“Huck had such a great time! Communication was great and we loved the picture updates. Definitely felt at ease having our boy with Sarah. Already looking at our calendar for his next stay with her!”

“My pup Topaz had the best time with Ellen. Ellen took time with Topaz and made it fun for her. Since Topaz is a senior dog, she is very sensitive to her environment, and she fit in with the other dogs as well. I will be bringing her back on a regular basis now!”

“Tyson was well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week. Renee sent me photos everyday showing how spoiled he was getting! He had an amazing time and was exhausted after I picked him up. Thank you!”

“Diana did amazing at making our little Dixie feel at home and relaxed! Caring for a puppy is no small feat and she took on the challenge with lots of love and care. We'll be using her again!”

“Second time booking with Charlie, first time boarding. It was a smooth and stress-free experience. My dog seemed very happy playing with the other pups. You know your pup is always in good hands with Charlie.”

“Christina is amazing! From start to finish, she went above and beyond caring for Boss and Chipper. She was wonderful with communication, sending regular updates and photos that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She even stepped in to help at the last minute, which was such a relief. I could tell she genuinely loves dogs—both Boss and Chipper were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for the entire time. I felt so relieved knowing they were in such capable hands. I can’t recommend Christina highly enough and will definitely be booking her again!”

“We booked her at the last minute and she was very flexible and helpful! She and her family took really good care of our pup. We loved the photos that she sent us of our dog playing.”

About: I grew up with cats, dogs and horses, and have been taking care of them since I was 10 years old. I have my own lab mix and a cat. I make sure that the animals I watch are well cared for, safe, fed, entertained, and exercised. I love all animals and really enjoy working with them. I am available anytime to watch pets in my home. I do work some evenings for up to 4 hours and weekends for up to 6 hours. At my home I have one dog and a cat that will be able to keep your pet company. My pets get along very well with other animals. I have a yard, a large field across the street, and a dog park near by I can take dogs to if allowed.
“Emily is incredible! My dogs stayed with her for a full week and came home well cared for, loved, and happy. They exercised every day in a safe, wide-open yard, and she really went above and beyond when they refused to eat at first, giving them soft food and diligently encouraging them to make sure they were comfortable. I cannot thank you enough, Emily!!”

“Lejune is a godsend. She accepted me as a new customer on short notice. Kept in touch with me over the time she kept my 6month old Poodle. She followed the instructions I left regarding feeding and potty schedules. She sent many pictures showing how the stay was going. My pup was very happy and healthy when I picked him up. 10/10 would recommend !”

“Kelsie is great! Welcomed my dog into her home and treated her like family. Communication was quick and easy and she was more than willing to give me updates/pics. I will 100% use her again :)”

“Our 1.5yr old puppy, Birdie, was in the very best hands with Melissa during a recent boarding! Melissa is thorough in her intake, noting Birdie's food allergies and current schedule, and is warm and gentle in helping pups acclimate to a new environment. Melissa maintained Birdie's schedule, giving her plenty of outdoor and play time, and administered Birdie's medication, giving us peace of mind to focus on family. We enjoyed the handful of photos Melissa sent along the way and always appreciate her responsive communication. Melissa is deeply professional and the most thorough and warm caretaker and our expectations are always surpassed when Birdie is with Melissa!”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“Heather and her family immediately put me at ease. I knew Brady would be in great hands! She sent the sweetest pictures of Brady. He was happy and healthy when I picked him up. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!”

“Donna and Scott are simply the best! They spoiled our Lexi girl and treated her like their own. Donna kept me updated with so many great pics of Lexi and what she was doing. I will not”

About: I have been providing consistent cat care for my Tabby Cat for 10 years! I understand that cats have an even wider range of moods and unique personalities than their canine counterparts. Their behavior can be a little trickier to read, but this doesn't stop me from providing felines with optimal care. In fact, understanding that cats and their needs can be different from dogs has taught me the importance of evaluating cat behavior and adjusting my caregiving approach accordingly.

“Caitlyn was amazing! She was friendly, prompt, and communicative. Our fur babies fell in love with her and looked forward to her daily visits. She administered insulin to our diabetic kitty with ease and made sure to send us daily photos with updates. She and her partner will absolutely be our go-to pet sitters!”

