About: Although I didn’t grow up around cats, I recently had the opportunity to foster a cat through the local humane society! She was a young and energetic cat who was rescued as a stray, but had to be kept in isolation from other animals due to a communicable illness. Once we took her in, giving her the space to rest and rehab comfortably, she made a quick recovery and was adopted after a couple short months, once she was medically cleared! This taught me so much about tending to the needs of rescue animals and specifically monitoring any health concerns!

About: I’ve had a passion for animals since I was a little girl. I always wanted a dog but wasn’t allowed. Growing up I had a few animals cats, Guinea pigs, ferrets, Gerbil, Bird and fish. One of my cats was recently diagnosed with asthma and my dog has a cleft lip :) I recently started a new job as a Store Manager where I work full time but I always coordinate my schedules. Ideally I would love to be a pet sitter full time as animal care is my true passion. I love getting to know you and your pets and how to care for them best. I'm located in Trevose and work very close to my new job right now, so drop in visits before or after, or multi night house sittings are no issue! I am unable to provide boarding at my house but I can house/pet sit no problem! If you are looking to book a DOG sitting or walking, meeting them beforehand would be important to me to make sure we are comfortable with each other. For house sittings, I will stay the night but I might be out for the day for work. If I'm off I will spend the day at home with your pets! For drop in visits I usually go before and after work at whatever specific time we agree upon.

“Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”
