“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. I really appreciated her communication throughout the visit, and I could tell from her updates that she was really taking time to get to know our dog, and that he was in the best possible hands. But the amazing pictures that somehow look professionally taken that she would send me and the updates of how he was doing, made me feel he was in great hands. He always looked happy and content and that's all I can ask for. She was so sweet and I can tell from the first meet. She truly made Toby feel at home, even allowed him to sleep with her in bed. Toby also made to new BFF. He was so taken by her 2 kids and they were so sweet with him. Let just say Toby couldn't get enough of all the loving. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I have two dogs of my own that I’ve had since puppy-hood. Ever since I was a kid, my heart would joyously melt in front of any and every four legged friend. I love getting to know other animals, and take care of them as if they were my own. I got my start pet sitting by looking after my friends and neighbors’ dogs and cats on occasion. At present, my longest cat sitting gig was 3 weeks straight in which I stayed with my fur friend for ~6-8 hours a day just to keep her company. I work remotely, so my workstation is mobile. In this was I can make most pet-sitting tasks and hours work— while assuring your pets have company, enrichment, and supervision. (As an aside, I go by both Vera and Amanda and use them interchangably) I work remotely 10am-6pm monday-friday. Ideally, i prefer to visit pets and take care of them anytime before 10am, but my calendar is very flexible. My workstation is mobile, so if desired, I can keep your pet company for extended periods of time during the day. I’m also available all day on the weeknds. I have 2 dogs that I love dearly and walk 2-3 times every single day at routine times. I brush them frequently, I strap on little booties for their paws daily to protect them from the hot pavement, and I play with them to their little hearts content.

I work in ministry and have a flexible schedule. I'm not free all the time, but can be really flexible depending on the season! Always down to have a conversation to iron out details! I have only cared for pets in other people's homes. I follow whatever guidelines, instructions, or rules that pet owners give me. I want to make sure their pets are on their regular schedules and are loved!

About: I understand the importance of trust and punctuality when leaving your pet in the care of others. I am committed to caring for your animals well, and communicating with you regularly. I have a large partially fenced yard with a dog run. My home is five minutes from the train station and has a large walkable park for the dogs to walk at. We have a lab/greyhound mix that loves making friends and two cats that can be cordoned off to their own space if needed. They are all very mild mannered and friendly with up to date immunizations and regular flea and heart worm medication. Ive been watching dogs in our home for since 2015 and walking them for longer. I do not take more than one family's animals at a time. My two daughters love to play with and spoil the animals. We do allow them on the couch but not on our bed. I have some experience caring for elderly or special needs dogs and will consider them on a case by case basis. I love the opportunity to meet and care for new animals while also supporting the people in my community. I work hybrid and have good flexibility to come home or work from home in order to care for our animals or take them for walks. Someone is home 80% of the time during the week. When we let animals out in our yard, they are chained on a lead while we stand out with them. During walks we make sure that animals do not get close to other people's animals. I understand the unpredictability that can come when mixing animals and I am sure to safeguard any animals in my care. We also ensure that we keep our home extra tidy during visits to prevent accidental ingestion of unwanted items.

I’ve had pets in my life since I was a little kid and wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve raised puppies and kittens and all manner of small critters in the past, including high energy breeds and as pit-bulls. Because safety and comfort are my top priorities, I highly encourage a short meet and greet before accepting any stays. I currently work on call and choose my own hours, so I can easily work around bookings to ensure your pets have my full attention when in my care I live In a large 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of extra space. I also live next to the pleasant valley parkway, which is a beautiful grassy area running along a small canal and is perfect for walks.

“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute.
