About: I have had dogs since I was a child. I adopted a Golden Retriever from the South before I married and then adopted another dog (Springer/Brittany mix) from the shelter once I was married. He was the best $25 I ever spent!! He was like my best friend! Then we rescued a German Short Haired Pointer- what a love ! Those boys were very active and required daily runs! I took care of them both until they passed away. When they left us, we rescued two English Setters from Turkey. They are hands down my absolute sweethearts. They are 10 and 12 now. We aren’t running the beach anymore, but we are very happy with long walks in the woods. They are so spoiled - sleep by the fire, sleep in bed with us, sleep in my car- it’s like their crate and they absolutely love to be in it. I also had a cat that I rescued who lived 8 years with us until he passed away and now I have a barn cat. I feed her nightly, but I’m positive I’ve been feeding an opossum for some time! We have met a couple of times- from a distance! I feed her, talk to her nicely and let her be. I have also taken care of my neighbor’s Irish Wolf Hound when my neighbor had long days of doctor appointments in Boston. I am excited to start taking care of cats and dogs for more people. I know what it’s like to need someone you can trust. My pets are like my children! I am obsessed with their well being. I want them to be happy, safe, well fed, exercised and loved all the time!!! About: My family are puppy raisers for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, so I’ve had lots of experience with young dogs and basic training (not certified). I’ve house sat and taken care of pets for years and dealt with pets both old and young, and have even navigated vet visits with an old pup after a lightning storm anxiety attack. “Our dog, Bailey stayed with Ashley and John for 10 days. Bailey is 7 months old and I was worried how she would do away from us that long. She did great! They are very caring and responsible people who treat your pet like their own. Ashley sent me pictures/videos daily. They have a great fenced in yard for the dogs to run and play, they took her on walks as well and they have a gentle dog of their own who was a good companion. There were a couple other dogs that came during Bailey's stay and you could tell they were gentle pets too. She loved playing with them which I could tell by the pictures and videos sent. I plan to board Bailey with them in the future, they were great!”
