It was the first time Harper had ever stayed with anyone other than family and we weren’t sure how she would be in an unfamiliar place with another dog. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. About: I have had dogs since I was a child. I adopted a Golden Retriever from the South before I married and then adopted another dog (Springer/Brittany mix) from the shelter once I was married. He was the best $25 I ever spent!! He was like my best friend! Then we rescued a German Short Haired Pointer- what a love ! Those boys were very active and required daily runs! I took care of them both until they passed away. When they left us, we rescued two English Setters from Turkey. They are hands down my absolute sweethearts. They are 10 and 12 now. We aren’t running the beach anymore, but we are very happy with long walks in the woods. They are so spoiled - sleep by the fire, sleep in bed with us, sleep in my car- it’s like their crate and they absolutely love to be in it. I also had a cat that I rescued who lived 8 years with us until he passed away and now I have a barn cat. I feed her nightly, but I’m positive I’ve been feeding an opossum for some time! We have met a couple of times- from a distance! I feed her, talk to her nicely and let her be. I have also taken care of my neighbor’s Irish Wolf Hound when my neighbor had long days of doctor appointments in Boston. I am excited to start taking care of cats and dogs for more people. I know what it’s like to need someone you can trust. My pets are like my children! I am obsessed with their well being. I want them to be happy, safe, well fed, exercised and loved all the time!!! As a heads up, my pricing per night for pet/house sitting covers two pets ($86/night 2 pets & house sitting) if you have more than two pets, you can add them via the add on option here on rover for an additional $15/night per pet. I currently work a per diem position and run my own business, which gives me the flexibility to adjust my schedule around your pet’s needs. Whether you need early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or overnight care, I’m happy to work with your routine and create a plan that works best for you and your furry family. About: I’ve been caring for and walking dogs in my neighborhood for many years and have always loved being around animals. I’ve had two dogs of my own over the years, so I understand how important it is to give pets plenty of attention, care, and love. Dogs are definitely my favorite animals, and I truly enjoy spending time with furry friends! I’m currently working part time as a server. I am available all day sunday and mondays and all mornings and most nights. I’m very flexible! I have a very nice neighborhood and a friendly dog who loves other puppies. and a very friendly kitty that stays out of the way when needed.
