“Benny has been to Rodney’s house twice- once for doggy day care and once for boarding. He had a blast there and had tons of fun romping around with Rodney’s pups. Rodney accommodated a slightly different pickup due to ice and snow, which I greatly appreciated. Rodney also didn’t have a problem wiping off Benny’s paws (he had an allergic reaction to some treats right before he went), and his paws looked better when we picked him up. At other boarding facilities when this has happened (we are constantly fighting his allergies as we learn what he can/can’t eat), he has always come home in worse shape than when we left. Not at Rodney’s house. He received loving care during his stay and it showed! We also got tons of pictures from Benny’s stay. Thanks Rodney!”

About: I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently unemployed and have most days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any clients schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

About: As a child and teen, I helped my mom breed, raise, and train golden retrievers. As an adult and family man, I cared for my dog "Beyoncé" and cat "Kitty." I work at home as an engineer / consultant and have lots of flexibility with taking breaks. I have a need to move every hour at least. I live in a single family home that I own. The house is kept clean and because of my pet history I keep things off the floor and food safe from pets. There’s a nice yard but no fence. I have my three boys staying here every other week/end. They're animal lovers too, but in case separation is needed, my bedroom or the finished basement can be used to contain a pet when the kids are around. For pet sitting and dog walking, I have a leash and a fanny pack. As a runner, it's a joy to take energetic dogs on the trail. For runs & walks, I use my own private access to the little gunpowder falls river woods with a long walkable waterfall, the local NCR trail, or the cemetery across the street (1/4mi laps).

I’ll admit it’s been a bit since I had to focus on school work for my psych degree, but now that I have to wait till fall for grad school, I figured now is the time to help out some furry friends! As mentioned prior, I have extensive prior experience volunteering at various shelters, vets and farms assisting with animal care, as well as my own personal experience caring for a diverse array of pets. I am happy to gather recommendations from organizations I work with. While caring for your pet or pets, I will regularly keep in contact with you and update you with both text and photos (if desired), along with keeping a dedicated spreadsheet of feeding/watering/grooming times and overall health to guarantee your peace of mind. I am capable of providing pet care across a flexible schedule. I can provide early care from 6-9 AM in the morning and any time after 4:20 PM on weekdays, as well as 24 hour care on weekends and overnight stays if needed. I am able to care for pets in a wide variety of ways thanks to expensive experience. Walking, feeding, litter-box cleaning, playtime, as well as insulin/subcutaneous fluid injections are all possible. I can also administer medication orally. Daily checkups as well as overnight stays are both possible.
About: I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently unemployed and have most days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any clients schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

“Benny has been to Rodney’s house twice- once for doggy day care and once for boarding. He had a blast there and had tons of fun romping around with Rodney’s pups. Rodney accommodated a slightly different pickup due to ice and snow, which I greatly appreciated. Rodney also didn’t have a problem wiping off Benny’s paws (he had an allergic reaction to some treats right before he went), and his paws looked better when we picked him up. At other boarding facilities when this has happened (we are constantly fighting his allergies as we learn what he can/can’t eat), he has always come home in worse shape than when we left. Not at Rodney’s house. He received loving care during his stay and it showed! We also got tons of pictures from Benny’s stay. Thanks Rodney!”
