“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats. We do tend to spoil them. I have lots of room for them to run and play in our fenced in yard. We walk them on a leash through our nearby cemetery. About: I have been around animals my whole life and truly think of them as family! I got my first dog at 5 years old and it was my job to take care of him everyday, give him baths,etc. I started watching other peoples animals when I was 14. I have done stop by walks/potty breaks since the very beginning and overnight stays since I was 18. I have experience with insulin shots, and other forms of medications. Pets are family members too, and they should be well taken care of! While you are away they will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! I have a full time job working as a realtor, so your furry best friend will have a constant companion staying with them! I work mainly off my laptop unless I have showings set up, so your best friend will get all the cuddles, and love they can possibly get! While I personally do not offer in house boarding- I do have people I can refer you to who are absolutely wonderful, and who my parents trust their fur babies with! . Ask me for their info! I work full time as a real estate agent, so most of my time in doing work from my laptop! There are occasional showings and meetings that I will attend, but they are not long- few hours at the max. Because of my flexible schedule I can make your fur babies feel loved and comfortable while you are gone! I do not currently accept home services in my own home. We have a cat who does not do well with other animals as she gets scared very easily. So, at this time, no home boarding will be offered. This will be updated if anything changes.

About: My Experience My experience caring for dogs goes back well before I started doing this full time. In high school, I walked dogs for people in my community to earn extra money, so getting paid to grab a leash and spend time with dogs is actually something I’ve come back to years later. Since then, I’ve continued gaining hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels through years of owning and caring for dogs myself. I’m comfortable with everything from a dog that wants to stop and investigate every mailbox to a large, energetic dog that genuinely needs to put some miles in. I also leave enough time between scheduled clients so your dog’s visit doesn’t feel rushed. Consistency is important to me, and regular walks give me the opportunity to learn your dog’s personality, routine, favorite places, preferred pace, and individual needs. Whether it’s 2 PM or 2 AM, a beautiful sunny afternoon or a snowy morning, my goal is to be someone you can depend on—and someone your dog gets excited to see because they know it’s time to go explore. Safety, Trust & Environment: Your dog’s safety will always come first, but I also believe dogs deserve to experience the world outside. Rain, snow, or shine—hot or cold—I’m prepared to get them outside and moving. I’ll always adjust our pace, distance, and route to your dog and the conditions rather than automatically canceling a walk because the weather isn’t perfect. Throughout every walk, I pay close attention to your dog’s body language, breathing, energy level, paws, traffic, other animals, and our surroundings. On hot days, that means watching pavement temperatures, prioritizing shade and water, and recognizing signs of overheating. In cold or snowy conditions, I’ll monitor their paws and comfort and follow any instructions you have for coats, boots, or other gear. Weather won’t scare me away, but unsafe conditions will change the plan. Extreme heat, severe storms, dangerous ice, or conditions that could put your dog at risk may mean a shorter outdoor walk with the remaining time devoted to safe indoor attention and stimulation. Trust matters just as much. You’re trusting me with a member of your family and, in many cases, access to your home. I’ll respect your property, follow your instructions, communicate with you, and make sure your dog is safe and secure before I leave. I also want dogs to have the opportunity to be dogs. I’ll give them time to sniff, explore, investigate their surroundings, and experience what’s happening around them instead of treating every walk like a race. Every dog is different, and I’ll learn yours. Rain, snow, or shine. Hot or cold. My goal is to become someone you trust—and someone your dog gets excited to see walking through the door.

About: I have always had some kind of pet growing up and love them! My grandfather had cows, chickens, pigs and dogs on his farm and I would jump at any opportunity to go see them! I currently have a cat that is 9 weeks old that is very friendly and loves to play! Before having my current cat I had a yorkie that I loved but passed of old age. About: I have been around animals my whole life and truly think of them as family! I got my first dog at 5 years old and it was my job to take care of him everyday, give him baths,etc. I started watching other peoples animals when I was 14. I have done stop by walks/potty breaks since the very beginning and overnight stays since I was 18. I have experience with insulin shots, and other forms of medications. Pets are family members too, and they should be well taken care of! While you are away they will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! I have a full time job working as a realtor, so your furry best friend will have a constant companion staying with them! I work mainly off my laptop unless I have showings set up, so your best friend will get all the cuddles, and love they can possibly get! While I personally do not offer in house boarding- I do have people I can refer you to who are absolutely wonderful, and who my parents trust their fur babies with! . Ask me for their info! I work full time as a real estate agent, so most of my time in doing work from my laptop! There are occasional showings and meetings that I will attend, but they are not long- few hours at the max. Because of my flexible schedule I can make your fur babies feel loved and comfortable while you are gone! I do not currently accept home services in my own home. We have a cat who does not do well with other animals as she gets scared very easily. So, at this time, no home boarding will be offered. This will be updated if anything changes.

About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet(s)! I love being and walking outside and having an animal companion to join me is always a pleasure. We have a large back porch and yard for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!
About: I am a Psychology and Social Work student in my masters and I love animals. I specialize in animals who are seniors, or have special needs. Specifically, animals that require gentle care and a calm demeanor. I have 2 cats, fish, and an aquatic turtle. I have and cared for pit bulls, boxers, labs, Jack Russells, and a mini pincher. We have a guest house where I will board your pet, so no need to worry about any interaction with my current pets. I can take crate trained dogs anytime during the week but could only provide potty breaks every 6-8 hours. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer. As a 15 year high school teacher, I am very trustworthy, authentic, and kind. I admit to being a bit of a “crazy animal person” as I try to pet every animal I see! I can be trusted with your animal for an extended time or just an afternoon walk! I can also board hamsters or horses.

(Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) As of September 2026 we do have a newborn. I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I can work from home most days which allows a very flexible schedule. I am willing to accommodate for what ever needs are present and will make sure your pet is well taken care of. About: Having the background of being raised on a farm has given me an innate love for animals. I have become a go to person for my friends and family in the city with not only dogs, but farm animals as well (cows, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc.). I have experience with injured and ill animals as well in care taking. I am able to follow dietary restrictions and diets in general as well. Pets, cuddles and walks are no problem of course! :) I currently work from home (Thurmont, M-F 8-5) so I am very flexible with me being in home for either a whole work day, half day or drop ins (if close by). I cannot board in home. I am able to follow the direction of your pets care. Food schedules/diets, crating, walks etc. I keep every pets area clean and tidy so they feel as comfortable as possible. I simply ask for communication ahead of time in expecations.

“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

About: I have had dogs all my life but love all animals. I am a mom of 3 girls, 1 dog and 3 chickens. Please let me know of any special requests your pet might need for there stay. I will do my best to make there stay as comfortable as possible so they will love their home away from home. I am a stay at home mom so I can be home with your pup, take them to the park or do pick up and drop offs. My schedule is very flexible. I have a fenced in yard that’ll and your pet will never be unattended. There is plenty of room for even the largest dog to run and play.
