would get along with the other dogs being cared for but Nontombe outlined her plan to us to introduce Louis and what would happen if the dogs did not get along and the videos and pictures of Louis and the other dogs made us feel even more comfortable. It was also clear to us that Nontombe loves animals and is great with them. We recommend her for the care of your young and older fur babies and personally, we won’t use anyone else.”
