“Ann and Jaren were absolutely wonderful! They took such great care of my sweet Ernie for 10 days, and I could tell he was happy and loved while I was gone. It was such a relief knowing he was in such good hands. On top of that, they made things so easy for me—I was able to leave my car at their house, and they even gave me a ride to the airport. Truly above and beyond! I’m so grateful to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to ask them again.”

“My dog seemed to really enjoy her time with Marnette, David, and Gouda. This was the first time we had our dog stay with someone who we didn’t know personally. I was nervous, but Marnette and David took very good care of our dog. They are trustworthy and kind. We appreciated check-ins and pictures in the morning and at night. Highly recommend!”

“Kharen is wonderful! We had a last minute cancellation where we used to board our dogs and fortunately Kharen had room for Ozzy and Milly. “You know your dog is happy with your sitter when you go the next time and he pulls on his leash to get into her house! We are so happy with Shawna’s care of Rufus while we were away. Also we were very thankful she noticed a hotspot under his armpit and got him well on the way to recovery before we returned. Rufus will definitely be back! 😊”

If you’re in the Asheville area and looking for someone to watch your pup, look no further! Will definitely rebook if I’m back in town. Thanks again!”

“I highly recommend Caroline! From the moment we met, it was clear that she has a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of their needs. Caroline kept us updated throughout our time away, sending us regular photos and messages about our furbabies. This not only eased our minds but also showed us how much they were enjoying their time together. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, look no further than Caroline. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

“Elizabeth was such a delight and godsend for us. She was very attentive to the needs of the pets, and showed care like they were her own. She is patient, and goes above and beyond with communication. We are very happy with finding her, definitely recommend her, and will be using her again. Welcoming someone into your home is always a bit anxiety inducing, but she made us feel very comfortable and confident to leave our precious animals in her care.”
“Megan did a great job! She took time to let our cats get comfortable with her and that is kind of a challenge with our Keller who is essentially blind and quite skeptical of meeting new people. Megan posted pictures and videos showing how they responded to her so well. She kept us up to date on her visits giving us confidence that they were in good hands while we were away. I highly recommend her!”

“Heather is absolutely incredible & caring! She really went out of her way to make sure my pups were well taken care of. She is amazing!! Highly recommend Heather for an incredible experience!”

“Mallory was very responsive and sweet to my bonded pair of cats while I left them alone with a sitter for the first time. I never had to worry about them in her care.”

“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for my cat and home while I was out of town! She maintained great communication throughout my time away and made my cat feel very comfortable. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Megan was awesome! She clearly loves her own pets. I appreciated that she let our dog inside the house and on the bed with her for snuggles. We got lots of photo updates. Her yard is large and fenced in as well.”

“We were initially apprehensive about leaving our anxious pup at doggie daycare, but upon meeting Jaren, our worries melted away. Their fenced-in, lush green yard, complete with a variety of dog toys, immediately reassured us. We were warmly greeted by their adorable mini Aussie Shepherd, Bowie, who quickly became fast friends with our dog, Dale. Meeting Ann and their other two friendly doggies only reinforced the welcoming atmosphere. The easygoing nature of the household made drop-offs and pick-ups effortless. Dale returned home pleasantly tired from a day of play, without feeling overwhelmed.”

