“We felt very comfortable leaving our dog Harper with Christina and Matt when we were away for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. It was the first time Harper had ever stayed with anyone other than family and we weren’t sure how she would be in an unfamiliar place with another dog. It was obvious when we went for a meet and greet that Christina is a dog lover and Harper warmed up to her quickly. About: I have had dogs since I was a child. I adopted a Golden Retriever from the South before I married and then adopted another dog (Springer/Brittany mix) from the shelter once I was married. He was the best $25 I ever spent!! He was like my best friend! Then we rescued a German Short Haired Pointer- what a love ! Those boys were very active and required daily runs! I took care of them both until they passed away. When they left us, we rescued two English Setters from Turkey. They are hands down my absolute sweethearts. They are 10 and 12 now. We aren’t running the beach anymore, but we are very happy with long walks in the woods. They are so spoiled - sleep by the fire, sleep in bed with us, sleep in my car- it’s like their crate and they absolutely love to be in it. I also had a cat that I rescued who lived 8 years with us until he passed away and now I have a barn cat. I feed her nightly, but I’m positive I’ve been feeding an opossum for some time! We have met a couple of times- from a distance! I feed her, talk to her nicely and let her be. I have also taken care of my neighbor’s Irish Wolf Hound when my neighbor had long days of doctor appointments in Boston. I am excited to start taking care of cats and dogs for more people. I know what it’s like to need someone you can trust. My pets are like my children! I am obsessed with their well being. I want them to be happy, safe, well fed, exercised and loved all the time!!! I work 6 days a week usually only from 4:30pm-9:30pm, but once or twice a week I do work a split shift where I go in from 9:30-12:30, and then again at 4:30. I am always free Tuesdays. I’ve cared for energetic dogs who just want to get out and play, and calm dogs who just want a couch snuggle. Every pet is different in their care needs but I’ve given medications, baths, and cleaned up messes for all types of pets.

It was the first time Harper had ever stayed with anyone other than family and we weren’t sure how she would be in an unfamiliar place with another dog.