“Ally did such a great job taking care of our cat. She shared so many pics and videos of Kismet, so we knew she was always in great hands. We will definitely book her again in the future!”

“Tammi is lovely she took great care of Callie during her visits, filled out the report card and left purposefully feedback and photos too! 10/10. I would not hesitate to rebook when needed. Thanks again Tammi for all your care and being you!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments since I was around 12 years old. Working in a school setting has also strengthened my patience, responsibility, and ability to handle different personalities, skills I bring into caring for every pet. I work for CASD, so my schedule is very consistent during the school year, with availability after 3:45 PM on weekdays and open weekends. During the summer, I have full availability, which means I can provide more flexible scheduling, extended stays, and extra attention for your pets throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always supervise interactions and can separate pets if needed. I’m comfortable with crating if that’s part of your pet’s routine, and I’ll follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions closely to keep everything consistent and stress-free.

“Amber did a wonderful job with our pets. The cats especially seemed to warm up to her within a day when they normally take several days to warm up to someone. Her communication was great throughout and she left our house spotless. We would definitely have Amber stay with our pets again.”

I will definitely book with her again! Thanks Abbie! :)”

“My dog loves to stay at Danny's house. This has been such a help since my doggy day care closed. Keeps me informed and sends pictures. I'd recommend him as an excellent care giver.”

About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am available for early morning or evening walks and drop-ins during the week. I am available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless I have a family or social event. However, I am always open to working around my schedule and offering as much flexibility as I can - just shoot me a message! We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!
“Cheryl made me feel at ease about leaving my very anxious baby. Her system to introducing the dogs really put my mind at ease, and she sent me pictures while we were out to let me know my pup was okay. I would recommend her. Thank you Cheryl!”

“Dulce loves Lejune!!!! I know she is in good hands and always has fun! I always appreciate how communicative and prompt she is. Has been awesome when I’ve been late at work or have had an event/ meeting to go to. Will absolutely book again when we return. Highly recommend! (Dulce will really miss her!)”

“I was nervous because I've never used this app or left my dog with anyone. Charlie made me feel super comfortable. He showed me the space, showed that he had read her profile, and took such good care of her. She had ample space and friends to run and play with, but Charlie also gave her cuddles when she started to get anxious, which I truly appreciate.”

“We have an older dog who has anxiety being left alone so I’ve been looking for a doggy day care type of care for her when I can’t be home. The Rover app was recommended to us and we found Diana online who was highly rated. Wonderful experience and will book again. Thank you.”

We would recommend Jesse for any dog sitting needs!”

About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure
“Sam was great! Greeted us on arrival and Arthur immediately bonded with her. Sent us photos during the day and he had a relaxing day. We would definitely have her watch Arthur if we were in the Gettysburg area again. Thanks Sam!!”

“Christa is wonderful! Kind and caring, her home is so warm and welcoming. Our dog Schatzi is older and needs some special care which Christa provides, she really goes above and beyond to make your pet comfortable. And also thank you for being available for a very last minute booking, very much appreciated ❤️”

“Rosa did an excellent job taking care of my boy, she took him outside on plenty of walks, fed him the exact right amount, and sent me pictures throughout the day! I would highly recommend her to anybody who needs care for their pet.”

“First off, Nadia is the sweetest! She is very knowledgeable about dogs and by speaking with her you learn she has our dog’s best interest at heart. We wanted daycare on days we both worked overnight and Nadia is very flexible. This was Daisy first ever day/time away from us and we woke up to so many updates and pictures….not sure how we got so lucky.”

