She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. Plus, she ensured Mavis got plenty of playtime – she understood Mavis's playful side. I was impressed by how Crystal helped Mavis and Sushi become friends. They hit it off after a little supervised playtime, which made me feel even better about leaving Mavis with her. What genuinely set Crystal apart was her communication. Seventeen years later, I’ve shared my home with four beloved family cats, cared for two foster litters, and volunteered for five years at a no-kill shelter in New Jersey. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and currently have two lovable 80-pound dogs, Layla and Luna. Since I was 15, I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors, working with dogs of all sizes and personalities. About: I’ve had dogs since I was born! I currently have 2 dogs, a chinchilla, and a hamster! I have grown up taking care of my dogs, along with all my other pets along the years! I have cat experience, as my brother has 2 and my roommates and I have fostered cats. I am a student, so I have classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a gap in the late morning/early afternoon. About: Growing up with dogs all my life along with my animal science major I am well versed in medication routines, early morning to late night potty breaks, special dietary needs to the ones who have been loved past their youth and need a little extra care. I’ve been bit, scratched, slobbered and thrown up on so I can handle anything your pets have to offer. I’m working part time at a restaurant however I am more than willing to make time during off days for your fur-babies, walks and regular exercise, quick check ins and long stays I will make time to do.
