While I'm not a vet tech, I had a cat who had diabetes, IBD, and a heart issue, so I have experience administering a variety of medications, including injections, pills, liquids, and transdermal applications. Thanks to my own experience, I deeply understand the importance of keeping up with a routine, not just for cats with medical needs, but for all cats. I've also been a volunteer with a local cat rescue for two years where I clean their space, feed, and socialize the cats. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 9 years old. My family has had 3 dogs at a time since then and I have always been responsible for watching them, letting them out, and feeding them. I currently own a year old Jack Russel named sir loin and he is absolutely obsessed with making friends! I’m always available on during the week and weekend as I have a remote job. So this includes overnights, drop ins, babysitting, and walks throughout the day. My fiance and I rent in a great neighborhood full of dogs. We live right by a park and I have a little yard right outside of my house.

The layout is split-level, with cats having full run of the upstairs and dogs enjoying the main floor plus access to the fully fenced backyard — plenty of space to play, explore, and burn energy safely. I do have a resident calico and a German Shorthaired Pointer, both of whom are friendly and social, so I do ask that visiting pets are comfortable around other animals of their kind. About: Hi! I’m Alex, I’m a 28 year old graduate student in Pittsburgh and am looking to make some extra cash by doing the thing I love most - taking care of animals! I grew up with multiple dogs (big and small, young and old), two foster cats and four bunnies. I currently have one dog living with me :) I have a lot of experience with training both pups and adult dogs and have dealt with multiple difficult cases while volunteering at an animal shelter during undergrad. About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. About: I’ve taken care of dogs, both drop in and overnight visits, for two years now. I’ve dealt with small and large dogs and know how to handle them. I’ve grown up with multiple dogs in one house and know the different needs each dog requires! I am currently on break for summer from college so I am available anytime throughout the week and weekends. If you are booking day of please be aware I may have other arrangements but for the most part I should be free. Any rules and information I need are required before I enter the home.
