Relaxation/Affection Time: Cuddling on the couch, gentle petting or quiet playtime. Preparing for the Night: Ensuring fresh water and comfortable sleeping arrangements. About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I grew up with three wonderful dogs throughout my childhood, each teaching me something different about love, patience, and companionship. One of them was even a future seeing-eye dog. Although we only had him for about a year before he went on to begin his important work, it was incredibly rewarding to be part of his journey and to help prepare him for the life-changing role he would have. When my husband and I bought our first home, one of the very first things we did was adopt the sweetest girl named Kora. She filled our home with joy, laughter, muddy paw prints, and unconditional love for ten unforgettable years. Saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but I wouldn't trade a single moment we had together. Because of these experiences, I know that dogs aren't "just pets"—they're family. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless games of fetch, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll care for them with the same patience, kindness, and attention I'd want someone to give my own. About: Hi! My name is Emily, and I live with my husband and our two pups in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since a very young age. As a child/teenager, I grew up with two Standard Poodles. In my early 20's, I was a parent to two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Present day, I am mama to Nala, our Australian Shepherd & Siberian Husky mix, and Riku, our purebred Siberian Husky. Throughout the years, neighbors, friends, family, and clients have relied on me to walk, provide daycare, pet & house-sit, and overnight board many dogs of all different breeds. I am excited to welcome more pup friends into our family and to provide a fun, safe, and loving environment for all. I am available on a daily/weekly basis for boarding/overnight stays in our home (including weekends, i.e. Monday through Sunday). I provide doggy daycare, drop-in visits, and dog walking Monday through Friday. We live in a single-family home with plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for all dogs to be comfortable & happy. If breaks or alone time is needed, we are able to give the dogs their own rooms and/or separate them with gates throughout the house. Currently, we do not have a fenced-in yard, but we will be installing one within the next few years. Until then, we keep all dogs on extended leashes when exploring & playing in the backyard. In your home (and in ours), I will respectfully follow all instructions & rules that you provide to ensure your dog’s way of life, training, safety, and comfort.
