About: I grew up with pets (both cats and dogs) and have always loved being around and caring for animals. I worked as an animal care associate at the Humane Society of Chittenden County in Burlington, VT, where I learned safe handling techniques, gained medical knowledge, and cared for a wide variety of breeds and behavioral cases. I have extensive experience with cats, dogs, and smallies of all shapes and sizes and would love to help care for yours. I have a flexible schedule which leaves me plenty of time to walk and play with fur babies. I do have a part time job so I will need to leave occasionally when I am housesitting. I also don't mind commuting to care for an animal. I live in a lovely neighborhood for walking and am also able to drive dogs to nearby parks and hiking trails to play and exercise. We recently said goodbye to our senior Boston Terrier in January of this year. We have owned multiple Boston Terriers for the past 20 years. I also recently fostered a Goberian (half Golden Retriever/half Husky) for 4 months so am comfortable with large dogs as well as small. I work a hybrid schedule that I manage myself so can be home most of the time with your pet. If I do need to be in the office I am only gone for 4-5 hours at a time. I have a fenced in, brick courtyard that's great for quick potty breaks and lounging in the sun. But I also really enjoy long walks so can accomodate whatever your pet prefers. Happy to discuss everything and will do whatever is best for your pet. We also own a Syrian Hamster named Cookie Dough that is completely secure in her enclosure. Your pet would have to be ok with children (extra play time for your pet) because I have a 9 year old daughter who is here most of the time. I will be the person providing care to your pet 100% of the time. At no time will my child be responsible for or left alone with your pet. Any additional questions, please ask. We are not yet ready for our own full time dog and we miss having one around so I figured we would give Rover a try. Look forward to meeting you and your pet. “Raeann took such good care of my chihuahua Mojo while I was away! It’s the only time I’ve ever had someone else watching him where I didn’t worry about him constantly. She sent me multiple pictures/updates each day and I could tell he was relaxed and engaged. I appreciated that she checked with me if certain outings were ok (like taking him on trips in the car) and she made sure his important instructions were followed. He was clearly VERY loved and had all of his emotional and physical needs met. He settled right back in at home without any “where were you how could you have left me” like he has in the past before Raeann. Thank you again!”

I was very anxious to leave her but Sara was very reassuring and communicated very well. She didn’t miss a beat giving my dog her medications and sent plenty of updates. When I picked my dogs up, I could just tell they were comfortable and had a great stay. Absolutely plan to use Sara again.”
