About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

We recently said goodbye to our senior Boston Terrier in January of this year. We have owned multiple Boston Terriers for the past 20 years. I also recently fostered a Goberian (half Golden Retriever/half Husky) for 4 months so am comfortable with large dogs as well as small. I work a hybrid schedule that I manage myself so can be home most of the time with your pet. If I do need to be in the office I am only gone for 4-5 hours at a time. I have a fenced in, brick courtyard that's great for quick potty breaks and lounging in the sun. But I also really enjoy long walks so can accomodate whatever your pet prefers. Happy to discuss everything and will do whatever is best for your pet. We also own a Syrian Hamster named Cookie Dough that is completely secure in her enclosure. Your pet would have to be ok with children (extra play time for your pet) because I have a 9 year old daughter who is here most of the time. I will be the person providing care to your pet 100% of the time. At no time will my child be responsible for or left alone with your pet. Any additional questions, please ask. We are not yet ready for our own full time dog and we miss having one around so I figured we would give Rover a try. Look forward to meeting you and your pet. About: I had my own dog walking business in my neighborhood of Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh where I live, where I would walk the dogs around my neighborhood. In high school I volunteered at doggie daycare taking care of the dogs, cleaning up after the dogs, playing with the dogs, and cleaning anything that needed to be clean. Plus I have always had a dog in my life growing up. I love dogs and I am comfortable around them and taking care of them. I am reliable, responsible, dependable, always on time and hardworking. I miss being around dogs and I want to be around dogs again, because my dog Maizie pasted away about a year ago and we have not gotten a new dog yet. Thanks I currently work an early morning shift from 6-2 so I'm done by 2pm or sooner during the week and I'm off on weekends too I can easily crate your dog if needed or let them out in the backyard as well whatever they need and I can take them to their favorite places too

“Victoria was amazing for taking in my pup at the last minute and still providing amazing service! I sometimes get self conscious when I ask for too many photos of my pup while we're away, but Victoria sent photos and videos whenever I asked with no problems! My dog also can be somewhat shy with new dogs but she took the time to do separate intros to the pack and made him feel comfortable. I could tell in all the videos and pictures he was at ease! He came back to us happy and tired from a fun night. We will definitely be rebooting when we need!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we’re so glad we found Amy! We met with her a couple of weeks before Max’s stay and she quickly put our minds at ease with how kind she is and you can tell how much she truly cares about the dogs she brings into her home. She explained how she would slowly introduce Max to the house and the other dogs which was nice to hear. During his stay we received daily updates and photos showing how our dog was fitting in. We could see he was having a great time! These updates were greatly appreciated.
