About: I’ve been an animal rescuer since childhood, and have raised my children (12-20) to do the same. My most recent official role in animal care and rescue has been via fostering dogs and cats through the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Unofficially, I have been a proud dog mama for 11 years, and cat mama off and on since childhood. My resident doggo Patches is a proud foster father, and is comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages. If you have a pup or cat that could use a cuddle buddy while you are away, Patches is your guy. I am comfortable with and have experience in caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and small reptiles. I do have a particular aversion to cricket feeding, but we can make it work with super worms lol I do not know much about fish or amphibian care, but I am open to learning. I am a stay at home parent with my youngest children entering middle and high school, so my schedule is fairly open. I’m looking for furry friends to hang out with while I’m home during the day. It’s gets a little lonely in here 😊 I unfortunately do have a disability that impacts the right side of my body. Because of this, I am nervous about larger dogs that jump often (not just excited hellos), or who have strong prey drives and could potentially drag me on a walk. My dog Patches (50lbs) is walked with a gentle lead harness to keep things safe for both of us. I can handle dogs his size - or a bit larger - who do not jump, or who are low energy and would prefer to hang in the backyard rather than taking longer walks. I care for all animals as I would a human family member. I am comfortable with normal day to day care, as well as those who require special needs. I try to be very respectful of the personality of each pet. Some animals are nervous at first, and I’d like to respect their need for space and/or time to warm up to me. Other animals are excited to have a brand new friend, and I am too! Basically, I try to match the energy of who I am hanging out with.

I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. I actually had to extend Austin's stay a few times and Tyler was always happy and willing to house Austin for as long as we needed. Tyler let me come visit Austin periodically since I missed him so much, and every time I visited Austin looked great and seemed truly happy there. I will 10/10 rebook with Tyler! “What can I say… Kim did an incredible job with drop in visits this past week for our kitties Peanut and Milo. She is calm, patient, caring, and reliable. Extremely reliable!!! We were away on vacation when a huge snowstorm hit, and Kim made a plan to ensure she could care for Peanut and Milo. I am currently studying canine training and behavior at the Animal Behavior Institute and have previous work experience as a kennel assistant, which has helped me tremendously when it comes to understanding animal behavior. I like working with small dogs/lap dogs but I can work with bigger dogs too. I work from home, and I have plenty of time to play with your dog or take them on walks. I spend most of my day ar my desk, and I would welcome the extra encouragement to go outside and take the dog for a walk. I live with two other family members who love dogs, so your dog will never go without attention. If your dog is small, then I will happily let them sit on my bed while I work, and I'll reach over to give them pets whenever they want. Larger dogs are welcome to lie in a dog bed by my desk, or downstairs on the couch with me.

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs since I was 16. My entire family now all have dogs of their own so I come from a large dog loving family. I’m ready and willing to take care of your dog as if they were part of my family. I’m a nurse so being caring is in my nature, this also allows me to be comfortable administering medications I’m currently a full time RN working 3 12 hour shifts a week, every third weekend so I have pretty flexible availability throughout the week. About: I have had pets all my life. For nearly twenty years I grew up having multiple rescue dogs! I have always loved animals! For the past twenty plus years I have had cats. I have also had and cared for many types of small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, gerbils, hamsters, birds as well as fish, turtles and hermit crabs! Presently, I volunteer my time with two local rescue organizations. I am dependable, reliable and flexible! From now through mid-June I have availability between 9-11am and 1-2pm. After mid June I am available all day with the exception of 11-1pm. I am available for walks and drop in visits! We have a fenced in back yard for our Golden Retriever. She is walked twice a day around our neighborhood. We try to spend as much time outside with her as possible. My cat is an indoor cat. Theresa was very careful to completely understand the dogs' needs (diets, outdoor breaks, exercise, etc.) and was very accommodating for their 2 large beds. (She even slept with them downstairs that night rather than wake them to head upstairs!) We will not hesitate to arrange for her to care for them again; I think they miss Louie!”
“Jon was great. I could tell when I met him and we chatted that he loves dogs and cares for their wellbeing when he has them at his home. He does not have a fenced yard but has an old golf course behind the house for walks and he works at home. I highly recommend him.”

“I don't know why it took me so long to post this review. Tyler was absolutely amazing with my dog, Austin! I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. I actually had to extend Austin's stay a few times and Tyler was always happy and willing to house Austin for as long as we needed. Tyler let me come visit Austin periodically since I missed him so much, and every time I visited Austin looked great and seemed truly happy there. I will 10/10 rebook with Tyler! I am forever grateful for Tyler's help throughout that difficult time and highly recommend using him for whatever length of stay your pup or kitty needs.”
