I have a very flexible work schedule that allows me to devote a lot of attention toward your babies. I have a very flexible job and am often working from home so I have a lot of availability to adjust to your babies’ schedules. I have a large space in my home and am close to a nearby park to let the fur babies run around. My mornings start with a good morning treat, and then a long walk through the neighborhood. We follow it up with a post-walk lil dental treat and breakfast. I usually take my girls out three times a day and am happy to take your fur babies with us. After breakfast we usually play a little before they all tucker out and I get started on some work in the living room. I am the proud parent of a 3-year old labradoodle named Yoffi and he has a typical feeding, walk, play, and sleep routine. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: Retired military medic used to have and to help friends and battle buddies when their animals had to go when they had to go overseas or on TDY work trips and things like that also help friends and things too. I am very by the book so if you leave me a list of rules and what needs to happen I'll make sure it gets done. I have a very open schedule. I work from home so if you need me at any point in time I can make it fit within my schedule. For the safety of your pets and things, I usually like to do a quick visit to make sure that we're going to get along. I know if it is a cat that a lot of times trust needs to be earned with them and that you can't just pull them out from wherever they're hiding a lot of times it's earning their trust for them to be come out and be friendly. You do not force it on them.

She took the time to answer all my questions and provided updates while I was away, which I really appreciated. Her huge fenced yard is perfect for dogs to run around and play safely, and I could tell my dog absolutely loved the space. Shawn clearly cares deeply for the pets she looks after, and it shows in the way she manages everything so thoughtfully. “Cherylee and Steven went above and beyond for my dog Clover and I while I was away. Being a travel nurse and first time Rover user, I was super nervous about the whole process, but they were so welcoming and accommodating to all of my pups need. Cherylee even went as far as to rescue us when my car broke down on the way to our meet and greet! I have an older pup with a lot of dietary and medication needs. They had absolutely no problem keeping his schedule and made sure to send me pictures and videos daily.
