“Five stars is not enough for Benjamin! He, and his beautiful family (of humans and dogs) went over and above to take care of our golden retriever, Soda. When we went for our meet and greet we didn’t want to leave. Their fenced in yard and the welcoming kind vibe made Soda and me (her human) feel instantly comfortable and at ease. Benjamin sent photos and videos of her girl having the time of her life while we were away almost 2 weeks. And he managed to get her in the car to go back and forth which is no small task since Soda is terrified of the car. All of this incredible kindness and professionalism took place under extraordinary circumstances since their family was going through major things at the time. We are so grateful to have found him and will definitely be grateful to be able to work with them again. “Joanna is the BEST of what Rover has to offer. Our 10 month old Goldendoodle Benny was cared for by her as if he was her own. We were out of the country for 6 days and the stress of having to leave him at a boarding facility was just too much. So I turned to Rover and after a few misses, found Joanna. On paper she sounded perfect. Before we actually booked anything we met up at a park near her house and she brought her little dude Henry. We spent about 30 minutes together and talked, watched the dogs play, and by the end of it I knew she was exactly what we were looking for in a 'dog sitter'. About: Ive had been taken care of my past dogs and current dog for almost my entire life. I also take full care of my cat. I work with cats twice a week at a rescue shelter, and I did a short period working a doggy daycare facility. I can work full time during week, during the afternoons. I will be working at my job in the morning but will be fully free in the afternoons. Weekends may vary depending when I get a request. I make sure the pet gets enough play time outside, by either walking or playing with the pet. Make sure that the environment isn’t too loud or overstimulating, especially if there is more than one animal in the house.

About: I grew up with dogs. When I was 18 I co-adopted two pitbulls who lived out their lives with me. After college, I volunteered for Monster Milers taking shelter dogs from Street Tails Animal Rescue out for runs to help them burn energy and become more adoptable. My wife and I have adopted three times. A fawn pug who lived until 9 years old, a black pug who lived until 17 years old, and a Alaskan Malamute/Husky/Amstaff mix (107lbs) that lived until he was 13 and we recently lost. I'm good with all furry friends big and small and adjust my approach based on the dogs energy. I currently have a ton of flexibility outside of my kids to help with your pups, but generally, I'm home a lot and very active so lots of room to get your pup out for long walks and exercise/stimulation. I do not have a fenced in yard, and always keep my dogs on leashes until they were absolutely ready to listen solely to my commands. I use a gentle leader that helps minimize impact on their throat and also is very effective with pulling, but can be flexible to your sitch.

In weekends we take dogs to fully fenced dog parks for 30~60min. Schedules are adjustable as needed. I'm currently stay at home 24/7. We wake up 6:00am for the first walk, and a short walk every 3~5 hours. My working station is in the family room right next to dogs, so I can take care of the dogs quickly if anything happened. I walk the backyard every day to ensure there is no debris that can cause harm to the dogs. Also the yard is kept leveled so that there are no accidents when running. To make sure everyone is well hydrated, fresh clean water is accessible to the dogs every day at all times, inside of the house and in the backyard.

Benjamin sent photos and videos of her girl having the time of her life while we were away almost 2 weeks. And he managed to get her in the car to go back and forth which is no small task since Soda is terrified of the car. “Joanna is the BEST of what Rover has to offer. Our 10 month old Goldendoodle Benny was cared for by her as if he was her own. We were out of the country for 6 days and the stress of having to leave him at a boarding facility was just too much. So I turned to Rover and after a few misses, found Joanna. On paper she sounded perfect. Before we actually booked anything we met up at a park near her house and she brought her little dude Henry. We spent about 30 minutes together and talked, watched the dogs play, and by the end of it I knew she was exactly what we were looking for in a 'dog sitter'. Honestly she feels more like a friend after this experience. She sent daily (and nightly) updates with pics and videos so I could see for myself just how happy our Benny was in her care. Benny's a really sweet dog but has MAJOR puppy energy and she was able to deal with it like a pro. And her boy Henry was just the sweetest. And when Benny got to be too much for him he had NO problem letting him know who was the king rooster in the house!!! hahaha I really can not recommend Joanna enough. I’ve taken care of pets since I was a child. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, and fish.