“Michelle was very responsive and attentive to our dogs during a daytime visit at her home. They are not boarded very often and it was comforting that she gave them the attention they needed. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I have been boarding and dog walking for the past 5-years, mostly for neighbors back home when I lived in Maryland. We just moved into Gowensville | Landrum | Travelers Rest area -and we are very remote on 6 acres on Glassy mountain. We are joining Rover, hoping to help us make new furry friends. Our clients had deep trust in us, and we never let anyone down. Each client became a consistent client, mainly because their dogs would get so excited to see us or come to our home. We had one client that used to text and ask if Penny could come to the spa! We work hard to understand your pup, their regular schedule and favorite things to do, so we can maintain as much consistency as possible for our new furry friend. My husband is an excellent trainer, he has taught many of our client's pups to walk nicely on a leash, to heal, whoa, lets go, and ready up! My husband used to show train and show our great pyrenees for many many years. We both regularly get down on the ground and have play time with our boarders. I love taking pics of the pups and sending them off to their parents, so they have visual peace of mind seeing how happy their furry family member is doing. We will provide a short report via text each day. When dogs come to stay, we keep them on what is their normal schedule. Each day has 2 play times, a nice 30 min walk, 1-1 attention in their bed room prior to bed filled with lots of love (I love giving head rubs and reading stories). We will feed | Medicines | Relief time as per your instruction. We are at our best with friendly, non aggressive dogs. For dog walking, I will go to your home or office pick-up your dog, then head out. I can walk your pup, and | or have play time with your pet in your yard. If your friend needs lots of exercise I am very happy to take your pup on a hike of the distance of your choice for a longer visit. We are active, but retired. We have lots of flexibility. Boarding can happen any day/night you can drop off and pick-up at a time that works for you. The more notice you provide, the better I can plan around your pup's needs. I generally hike 4-6 miles 4 days a week. So if your friend wants to join me they are welcome to...weather dependent. Our home is pet friendly, with lots of space and the opportunity to keep fury friends separate when needed. Each boarded dog will have their own bedroom, where they will also be fed privately (don't forget to bring your pup's food (provide feeding schedule), feed bowls, medicine (include directions), any toys, and feel free to bring their favorite bed). The dogs are also allowed on the bed in their room. We have a large basement gym area where we create play time when the weather isn't cooperating.
“Kharen was a great dog-sitter for our pup and provided pics throughout the day. Zilly came home happy and exhausted from playing all day. Kharen was also super flexible with us when we had some unexpected traffic that required extending pick up time. We really appreciated her and Zilly loved her! Thanks Kharen 😊”

“Lacie was absolutely wonderful to our Cockapoo, Biscuit. We did day care in her home and she has a house perfectly suited to having animals and a huge fenced yard. She clearly loves animals and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“This was our second visit in preparation of a two week stay and we wanted our dog to get used to Rebecca. She is so loving and kind--this time Haley licked her face, which is a sure sign of love. We are much more confident about our upcoming trip. Rebecca is great.”

“I needed a sitter last minute, and Julie accepted our sweet Luna with open arms. Excellent communication, I immediately felt confident Luna would be in caring and safe care, and Julie was super flexible. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: My name is Mac Graf and my husband and I live right outside Hendersonville, NC. I am a certified and licensed athletic trainer and am the Director of Sports Medicine as my full-time job. I work 90% of my job from home, and would love to help take the stress off your work day by allowing your fur family to hangout with me and my family for the day. I take my work seriously whether that be with my patients or with my fur friends. I fostered dogs throughout undergrad to give me more experience and make a change in an animal's life. I ended up adopting one of my foster dogs in 2020 and it was the best decision i've ever made! I rescued another dog in February of 2023, so I have lots of personal dog experience. I understand that having a dog is not just having a pet, but it is another family member. I treat them as such. With my experience as a foster, and being a pet owner myself - I know that I am responsible and loving towards all animals. I would love nothing more than to help take the stress off other dog owners, and help take care of them when needed. Since my job is 90% remote work, I have the flexibility to take my dogs on a walk or play outside in the fenced in area of our home multiple times a day. Throughout the work day they go outside multiple times - usually with a longer walk at the end of my work day. I ask the person I am dog sitting for what they want, and I always accommodate to whatever makes my client feel most comfortable with! We have two baby gates at home, so if we ever need to separate dogs in our home, we have the ability to do so. I always will be respectful of my clients and whatever their wishes are.
“Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: Hi! I've been taking care of dogs for my friends and family. In 2019, I adopted my rescued fur baby Bobby, and in 2020, I adopted my beautiful girl Bella. They have been the great addition to our family. I'm very reliable, responsible, loving and caring for your pet and love to give cuddles and kisses to your fur baby. I currently work from home different days where I can give care to your loved one and enjoy time together. I can have my two littles ones having play time together with yours. Whatever makes you more comfortable, I respect that, and will always give my best care and love to your loved one. I have a small deck where your little one can run around under my supervision and I live 1 block away from the park where we can go for walks and enjoy time outside.
“Lisa was great! Just what we needed. She is friendly, responsive, flexible, and most importantly.. wonderful to our dog. He was able to play, swim in her pool, take a walk, and lounge on her couch for some snuggle time. Lisa updated us each of the 4 days with a pic, short video or something they were doing. We would definitely use her again.”

