It's important that we leave our dog with someone who is pet experienced, and has the right amount of time & a safe setup. But in this case, not only is the house nice/roomy with a large backyard, but also it authentically feels like Jennifer and her daughter & husband are enjoying the experience as well. I feel like dogs respond to genuine affection, and that makes all the difference for us. Jennifer took pictures of her husband comforting Moose, and gave us stories about her daughter sleeping with him in her arms. This makes us want to give him this delightful experience everytime we are forced to travel without him, if possible. Prior to that time, I always lived with cats and was the friend people thought of when they needed someone to do house and pet-sitting. I sat with quite a few small dogs, as well as a giant pit bull named Miles and a sweet special needs senior lab named Boogie. In my rural home on 3 acres are two 20 pound terriers named Jack and Sadie. They do not have a fenced yard to run around in, but always get at least three good walks each day (locally, on trails, dog parks). They're extremely bonded and are good with other small dogs and cats.

About: Currently the "sister" to a six year old Cavapoo dog whom I have pet sat multiple times in my home for my parents. I have helped walk my neighbor's rescue dog (who has anxiety, but seems to get along well with me). I was a regular cat sitter for a family friend (responsibilities included twice daily feeding, cleaning of the litter box, and making sure he was let in and out of the house). I work part time as a waitress so I can help on my days off or before and after I work. I can stop by or take your pets for a longer walk. “This was our first time using Rover. Gabriela came highly recommended by a friend whose dog she had previously cared for. We could not have been any happier or more pleased with the exceptional care she provided to our 16 1/2 yr old chihuahua. Having an older dog with poor vision and hearing impaired made us so nervous but Gabriela immediately made us feel comfortable and had such keen instincts for our pup's needs. Our dog immediately bonded with her. We received pictures and updates from Gabriela and upon picking her up also received a full report. “Jacqueline and Jim treated my pup and loved her like their own! As it was my 60-lb Golden Retriever’s first time at a house with a cat, I set up a meet and greet and I could tell my dog felt right at home. Jacqueline was super communicative and warm prior to and during the boarding process. I could tell by the photos that my dog was comfortable and I was afraid she wouldn’t want to come back with me!
