About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. To me they aren't just pets, but an extension of family. I am willing to help in your home with check - ins, walking and feeding. I am available to help with all pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, amphibians, & fish). My hours of availability are 8 am - 12 am Sun - Sat most weeks for care in your home and / or walking / check in services. I'm a homemaker and pet care is a top priority for me now, as my children are grown. My schedule is pretty open unless I have previously scheduled appointments. I prefer 48 hours or more notice for bookings. Must have a meet & greet to go over your pet care needs and how to access your home before first booking. While at your home, I will care for your pet(s) as we have discussed during the meet & greet. I will get to know your pet(s) personally while spending time with them and care for them as if they are my own. Special needs & administering medicine are not a problem. I enjoy walking leash trained dogs, playing with them and cuddles as well as head boops & cuddles with cats too. I am comfortable with the care of most common household pets, including feeding, cleaning, and routine care.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as you’d like - they also have some treat throughout the day.

About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
