My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! About: The last year I've been cat sitting for my neighbor. She has 7 total, one of them being an older three legged cat. Because of my flexibility, I've been very reliable with when I'm able to cat sit, as well as gaining a lot of experience in general due to how frequent it is.
About: I’ve always had pets as long as I can remember! And that’s a long time!! My husband and I have years and years of experience caring for all types of animals! From cats to bunnies, fish and hermit crabs and always dogs!! Even a bearded dragon! Right now, we have two Fox Red Labs, two outside cats, fish, and a bearded dragon… and chickens. We just raised 7 Fox Red Lab puppies as well! We have almost 4 acres for the dogs to run and have fun and we have a large fenced in play yard. As a pet mom myself, I understand how hard it is to leave your fur babies in someone else’s care! I know how hard it is to leave them! We’ve used a couple of sitters thru Rover and have had a great experience. I would be honored to be entrusted to care for your four legged family member! I am a stay at home mom, able to give lots of attention to you fur baby! They will get lots of love and will always have access to drinking water. When I do need to run an errand the pups will be crated. Our dogs love to go outside so it’s not unusual for them to go out every two hours or so which provides ample time for potty breaks and exercise throughout the day. Our whole yard is not fenced in but we do have a large fenced in play yard with plenty of room to run! I will use a leash to keep your pup safe outside of the play yard and they will never be outside unattended. We can introduce our dogs slowly, one at a time or however you are most comfortable. I prefer to have a meet and greet before booking so we make sure we’re a good match and so your pup can meet ours ahead of time.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I could remember. I’ve taken care of my families, friends, neighbors. I’ve bathed them, fed them, taken them out, and more. I used to work at a dog boarding and doggie day care. I am very flexible and can work around any schedule and pets schedules. My previous rescue pit had an abusive past which sadly caused some behavioral issues. Due to that I am more than comfortable watching any dogs that may be a little rough around the edges. About: I have a wide variety of experience with all sorts of animals. I’ve had large and small dogs, cats, rodents, amphibians, and lizards, I even had a pot belly pig, sheep & duck as a child. I also volunteered at a local vet when I was a teenager and gained a lot of hands on experience caring for many types of animals! I’m a stay at home mom and I homeschool my two teenage daughters. They absolutely adore animals as well. I feel this will allow me to spend a lot of one on one time with your pet. Your fur baby will be well cared for and interacted with while they’re here! About: My entire life pretty much I've grown up around animals! I've had different rodent, and currently have 2 cats. The last 10ish years my family and I have cat/dog sat for multiple family members and friends. The last year I've cat sat for my neighbor multiple times. As far as regular work goes, I'm only doing part-time due to the limit on how many hours are being given. I'm also not enrolled in school, so my schedule has more than enough time to fit in some extra pet care. I have experience with giving medication (mostly pills), so if your fur baby has meds that are needed to be given, I'm more than willing. Like a lot of animals, I enjoy basking in the sun. So, taking your animals on long walks isn't an issue either. Your animals needs are my priority.

About: I am an absolute animal lover! I have had dogs, birds, fish, a cat, bunnies, mice, lizards, guinea pig, and hamsters! I have been around animals since I was probably about 4 or 5 years old. My grandpa gave me my very first dog (a beagle named Lady) and it was love at first site. Ever since, I have always had a dog! I currently have an almost 12 year old staffy mix named Stoli and 12 fish (mixed kinds). Stoli and I always enjoy a good run or hike or trip to the lake for a swim. I got her when I was working at an animal hospital back in Jersey.She is my best friend and I know I will car for another persons pet(s) the same way I look out for my own! After working at the animal hospital I enrolled in school to become a Certified Dog Trainer, which I completed several years ago. I then started volunteering at a local animal shelter where I helped work with the dogs before getting adopted and sometimes after. Currently my schedule is pretty flexible which allows me to be available at different times throughout the day. I do have a young daughter that I take care of during the day as well. I provide routine meal times, potty breaks, litter clean-up, medications as needed, treats as positive reinforcement, play time, cuddles, walks and other exercise, and if your pets are used to sleeping in your bed, they are welcome to do the same with me! I do all of this in your home so your best bud doesn't have to stress about too many changes while they are missing you. While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I can serve a larger area such as Gettysburg and Dillsburg on weekends. I adhere carefully to client directions about medication, supervision, feeding, and exercise. I want dogs to keep their usual routine as much as possible, and owners to rest assured their treasured pets are cared for as they would. I am a background -checked government employee that prides myself on being dependable and trustworthy. I discuss my scheduling limitations with owners to ensure they are getting a sitter who is the best fit for their pets.

About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

“Elizabeth is amazing with my dog Louie. He has been turned down at quite a few places because of his pretty severe anxiety. Elizabeth took her time with him, allowed me to set up a meet and greet an did three separate days with him before my vacation when he would be spending 6 days with her. He did great and Elizabeth kept me updated the entire time. She obviously has experience with all types of behavioral and health needs and it is clear how much she cares for and loves animals. I am grateful I found her and Louie has definitely become a regular with her.
