We planned a very last minute, 2-week trip over Christmas and new years weeks and Spencer and Nell were able to fit us into their schedule and be flexible with daily drop ins for our cats. This was the first time we’ve left our cats for this long with just daily drop ins (as opposed to having someone stay with them) and we were nervous to leave them for so long. We returned to two very happy cats, as if we had only been gone for a few days. Spencer and Nell continue to go above and beyond with their sits, charging the laser pointer so they can play with the cats, adjusting the temperature in the apartment so the cats are comfortable, making sure everything is clean and tidy for our return home, etc - the list goes on! We are so lucky to have found them as pet sitters and will continue to use them whenever they are available!”

About: Starting local to Philadelphia. I have been taking care of other people's strays and rescuing feral and street animals for several years. I can manage several animals simultaneously and accommodate all of their psychological and physical needs. I have provided care for Chinchillas, Ferrets, Rabbits, cats, and dogs. Dog walking was something I did for two years for my neighbors. I am currently a cat sitter, and provide drop-in visits. In the morning I will check on the needs of any animals ie food and water. I will play and walk with them for about an hour. I will have dogs with similar temperaments play with one another. After playing and walking I will make sure they eat and rest. Throughout the day I will provide activities and enrichment for the pets. At the end of the day i will walk dogs for another hour. I care for pets in my home based on their individualized needs. Certain cats are independent and would prefer not to be touched. I will foster a positive relationship with the pet slowly, and individualize their affection based on their personalities and needs.

About: I have over five years of experience working in an animal hospital, where I cared for animals of all kinds through walking, feeding, monitoring, and providing daily support. Through this experience, I became highly comfortable and knowledgeable in caring for pets with specific needs, including administering medications, senior pet care, and grooming. “John is the absolute best. He and his equally hospitable Boston Terrier, Parker, took care of our Wheaten Dolly for two weeks. We were nervous having never left her with anyone for that long, but he provided us with regular (and often very funny) updates about how Dolly was doing. He took the time to understand Dolly and worked with her on some of her issues. She only sleeps on her back when she feels safe and secure, and many of the photos John sent showed her snoozing away on her back, paws in the air. She came back clean, brushed, and although she was excited to see me I think she was a little sad to say goodbye to John and Parker. We will absolutely be relying on John in the future and are so grateful to the kindness he showed us and Dolly.”
