I had no responsibilities so why not right? 3 months before the trip (November 4th 2023) I went to an adoption event and came home with a very scared Texas pup. Sharon took him several times before our trip so that he could get to know her. He is not easy to say the least. She was great with him. While we were away she sent me daily messages and pictures. She kept reassuring me that he was doing great and telling me to enjoy myself when I would tell her I couldn’t wait to get home to him. When we returned to get him he wanted to stay with her. Finn got along really well with her two dogs and was always excited to go to Margo's house when I dropped him off in the morning. She sent pictures and updates of them going on walks together, playing in the yard with her dogs, and working on some of his training. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. Sue took the time to get her acclimated with the new environment and allowed me into her home to give Sadie time to adjust and get comfortable. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. I enjoy helping families with their fur babies as I settle into being a stay at home mom! Depending on the baby’s schedule, sometimes my husband does the visits for me or we all go together with the baby in a carrier— let me know in advance if you have any issues. I have grown up alongside animals my entire life, and I know how to recognize behavioral signs before the reactions occur. I have experience with all ages and breeds of dogs, cats, barnyard friends, and exotic reptiles/birds/mammals etc... I am very seasoned in the patience department, and I love making fun puzzles with treats or toys. About: I've had at least one dog in my house since I was in first grade. My first dog is no longer with us however, I currently have a 9-year-old black lab and a 7-month-old silver lab. My dogs love to go on hiking trails, and with your permission, I can also take your dog to new locations. I unfortunately don't have experience with other people's dogs except for friends and family. “I brought my beloved Pomeranian Samara to Zoe this week. She spent two nights and when I picked her up she was happy and very tired from all her playing with another little dog. Zoe has a fenced back yard and Samara was free to run unleashed and enjoying zoomies. Zoe kept me updated with photos throughout the stay. I felt so grateful for Zoe's outstanding and kind care. I will definitely trust her again.”