“Ashley was incredible with my dog and super flexible. We unfortunately dealt with flight delays/cancelations and it was a relief knowing someone was there and willing to not only adapt to changes but genuinely cared about our dogs wellbeing. About: I have been caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for many years. I have raised my own dog from early puppyhood to mature adulthood and her social but controlled behavior and level of training quickly caught the eye of other dog owners with young dogs. I had spent years researching dog and cat behavior, dog training, and everything related to dog breed history and care. This knowledge, along with my passion for animals, allowed me to offer services like dog training, walking, sitting, and drop-in visits with confidence and excitement even as a young teenager. This confidence and excitement along with my knowledge has only grown since then. I have experience with large breeds like Dobermans and Great Danes as well as smaller breeds like Cavaliers. Energetic breeds like Labradors and high-drive breeds like Coonhounds. When I provide you my services, its not just taking care of you and your pet(s) needs, its a reassuring peace of mind. It's a genuine relationship built on trust. Its a pleasant interaction between you and I and a lavish experience for your pet. It's knowing that I am not only making your pet's day but he/she is making mine as well. That's the difference between simply getting a job done and ensuring the care that's provided is at the next level. The level I'd want for my own sweet pets. I am currently in a season of life that allows me to be flexible and able to go the extra mile in providing the best service around! I just graduated high school and am taking a gap year. Even though I am working another job as well, now is a good opportunity to get involved in caring for your pet's various needs. I am a quick learner and am able to follow your instructions for how you prefer your pet to be cared for in your home. I can crate a dog if needed. I am able to fill your 30 minute time slot for drop-in visits with cuddles, playtime indoor and outdoor (whichever is preferred) and I understand that exercising your dog mentally is just as important as physically so I enjoy incorporating mentally stimulating factors into my visits. Training, finding treats, playing games etc.
About: When not traveling on business trips, I work from my home office, so your dog will receive 24/7 care! I’ve had dogs my entire life and my first job as a tween was pet sitting for neighbors. My current rescue dogs are Jake; a senior Coonhound mix adopted in Tennessee and Kiba, an adult Husky-Great Pyrenees mix adopted locally and is a recovering escape artist. As a former paramedic, I have the skills to administer medications and medical care, as well as to deal with any emergencies. My large backyard is fenced and has a six-foot privacy screen! Our dogs have known that I treat them well, but that I am no “pushover”. In our house, I’m the “General”! I only give a command one time. When Jake or Kiba see the stern look and folded arms, they know to obey the command. I’ve also had a cat, fish, frogs, a turtle, a rabbit, Guinea pigs and even chameleons! I love all animals and would love spending time with yours. I work from home when not traveling on business (usually one week per month), so I am available 24/7 to care for your pet’s needs. Because of the flexibility of my work schedule, mainly working from home, I am available to work with your schedule and give your pet the attention he/she deserves!
“Amanda showed up 5 minutes early which I really appreciated. She was personal yet professional. Zoey can be a challenge to walk because of her puppiness, but she came back exercised and ready to nap. I would definitely recommend Amanda!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years, starting in middle school and continuing through college and grad school. I have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and sizes—including dogs with health issues who require medication, special routines, or extra attention. What sets me apart is my lifelong connection to animals. I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide consistent care for your pets while you're away or at work. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests—I’d love to help! I take safety and trust seriously and always aim to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, or playtime preferences—and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and every home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. You can feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.

Pets, cuddles and walks are no problem of course! :) I currently work from home (Thurmont, M-F 8-5) so I am very flexible with me being in home for either a whole work day, half day or drop ins (if close by). I cannot board in home. I am able to follow the direction of your pets care. Food schedules/diets, crating, walks etc. I keep every pets area clean and tidy so they feel as comfortable as possible. I simply ask for communication ahead of time in expecations.

“Kaylee was very responsive to my messages and very accommodating of my request to schedule a meet and greet on short notice ahead of our booking. She interacted sweetly and patiently with my very excited pup. She showed up on time for the booking and followed all instructions given. I hope to be able to call on her for help again in the future!”

“Heather and her family immediately put me at ease. I knew Brady would be in great hands! She sent the sweetest pictures of Brady. He was happy and healthy when I picked him up. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!”

“Annette is the best! I actually hesitate to leave a review because I don't want all of her spaces to fill up! Your dog will be welcomed into the fold and Annette will ask you about - and then pay attention to - their needs. She has been fostering for so long, she has literally seen everything – and can deal with everything. Teddy had a great time, and I left with new insights into her behaviors. Annette is a gem.”

“Lulu Belle absolutely adores Sandra and all of her children. Sandra takes exceptional care of her each and every time we've used her services over the last 4 years.”

I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day.