“Tori was beyond accommodating! Our flight got delayed and she drove 35 mins at 10:30 at night to meet us to drop off Avery! Avery came home super tired, so I knew she had a good weekend with her dog ivy! She was sending me pictures during her whole stay and giving me updates! 10/10 recommend, and we would love to use her again in the future!”

“This is a great family and I’m starting to think my dog loves them more than she loves me. They’ve been flexible with my work schedule which has made a huge difference in my life and my pup’s. She always passes out snoring after spending the day over there. Happy puppy! Thank you so much!!!”

“Mallory walked our dogs everyday while we were away. The dogs warmed right up and were excited to get their walk. Mallory was dependable and always walked them for the agreed upon duration, or longer. We will definitely ask Mallory to walk our dogs the next time we’re away.”

About: Each animal is a new friend and I’m here to help their whole family! I’ve been pet/house sitting for friends and family for more than 8 years. I appreciate how each animal is a special individual and enjoy getting to know each one. My length of stays have ranged from 1 day - 2 months. If you choose me, I like to visit/meet prior to my sitting to make sure it's a good fit for all and help your fur baby get to know me with you present. No pressure if your schedule doesn't allow for it, it's not a requirement. Thanks! I work part-time on a flexible schedule week to week. Allowing myself to be open to bookings and then adjust my schedule around confirmed bookings. I’m respectful, detail oriented and adapatable. I adapt my caring service to meet the homeowners routine/needs. I want to minimize the disruption to the pet’s normal routine and keep a happy home for the pet & parent’s return.

“Jen met us later in the evening to meet us and our dogs around our busy schedule. Words fail to describe how amazing it is to have her come into our lives right now. She is great with our babies and makes sure they are treated like family. Thank you Jen!”

About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.
About: I have taken care of pets since the 3rd grade, when my family got our first dog (a golden retriever named Butterscotch). I have been told that I have a calm energy. I also have an attention to detail and a love of the outdoors. I am happy to go on long walks. I look forward to meeting your animals. At the moment, I have a standing commitment from 8am to 5pm Mondays and Tuesdays, but I am otherwise free to walk, feed, and take care of your animals. I have a fenced-in yard whose fence was partially crushed in the hurricane, so I would prefer housesitting or walking at or near your home (though I could board if needed).

About: My name is Emily and I recently just moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina. I was a full-time dog & cat sitter while in school at Texas State University in Austin, Texas. I also was a farm manager before I had my daughter. We moved to North Carolina for my husband's job & to be closed to family. I have experience with training dogs, caring for livestock, & more. I love animals & hope to have a farm of my own someday. I'm currently working part-time at the student farm! I'll have plenty of time to care for the pups and kitties. 😸🐕. We'll have fun, haha! What the owners wants / request always comes first, even if it's just backyard play. I treat all animals if they were my own. Haha.
About: From a young age, I put nature and the well-being of animals on my list of priorities. I went to school for wildlife rehabilitation and lived in Tanzania where I studied African flora and fauna for six months. Currently, I work as a vet tech where I handle and care for domestic animals throughout the day. To me, every animal is of equal importance and deserves the same amount of respect; regardless of how slimy, fuzzy, or scaley! I will love your pets as I love my own and give them the love and care that they need and want. You can always feel at ease knowing I’m caring for your pets. I am also a veterinarian assistant and have medical knowledge regarding a wide array of animal species. Thank you for your time and your consideration! Hope to hear from you soon.
About: I have been around dogs all my life. I have been through every stage of life with my dogs. From puppyhood to an unexpected pregnancy all the way through the final days. The time we spend with our dogs/pets is a blessing everyday so why not spoil them. I mostly work from home, my schedule as of right now is flexible. I do have a mobile massage business. I would be happy to fit in pet visits during my down times. I am comfortable giving medication and cleaning up accidents. I can go on longer walks or quick potty breaks. I don't even mind throwing the ball or frisby.
About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 5 years old. I have experience with various breeds and sizes. There’s not a dog I couldn’t love. I currently have two dogs whom I love very much and are always up for playing with other dogs if given the chance! I’ve been around cats my whole life but never had the opportunity to own one. I currently work at a vet and have lots of experience handling both canine and feline friends. I’m currently working full time but I’ve been making time to care for my canine and feline friends when their parents need. I’m usually open as long as it’s within my schedule/area. My yard is NOT fenced in. My girls know their boundaries. I do have a big yard with plenty of room to play and go potty. I am able to walk the dogs on leashes if needed. The same goes for my clients in their homes. I try to keep to a canine/felines schedule as much as possible.
About: In high-school, I took care of neighbors' and high school teachers' animals for 3 years. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, as well as own a 5 year old Mountain Cur who is reactive, so I do know how to handle dogs that do not like other dogs or have certain triggers on walks. I used to work for a vet office in Texas as a kennel technician so I also know the tricks to get dogs to take their medication, and know great ways to exercise your pet physically and mentally with training games. I am currently searching for a job in my gap year before law school, and so with my current schedule, I am available through the week and weekend at any time for your pet sitting needs. While I can stay overnight, I do have my own dog to look after and would like flexibility in leaving for a brief time to check on my dog and run errands. I will follow your needs of the pet and will treat them as if they are my own. I do not have dogs at my house for the safety of all pets since my dog is very dog selective with who she befriends, but I am more than happy to acommodate to you and your pet in your home.

