About: I started fostering kitten when I was around 5, and have fostered over 200 kittens with the local humane league. The last 4 years of my life were spent caring for my childhood cat full time who passed at 19. I'm great at dealing with cat personalities, I've seen all types while fostering, and I'm especially good with scared or shy cats, and great at caring for elderly kitties. I've had dogs all my life, one or two always since I was 10. All were big golden retrievers/labs, all quite big boys, but I love all types of dogs. I'm going to be available full time to take care of your pets. Until recently, I was taking care of my own elderly cat full time as she needed lots of care. Now I'd really like to help out other peoples pets with the knowledge and experience I've gained throughout my life. Give them a good pet and checkup every time I see them to make sure nothing hurts/stands out. I can do whatever else your pet usually needs too. About: I started fostering kittens when I was around 5, I fostered probably over 200 kittens with the local humane league. I used to take my most well behaved orange cat around to schools and do presentations for the humane league about spaying and neutering, and trying to get the kids at the schools to convince their parents to adopt shelter kitties/kittens. I frequently took in kittens that her various coworkers or friends, or my friends found, raised them and found them homes. I've seen every type of cat and always get them to warm up to me quickly. I also grew up with Dobermans, so I’m no stranger to big, smart, emotional dogs who need confidence, structure, and someone who actually pays attention. That upbringing taught me patience, consistency, and to always advocate for the dog in front of me. I’ve had all sorts of animals in my life..even my two skinny pigs who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. They were tiny, but trust me, they had huge personalities and fit right in with visiting pups. Between my own dogs, my extended family’s dogs, and the endless stream of personalities I meet through boarding, I’ve gotten really comfortable reading different temperaments. Cuddly lap dogs, anxious shadow followers, high energy explorers, the “I’m independent but also please never leave me” types. I love them all and adjust to whatever they need. I’ve also worked with dogs who aren’t always easy around others. I take things slow, keep everyone safe, and create an environment where every dog can relax and feel secure. Safety and understanding always come first. At the end of the day, every dog who stays with me becomes part of my little crew. I’m not a kennel! They live life with me. Walks, snuggles, routines, the whole thing. Your pup will be cared for exactly how I care for my own: with intention, patience, and a lot of love. ❤️ Dog boarding is my full time thing now. No side jobs and no juggling. This is truly what I do every day. The dogs are part of everything I am doing, whether I am folding laundry, watering plants, or working out in the yard. When the weather is warm we are outside a ton getting fresh air, exploring, and just living life together. A few times a year I take short breaks to focus on my own dog Luigi, and to reset my mental health. I know what it feels like to hand your dog to someone else and hope they truly understand them. That is why I take safety so seriously. Quality always comes before quantity in my home. I am very selective about how many dogs I accept at one time, and most of the time your dog or dogs will be the only ones staying with us. On rare occasions, this may include a dog who has already stayed with me multiple times and has an emergency come up. In those situations, all pet parents involved are notified and asked for permission before anything is confirmed. I have a fenced in yard and I am always outside with the dogs. When we drive they are buckled into a harness every single time. I carry first aid in my car and in my hiking backpack because being prepared matters. I use Apple AirTags when we leave the house so I always know where your pup is. If your dog is leash reactive or nervous I plan ahead. I research quiet trails, low traffic times, and when needed I rent private land so it is only us and there are no surprises. I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your dog is safe, understood, and protected. Trust is earned, and I show it through every decision I make.
About: Animals have been part of my life since I was 7 years old, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve loved and cared for 3 cats and 6 dogs of my own, giving me experience with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and care needs. About: I have worked at a local animal hospital as a Veterinary Assistant the past 2 years. In this role I take appointments, handle and care for both cats and dogs, and assist the other veterinary staff. I am Fear Free Certified, meaning I took a course about animal behavior and how to best reduce stress on your pets. I also grew up with Dobermans, so I’m no stranger to big, smart, emotional dogs who need confidence, structure, and someone who actually pays attention. That upbringing taught me patience, consistency, and to always advocate for the dog in front of me. I’ve had all sorts of animals in my life..even my two skinny pigs who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. They were tiny, but trust me, they had huge personalities and fit right in with visiting pups. Cuddly lap dogs, anxious shadow followers, high energy explorers, the “I’m independent but also please never leave me” types. I love them all and adjust to whatever they need. A few times a year I take short breaks to focus on my own dog Luigi, and to reset my mental health. I am very selective about how many dogs I accept at one time, and most of the time your dog or dogs will be the only ones staying with us. On rare occasions, this may include a dog who has already stayed with me multiple times and has an emergency come up. In those situations, all pet parents involved are notified and asked for permission before anything is confirmed. I have a fenced in yard and I am always outside with the dogs. When we drive they are buckled into a harness every single time. I carry first aid in my car and in my hiking backpack because being prepared matters. I use Apple AirTags when we leave the house so I always know where your pup is. If your dog is leash reactive or nervous I plan ahead. I research quiet trails, low traffic times, and when needed I rent private land so it is only us and there are no surprises. I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your dog is safe, understood, and protected. Trust is earned, and I show it through every decision I make.
About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was ten. As an adult I have owned 3 dogs. My current pup is a goldendoodle named Baxter. Baxter is a spoiled boy and gets 2 walks a day and lots of attention throughout the day. Prior to Baxter I had a golden retriever named Cody and prior to Cody I had a golden retriever named Midas. All of my dogs have been to obedience training. I know all of the commands and am happy to practice those command with your pup. I live in a small subdivision and I am the go to dog sitter for all of my neighbors. I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur baby. About: Hello! My name is Rachel, I am a graduate student living in Lancaster and love to take care of your pets in my free time! I grew up with a big family and many animals including goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and a few dogs running around. I have always loved animals, especially horses and dogs. I also worked at Karen’s K9 Kare in Malvern for around a year. During my time there I gained experience dealing with large groups of dogs as well as bathing, training, and getting picky dogs to eat. About: I have taken care of every animal there is, from reptiles to dogs, cats, and even just plants! I have been sitting since i was about 15 and i have loved every second of it! I love connecting with the animals and getting to really bond with them. Family and friends have relied on me to help take care of their special friends and I make it a point to deliver! About: I started fostering kitten when I was around 5, and have fostered over 200 kittens with the local humane league. The last 4 years of my life were spent caring for my childhood cat full time who passed at 19. I'm great at dealing with cat personalities, I've seen all types while fostering, and I'm especially good with scared or shy cats, and great at caring for elderly kitties. I've had dogs all my life, one or two always since I was 10. All were big golden retrievers/labs, all quite big boys, but I love all types of dogs. I'm going to be available full time to take care of your pets. Until recently, I was taking care of my own elderly cat full time as she needed lots of care. Now I'd really like to help out other peoples pets with the knowledge and experience I've gained throughout my life.
