About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life and helped train them when they were puppies. I have 1 dog and a cat right now, and love playing with, walking them, and cuddling. I worked at a doggy daycare for 2 years and as a pet groomer for under 1 year, and I also earned my Dog Training Certification through Animal Behavior College. I adore pets and always have, and I strive to make any pets day the best with whatever they need! I currently go to school and work part-time. Working part time allows me to have more time to play with your dogs. I am able to spend time with your pups on Mondays and Wednesdays anytime 12pm or after. About: Do you ever look at your dog and think how did I get so lucky...Pups to many our like children they get all the love you have to give...Like you the time I am with them I will love and adore them...I've almost always had a dog...My beagle Shelby 15 1/2 passed away on December 20, 2022 and Dante passed away July 4th 2020, I don't have the heart to delete them he was 11 and had been with me the past 4 years since I saved him from the NYC kill shelter on his last day...I trap cats have them fixed and find them homes, some stay (10)....I am active on house sitting sites and travel for sits whenever I have free time from work (photographer)...For years I have taken care of friends cats, dogs, horses, cows, goats and Rizzo the rat... I work a lot from home only gone a few hours at a time if I do need to go out for any jobs or errands... About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have the time to let your pup out as many times as he/she wants. If they are a little dog I will be right by their side. I am up 6a - 9p. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). I have a dog bed next to me in my office or a couch in front of a large front window. I have locked screen security doors in case your pup likes to sniff the air. Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm and summer months off. I am currently a part time Binghamton University graduate student studying for a masters degree in early childhood special education. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. I wash my dogs as needed or every two weeks. I brush their teeth, fur, and clip their nails weekly as well. I only have high quality chew bones and other toys available that don’t pose a risk as my dogs are heavy chewers.