“Megan did a great job with my puppy, Shiloh. Shiloh seemed to have a great time with Megan and her family. Megan sent daily photos, kept in good communication with me, and I felt good about leaving my pup with her. I’d use her again with no hesitation!”

“Michelle was very communicative and responded quickly. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She sent photos of the adventures and fun things my dog was doing with the family. Michelle was flexible with drop off and pick up. She even sent home some homemade treats. My anxious dog seemed very comfortable with her stay and I will definitely use Michelle again in the future!”

“Sharon was amazing to help us when we were in need of someone to board our dog. She took him in last minute, loved on him, and went above and beyond for our boy! We are so thankful for her attentiveness and care. We will be booking with Sharon again!”

“Laura was amazing!! I got so many pictures and she was so communicative. Her and Kyle really know what they’re doing. My dog loved them and their pups, too! Definitely will be using them again ❤️”

“Shireen is awesome. She helped me out in a pinch over a holiday. Benny loved playing with her dogs and had a great time. I would highly recommend her for sitting service.”

“Ben was a wonderful dog sitter! My dog is pretty shy around new people and he was very accommodating and made my dog feel safe and comfortable. Ben sent me cute pictures of my dog having a good time during the stay.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for several years, growing up we always had family dogs, and even now taking care of friends & families dogs while they are on vacation. My home has plenty of space as well as a nice sized backyard that they can run around and play in. My dog is always looking to make a friend and is very sweet towards people and other dogs. If you have specific instructions regarding care for your dog, I will make sure that they are cared for the way they are used to! I work full time as a waitress, and I am done most days by 2pm, so I have the rest of the day to take care of pups! I’m usually off Monday’s as well! I have a fenced in backyard, as well as a dog of my own to keep your dog company while I am at work! I have spare dog crates & bowls, unless you prefer to bring your own!
“Diane is absolutely wonderful! She took the best care of our big boy Cane. She communicates regularly with updates and puts your worrying mind at ease. She made Cane feel so comfortable as it was his first trip away from “Mom & Dad.” Her dog, June is sweet and played beautifully with Cane in the big fenced-in yard. I will definitely schedule Diane in the future for our pet-sitting needs and highly recommend her for yours.”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“David & April were incredible, chevy was having a very difficult trip and they did everything they could to make him feel at home and comfortable, and he didn't make it easy. 10/10 would rebook very thankful we chose you!!”

“Megan was awesome! She was able to meet somewhere convenient for me for drop-off and saved me a 45 minute drive out of my way. She was also extremely flexible on timing which was very helpful considering I’m not from the local area. Most importantly, Megan was so sweet with my pup and our dogs got along great! She sent lots of pictures throughout his stay with her and I knew he was in good hands! Thanks Megan!!”

“I would give 10 stars if that was possible! Bear was in heaven with Caitlin and her family. He went on long walks every morning, went to the river, road in the car and chased chickens! I was actually concerned that he would not want to come home to us :) I cannot recommend her enough- especially if you have a golden! We will be using her again.”

“Kaitlyn was so good with my baby boy and sent so many updates and photos throughout his stay! This was the longest time I have ever left him, and being able to see him happy and having fun was such peace of mind throughout my trip! Will most definitely book again with her - I’m so happy we found her(:”

“Jordan and her family were great! We’ll definitely try to use her services next time. Our trip was a last minute scheduling and she was very accommodating with the meet and greet. She was very responsive and graceful with a lot of last minute changes on our end.”
