About: I’ve grown up taking care of two Labradors and French Bulldog! I have experience with providing walks, meals, and medications to puppies and senior dogs Currently a half-day Villanova senior, so I am around most afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. After 2pm is ideal, with the exception of Wednesday nights I have a quiet, pet-safe apartment (no access to candles, flowers, sharp objects). About: I’ve had dogs for over 15 years and have always been very hands on with their care. I raised my Yorkie and Dachshund from puppies and cared for them throughout their entire lives. I’ve also watched other dogs, including Corgis, Maltese, and Beagles, and I’m most comfortable with small to medium sized dogs. My two dogs recently passed away after long, happy lives, and I’m not quite ready to have another dog of my own yet. I have always been an animal lover and genuinely love being around animals. I honestly can’t imagine my life without having an animal around, so caring for other people’s pets feels like a wonderful way for me to still have that companionship while giving their families peace of mind. I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs because I cared for my own senior dog through lymphoma, heart disease, kidney disease, and seizures. I’m used to the extra attention, patience, and observation they may need, and I’m comfortable giving medications, injections, or medication with food when needed. Most of all, I truly enjoy caring for animals and getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I know how much pets mean to their families, so when I watch someone’s pet, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home, not like they are simply being boarded somewhere. I work from home three days a week, so I’m around the house most of the time. On the days I do go into work, my office is only about a 15 minute drive away and my schedule is flexible, so I can come home when needed. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and will do my best to keep the same feeding, potty, walking, and medication schedule they’re used to at home. I want your pet’s stay to feel as normal and comfortable as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I have a fenced backyard, so dogs can have safe outdoor time without being loose or unattended. Having recently cared for a senior dog with several health issues, I’m very used to paying attention to small changes in a dog’s behavior, appetite, energy, bathroom habits, or anything else that seems different. If I notice something unusual, I’ll let you know rather than assuming it’s nothing. My own dogs recently passed away, so when your dog stays with me, they are the only pet in the house. I’m also very careful about keeping things out of reach. My Dachshund was always somehow able to find things he was not supposed to eat, so I became very used to keeping food, small objects, and anything potentially unsafe put away.

“As first time Rover and boarder users we were nervous leaving our 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd Atlas with anyone for the first time. From the very first message Clarissa was warm, responsive and thorough. She answered every question thoughtfully and put our minds completely at ease before we even met her. The meet and greet was a wonderful touch and gave us the confidence to move forward. During his stay Clarissa sent daily photos and updates which meant the world to us while we were away. When he needed extra comfort at night she took him upstairs to sleep with her dogs so he felt safe and settled. That level of care goes so far beyond what any boarding facility could offer. Atlas came home happy, tired and smelly (which we expected :) )from a week of running in her beautiful fenced in yard. Honestly I don’t think he wanted to leave! For a high energy Aussie who is used to being home all day, Clarissa’s calm home environment and the way she manages her pack was absolutely perfect for him. We cannot recommend Clarissa highly enough, especially for first time boarders or anxious dog owners. We will absolutely be booking again.”

About: I'm particularly experienced in taking care of cats and rabbits. I have 2 spunky lionhead/angora lop eared bunnies that bring me so much joy and happiness. I also have 2 cats (a siamese and an orange tabby) that I adore and currently curled up next to me as I write this. Both cats and rabbits need specific care and attention that I can offer. I'm currently working full-time at a special education school, but I'm available early morning (6:00 to 7:30 AM) and later afternoon/evening (4:30 to 8:00 PM) for visits I would ask for specifics on each pet and a detailed instructions for how to best take care of each pet. Rabbits require specific diets and feeding schedules involving hay, pellets, lettuce and greens. Rabbits also require more care in terms of cleaning waste. Cats also need a specific feeding schedule, water change, and care in terms of cleaning waste.

To make sure everyone is well hydrated, fresh clean water is accessible to the dogs every day at all times, inside of the house and in the backyard.

About: I grew up with dogs. When I was 18 I co-adopted two pitbulls who lived out their lives with me. After college, I volunteered for Monster Milers taking shelter dogs from Street Tails Animal Rescue out for runs to help them burn energy and become more adoptable. My wife and I have adopted three times. A fawn pug who lived until 9 years old, a black pug who lived until 17 years old, and a Alaskan Malamute/Husky/Amstaff mix (107lbs) that lived until he was 13 and we recently lost. I'm good with all furry friends big and small and adjust my approach based on the dogs energy. I currently have a ton of flexibility outside of my kids to help with your pups, but generally, I'm home a lot and very active so lots of room to get your pup out for long walks and exercise/stimulation. I do not have a fenced in yard, and always keep my dogs on leashes until they were absolutely ready to listen solely to my commands. I use a gentle leader that helps minimize impact on their throat and also is very effective with pulling, but can be flexible to your sitch.

About: I have been caring for my grandparents dogs while they go on vacation ever since I was 10, always making sure they were walked, fed, and kept in clean conditions. Caring for animals is never about just getting the job done for me, I genuinely love animals of all kind and enjoy interacting with them and getting to know each pets personality. In the absence of pets of my own, I have even taken to befriending crows, squirrels, chipmunks, and more in my backyard so that I still get to engage with animals daily. About: Hi! I have a mini goldendoodle puppy who is super friendly and spunky. I got him as a graduation gift to myself during my senior year of college at Northwestern, and I moved here with him last summer! When I was in college, I helped my cousin who lived in the city with his puppy by watching him on the weekends and walking him throughout the week. I've also nannied and babysat for years, too, for large families, so I'm pretty good at dealing with chaotic situations. I'm very active, and I am happy to help however I can. I have experience with providing walks, meals, and medications to puppies and senior dogs Currently a half-day Villanova senior, so I am around most afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. After 2pm is ideal, with the exception of Wednesday nights I have a quiet, pet-safe apartment (no access to candles, flowers, sharp objects). “As first time Rover and boarder users we were nervous leaving our 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd Atlas with anyone for the first time. From the very first message Clarissa was warm, responsive and thorough. She answered every question thoughtfully and put our minds completely at ease before we even met her. The meet and greet was a wonderful touch and gave us the confidence to move forward. During his stay Clarissa sent daily photos and updates which meant the world to us while we were away. When he needed extra comfort at night she took him upstairs to sleep with her dogs so he felt safe and settled. That level of care goes so far beyond what any boarding facility could offer. Atlas came home happy, tired and smelly (which we expected :) )from a week of running in her beautiful fenced in yard. Honestly I don’t think he wanted to leave! For a high energy Aussie who is used to being home all day, Clarissa’s calm home environment and the way she manages her pack was absolutely perfect for him. We cannot recommend Clarissa highly enough, especially for first time boarders or anxious dog owners. We will absolutely be booking again.”
