“Earlier this week, I found myself in the position of finding overnight care for my dog Cookie at the very last minute. I will never send him to a kennel since he does not do well with a lot of other dogs and I did not want him lost amidst a sea of yapping or feeling confined. I needed someone with a big, secure, natural back yard to enjoy when not on walks; someone with only one or two personal pets who would not take in others during Cookie’s stay; and someone active, engaged and loving with my special guy. I found that person in Christina. Christina is brand new to the platform, which I actually liked since I suspected she would go over and beyond what was required as she builds her reputation. Her narrative and the testimonials sounded authentic, and her photos showed obvious joy with dogs and cats. And she was available on short notice. I asked if we could do a live video “walk-around” her house, and mainly her yard, on WhatsApp, which I do not believe most people would have agreed to, but she did so readily. This is what I saw, heard and learned: 1) The yard is huge, secure, beautiful and interesting; 2) Her rapport with her own bichon was kind, gentle and fun (I learned she had three bichons for many years but two passed and I think Rover is partly to help fill that void); 3) She walks in Pennypack Park morning, noon and night so when Cookie was not enjoying the yard, he’d be enjoying new sights and sounds elsewhere with his new bichon buddy; 4) Cookie would not be caged ever, and no other dogs would be accepted for boarding while he was there. I had to change the drop off and pickup times at the last minute, which was not a problem at all. Drop-off was easy and communication consistent and remained on WhatsApp throughout the stay. I picked Cookie up a little while ago and I knew I had made the right choice for my guy. Cookie will be back at Christina’s without a question, though hopefully not at the last minute again. Five out of five!!!”

About: Despite being an dog lover for as long as I could remember, I didn't get to own a dog until 2021! Although I'm a little late to the game, owning my dog has taught me so much about dog behavior and animal nutrition. Safety is the number priority in my house so with that being said, if you decide to have your pup stay with me, I will keep them separated from mine! It will be a crate and rotate situation, just to keep both dogs and humans safe, but don't worry, they will get tons of exercise and treats when out! I have a fenced in yard at my home so if your pup loves to run around, they will get lots of it! But if they prefer walks, my neighborhood is quiet and has lots of smells for your pup to take in!

Throughout the day, I’ll take breaks from whatever chores or work I’m doing on my computer to spend time with the pets, playing or walking outside. Sometimes we just sunbathe ☀️ while I read a book in the late afternoon. It depends on the pet, but generally it’s just a lot of spending time together!
About: Hey there, my name is Amy! I have a very special boy, Loki - he’s a sweet golden Retriever! Having him has taught me to have fun with pets and care for them as if they’re tiny little humans :) I love animals and nurturing them like they’re my own. Going out to play in the park and on walks or just relaxing at home is my fortè with my pup, so it’ll be awesome to do that with other pets as well! I’m currently working from home so I am home full-time so I’m able to spend plenty of time with your pets and provide the care and attention they need in my home. I have cared for my personal pet for 10 years so I know what pets need to feel comfortable and cared for in my home. This includes when a pet is uncomfortable and figuring out how to make them feel more at ease.

“Hardy and his daughter Harmony could not have been more accommodating for Opie's first overnight stay. After a boarding situation I had fell through for my newly adopted Husky mix I needed last minute coverage (about a week out) for a short international trip. Hardy and Harmony were able to accommodate us for an extremely early drop-off because of a flight/airport situation and were super cool about it. I got regular picture and video updates throughout her few day stay, and got to meet and chat with Hardy during pickup. My pup is crate trained and having someone who is able to accommodate that and keep her consistent while I'm away is integral to making sure she stays successful with it. Hardy is super knowledgeable about dogs and thoughtful about who he schedules together to ensure everyone is chill and as the owner of a high energy guardian mix, that gives me a lot of relief knowing my girl won't be on edge the whole time I'm gone. If you're in the area and considering Hardy please do not hesitate to book. He truly takes care of your animals as if they were his own. Also, in my short time with my new pup I haven't seen her half as happy and worn out as she was when I picked her up ... like others reviews have mentioned and I will definitely concur, Hardy is a dog whisperer! Have a wedding coming up in a couple months and am already working with Hardy to rebook because of what a positive, easy and affordable experience we had our first time around. “Heather is an excellent pet sitter! Our little senior dog, Miki, stayed with her for a week while we were on vacation. Heather responded to all messages very promptly and is a great communicator. She followed all instructions to the letter and kept us updated on how our little boy was doing. At one point, Miki seemed to be feeling under the weather. Heather calmly shared her concerns and we were able to talk through a solution together. When we picked Miki up, he was happy and comfortable in Heather’s home.
