About: For 30+ years, I've taken care of pets & animals of all ages and sizes. Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and even chickens. I can be relied upon to care for your pets with love and compassion when you're not able to! I work full-time, I have two daughters (12 & 14), I have a full-time working husband, and we have a 6 year old Basset Hound named Tootsie. While we lead busy lives, we have structure and schedules that our furry friends fit well into! I am easily able to carve out time for walks, meals, playtimes and bedtimes. We live in a quiet neighborhood and we have a 6 year old Basset Hound that can keep your pet company! I also have experience with crating if needed/wanted.

About: I had cats from 1985-2010 so I've had plenty of kitty experience, including two cats that were diabetic so I had to administer insulin daily. As for litter boxes, as long as there are enough to makes the cats happy, that's a good thing. I don't currently have a cat because after my last one passed away I turned my focus onto K9 search and rescue so I had a lot of strange dogs visiting which isn't good if you also have cats - it can be stressful for both!

About: I have had pets ever since I was a small child: dogs, cats, hamster, gerbils, chinchilla, parakeet, turtles, even a toad that we saved from a freezing winter. We took care of it till spring and then released it. I love animals of all types. Almost, I'm not babysitting your tarantula or pet snake. My dog and cat are loved as if they were my children and your dog will be treated this way as well. We enjoy taking walks and car rides to the dog park in nice days. I never allow my dog outside without me. I am semi-retired and I work from home painting and repairing furniture and working on various crafts. Therefore I am very flexible with my time. I live in a decent sized 2 story home with a large back yard. It is not fenced all the way so my dog is always on a cable or leash. We live to go for walks and to the dog park for extra exercise. My dog is a husky mix and is almost 4 years old. She loves dogs of all sizes.
About: I have been caring for pets my whole life. I have always had my own pets as well so I understand all of the responsibilities that go into caring for an animal. I love dogs and have experience working with them both small and large, ranging in ages from puppy to elderly. I love helping them get their daily exercise and helping them learn new tricks using positive reinforcement. “GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! We were in town working a vendor event at Cooper's Lake. I took my dogs to Gina for doggy day care while we were at the event. One of my dogs is a big, strong, hyper, crazy, high energy goofball that loves everyone and and wants to play nonstop. The other dog is the polar opposite. She's a rescue that came from some unknown traumatic past. She doesn't trust people easily and it takes her a while to warm up to you. Gina matches both their energy perfectly, and they love her! When they spotted her house they were so excited! Even my Paisley was so excited she was squealing! When you have a dog like that you worry about their happiness all the time because they're so emotionally fragile and it takes a LOT for you to leave them with someone unless your 100% sure they're ok. Gina is that type of dogsitter. During the day I got pictures of them on their adventures around her property, updates about their mood and silly pictures of them playing and eating their snacks. She spoiled them rotten! Every night I picked them up they were happy, happy, happy and exhausted! If you need someone to care for your pups I can't even begin to tell you how fantastic my experience was with Gina.”

About: I have a dog of my own. I potty trained her and I also taught her several tricks. She is a very active dog but it's nothing I can’t handle. I walk my dog 3-5x everyday depending on the weather. I also fill their water bowl and food bowl every morning. A few times throughout the week I go to the dog park. Everyone in my home including my dog is friendly when it comes to animals. We will treat yours like family because we are a very dog-loving family.

About: I am very flexible with hours. I am an active person and happy to play with your pet and walk them as much as needed. I grew up in the cold, so weather doesn't bother me walking or driving. I also am willing to work with your hours and do what is best for your pet. I also am always happy to send pictures and check in so you know they are living your best life. I can be flexible but I am a morning person so early walks are okay with me. I can also drop in easily through the day with little issue. I grew up with large dogs (lover (100lbs) and 2 cats, and am the current owner of a Bernese Mountain dog who I love. I love all animals but tend to lean to bigger dogs. About: Hello! My name is Tabatha Garman, I am the sole owner and operator of Special Paws Pet Care and a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). As a veterinary technician, I play the nurse role of the veterinary team. I graduated from Kent State University with my Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in May of 2021 and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Integrated Studies focused in animal behavior. While in school for my technician license, I gained various hands-on skills with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds, horses, snakes, and much more. Outside of school, I have trained at numerous veterinary hospitals and gained vital experience in CPR and emergency response. My personal experience caring for animals expands far beyond my education and career, as I have cared for my own, family's, and friend's pets my entire life. As previously mentioned, I have a vast range of experience with different species from small pocket pets and reptiles to large and farm animals. I love working with nearly any species, especially pigs and cows! My medication administration skills are just as vast, including giving various types of injections and fluids, oral pill and liquid administration, topical applications, etc. Any pets with special needs are assured to be taken care of! Specializing in animal behavior, those with unique personalities or who are a bit grumpy or naturally prefer alone time are some of my favorite to work with. I love working to understand them and win them over and am happy to try to work with any type of disposition or behavioral challenges. No job is too big or small. Whether you have a pet that needs daily medication, help getting around, and extra special care, or just want to feel comforted knowing that your furry family member is in great hands, I am happy to care for any and all of them. I am currently dedicating my time to in-home pet care while going to school full-time online, so I am free to fit your pet into my schedule however you may need. While I do personalize my schedule to fit your pet specifically, my typical day is scheduled like this and changed as needed, just to give you a better idea of your pet's time with me: When I arrive, I always spend time making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. When staying with them overnight, I will keep them company until morning, make sure they have everything they need and get some pets or playtime in, then I will leave as needed to tend to any other appointments, making sure to return to check-in and spend time with them at minimum every 3-4 hours, unless more frequently is needed. Whether you just need a daily check in and play time for your cat while you're away, or if you need someone to take your pup out every couple of hours along with walks and lots of play time, or even if you have an older pup who can't really spend time alone at all, we can definitely make a plan to suit your family purrr-fectly. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. Whether at home, in the car, at the vet, out for a walk, or at the park, I am always extremely diligent to make sure your pet stays safe and sound. I always use doggy seatbelts or enclosures when driving, reflective strips and flashlights at night, ramps and manual assistance for mobility-challenged pups, predator-deterrent to protect them from harm, and vet-approved chews or boredom busters to make sure your pup is happier and healthier when you arrive back home. Out of an abundance of caution, I typically do not have pets I'm watching interact with other pets I'm unfamiliar with (ie: no communal dog parks). In the case that anything does happen while I am with them, I am trained on the safest and most effective way to stop a dog fight, as well as being trained in CPR, emergency triage and response, and homeostatic stabilization. I also always have a list of the nearest emergency hospitals on hand should they ever be needed. I strive to follow all pet-parent's wants and needs for their pets, including whatever training or rules you may have for your pet while they are in my care (crating, treats, toys, etc). About: For 30+ years, I've taken care of pets & animals of all ages and sizes. Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and even chickens. I can be relied upon to care for your pets with love and compassion when you're not able to! I work full-time, I have two daughters (12 & 14), I have a full-time working husband, and we have a 6 year old Basset Hound named Tootsie. While we lead busy lives, we have structure and schedules that our furry friends fit well into! I am easily able to carve out time for walks, meals, playtimes and bedtimes. We live in a quiet neighborhood and we have a 6 year old Basset Hound that can keep your pet company! I also have experience with crating if needed/wanted.
