“Our Louis is a 5-month old yorkiepoo, weighs 6 pounds, and has never stayed with anyone other than family. We were apprehensive about leaving him with non-family for 5 days while we cruised but did not have a choice. We searched Rover, chatted with a few people, found Nontombe and the end result is that we (and apparently Louis) completely adore Nontombe. Nontombe sent us videos and pictures and it was clear to see Louis was right at home with someone who loved on him and played with him. We were also worried about how Louis would get along with the other dogs being cared for but Nontombe outlined her plan to us to introduce Louis and what would happen if the dogs did not get along and the videos and pictures of Louis and the other dogs made us feel even more comfortable. It was also clear to us that Nontombe loves animals and is great with them. We recommend her for the care of your young and older fur babies and personally, we won’t use anyone else.”

With more advance notice, I can also move my shifts around to be more available for your pets. I have a fenced in backyard where dogs can run around! We have several dog gates in our possession as well if needed—they’ve been used in the past to separate more anxious dogs from my cat—and I am happy to crate your dogs according to your wishes or even aid in crate training. We have bowls of our own but would need dog food brought in. I am also familiar with grooming/brushing and could aid with that. I am very social and love to spend time with animals. About: I absolutely love dogs. I really believe that they are the closest animals to being human. I have taken care of dogs for my family members and neighbors for about 6 years now. Whenever someone needed a weekend getaway. My dream dog is a poodle but they are pretty pricey. I am hoping someday someone's willing to gift me one. People called them “high maintenance,” but they just knew what they want and how they wanted it and that was okay with me. It fits really well! I am always conscientious about the physical and emotional boundaries of animals. I am skilled at reading both dog and cat body language. I don’t push them if they’re giving signs to back off. I actively search for choking hazards, mitigate escape risks like open doors or loose harnesses, and frequently monitor safety on walks. I ensure that your home is always locked and that the yard/fencing is secure while dogs are outside. I provide regular updates and photos to keep you informed about your pet’s well-being.

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and began pet sitting for neighbors and family friends around the age of 10. I’ve had a dog of my own for about 6 years now who gets along very well with other dogs and cats. Happy to care for pets of any age and willing to administer medications or provide other special needs to pets if needed. I have a lot of free time in the next couple of months as I am waiting to start a job a few months from now. I will have plenty of time to drop in to check on pets, regular walks, and boarding! “Our Louis is a 5-month old yorkiepoo, weighs 6 pounds, and has never stayed with anyone other than family. We were apprehensive about leaving him with non-family for 5 days while we cruised but did not have a choice. We searched Rover, chatted with a few people, found Nontombe and the end result is that we (and apparently Louis) completely adore Nontombe. Nontombe sent us videos and pictures and it was clear to see Louis was right at home with someone who loved on him and played with him. We were also worried about how Louis would get along with the other dogs being cared for but Nontombe outlined her plan to us to introduce Louis and what would happen if the dogs did not get along and the videos and pictures of Louis and the other dogs made us feel even more comfortable. It was also clear to us that Nontombe loves animals and is great with them. We recommend her for the care of your young and older fur babies and personally, we won’t use anyone else.”
