About: I've taken care of many different types of pets for a large portion of my life. As friends and family have brought to my attention, I tend to attract animals big and small in a genuinely positive way. I'm currently in between jobs. My family had dogs including a Beagle and a Lhasa Poo while I was growing up, and I'm the one who always says, "Can I say hi?!" when I see someone out walking their dog. The only issue would be dogs who can’t do stairs. We have a pee spot in the patio if it’s really bad weather.

About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. I was supposed to pick up Theo on Monday but I ended up catching tge flue and Donte was more than happy to watch Theo and extra day. It was very rare for him, a rescue dog who is very cautious to those outside family, not to growl to someone trying to reach with hand while in my wife’s arms. It happened to Sarah. It means that Boomer trusts Sarah. It shows how much she cared for Boomer while he is with her. I will definitely take Boomer again to Sarah next time.”
