“Jenna is an absolute angel! I could write a book about how magical she is but for now, I'll give you some of the highlights. She is sweet and soft spoken which was a blessing when she stayed in my home to take care of our 2 kitties, Squeaky and Jingles. Squeaky is pretty socialable but Jingles hides when she hears a different voice in the house. She scares very easily and is afraid, so when Jenna started sending me photos and videos, I was in awe! Jingles was hanging out with Jenna, rubbing up against her legs and purring. Jingles came out of hiding and had already decided that Jenna was special. She truly is an animal lover and she took care of their every need and then some! It was amazing how I could relax and not worry about my furbabies in her care. My apartment is definitely animal friendly, with only on carpeted room. I will always notify the owner or any health issue, and with coordinate with the owner emergency protocols. Outside, there is a waterfront your pet can visit for walks, large yards that the pet can explore, and even an enclosed area where your pet can be unleashed so they can get a chance to roam free if ever necessary. As far as individual animal routines for food and walks are concerned, I would only take on a job if I was able to provide the animal with its precise schedule. About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for 8 years! I have sat for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and more! I am always up for the task when it comes to animals! From longs walks to outdoor play or if your dog likes going on adventures the car I am your girl. As well as having two days off on Sunday and Tuesday, as well as working brunch on Saturdays I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! Open to overnights, pop in's or just walks! Making sure pets get the most attention possible is a priority to me. Snuggles and toys is the most important part, If your pet is comfortable. I am only available to stay in clients homes.
About: I currently work at the Newport Navy Base at All Paws On Deck doggie day care. I have been there for about a year and am currently one of the lead staff members there taking care of the dogs. I have learned so much on dog behavior and safety. Since working there it has ignited an interest to become a dog trainer. The joy that dogs bring to my life has been so rewarding and I love every minute of my job and being with all my furry friends. I have grown up with always having a dog in my life and had parents that instilled responsibility that came along with it. I have been very lucky to have had grown up with amazing dogs. I have rescued 2 beautiful greyhounds that were former racers in Florida. This particular breed is my passion due to the challenges it gives to teach them how to transition from the track to home life. This breed typically has never been inside a home and needs to be taught everything! Stairs, Windows, glass sliding doors, furniture, a yard, trust, and having her own toys and bed. This has taught me so much on how to relate to the dog and learn how they see life. My life currently when im not working is spending time with my family and enjoying the "island life" in Portsmouth. It is my husband and I along with our two boys and Anita (my greyhound). I work part time at the doggie day care. My availability time is flexible. I work half days so im available in the morning or afternoon depending on the day. I will respect the clients home and their pets boundaries and needs. I see it as entering their safe space and would not want them to feel that I am there to change that or threaten that.

About: I grew up taking care of dogs, cats, horses and more. I have had my own family dogs over the years, Trooper for 16 years and Rusty for 14 years. I have cared for friend's dogs, big and small, and my grand dogs for a day or even 1 month. I have experience with older dogs as well as puppies. I will do my best to maintain their schedules as well as training and discipline. I will treat them as my own with lots of love and affection, knowing they may miss their parents. I work from home so fitting pet care into my schedule is not an issue. I walked my own dogs every morning in the neighborhood or to the beach. Our family can easily adapt to various activity levels, personalities, and daily routines.
