About: Since I was born, I’ve always had dogs! Over my life, I’ve had seven dogs of my own. I currently have 3 large dogs, one medium. Since I was ten, me and my family have been fostering dozens of dogs of all different kinds! Newborn puppies, seniors, and every puppy in between. About: Hi! I’m Julie. I grew up on a hobby farm surrounded by a menagerie of animals from a young age. Everything from chickens and goats to rabbits, cats, and dogs, and the occasional bit of wildlife, were welcome in my families home. As a high school student I became increasingly involved in agriculture and milked cows and cared for livestock. This turned into a love that led me to college in rural Maine where I earned a degree in Agriculture and Sustainability, all while working on a dairy farm each day. Currently, I homeschool my two children and am blessed with the ability to work from home. We live on a wooded property and have access to a small lake which is boarded by a wooded dirt road. Additionally, we have a small walking trail system directly on our property. We share our home with a Newfie doodle, Arlo, who is 1.5 years old, a Sulcuta tortoise, and a cat that lives under the bed. We have a large red deck with a fenced in space off of this for easy bathroom access and unleashed roaming space for your dog. I work from home and homeschool my children. Our days have built in flexibility and can be arranged to accommodate the needs of any pet staying with us. We enjoy time outdoors, and can often be found working remotely or “out schooling” from our backyard or a hiking trail. In our home, the pets are people too (and we will narrate their thoughts based on their expressions 🤪). Pets are allowed on the furniture and in all rooms. We have a large front porch for slow mornings and evenings that stretch well past sunset. We also have a large deck in the rear which has a fenced area off of it to allow plenty of space for unattended bathroom breaks or unleashed space to roam. My children are well versed in animal care and also understand giving space to a new animal, calm energy, etc. I will always setup a meet and greet prior to booking to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. Medications can be distributed, and special diets can be managed.

If you book me for a Board or even a day stay I promise to have you and your furry friend 100% satisfied. I can also walk them,and do drop bys. Your pet will always have someone around in my home(if they like children). It can be hard to find someone as trustworthy as it is for me. I have 3 floors,so if any pets I care for needs personal space I can accommodate. We also have a spare room where they can relax. Due to health I can only take dogs up to 18 lbs. If you work mid shift or over night and need somewhere for your four legged children to go while you work we have just the place for them. I love to play and cuddle with my dogs and would love the opportunity to have your love one stay with me in a loving home environment. I’ve also been entrusted to dog-sit multiple neighbors’ dogs, including a wolf/Husky hybrid named Loki; 2 “pitbull” mixes, Dicey and Scooby; and a GSD/Lab mix named Mya who has regular sleepovers at my house. I have experience giving dogs oral, drop, injectable, and subcutaneous IV medications. I take care to pay attention to the temperature outside and a dog’s needs and adjust walks accordingly (no walking on hot asphalt, make sure dogs with no undercoat are suitably dressed in cold weather, etc.). I’m a firm believer in letting dogs experience the world around them through smell, and allow them to sniff to their nose’s content on walks. If your dog is prone to pulling, please have a suitable harness available for use. (I highly recommend PetSafe EasyWalk harnesses.) NO prong, choke, or shock collars! I look forward to meeting you and your pup!! I work from home and my hours are flexible, so I am able to arrange my work schedule around the needs of you and your dog(s)! I always ensure that your dog’s collar/harness and leash are secure so they won’t slip out on a walk. I bring poop bags on every walk, and a water thermos and bowl on longer walks. Food, potty breaks, and medicine administration can all be given at drop-ins. I have experience giving oral medications, eye drops, injections, and sub-q IV drips to my own dogs, and can do so for yours as well with as much care and love as if they’re my own.

When we read Julie's first response to our request, we knew right away that she and her family were the mature and responsible people we could trust to watch our dog. Julie sent multiple updates and photos to us while she had Wella, and that was very nice and reassuring. They did so great with Wella that she seemed to want to stay longer! The kids played so much with Wella that she needed to sleep in the next day! Great experience with Julie and her family and We are looking forward to using her again !!”
“Anna gave a great deal of attention to my nearly 17yo cockapoo who was blind and in diapers 24/7 the last yr. He had gotten down to 7 lbs from 16 but still spent every waking moment on the prowl for food. When I found out I had colon cancer that required surgery ASAP i took a couple days reading boarders profiles and reviews before choosing Anna. We talked extensively about peanut 2x before boarding. She got back yo me fast when contacted and sent daily video updates. As Peanut has severe separation anxiety, I was concerned but had to board him and I choose well! Anna is sweet, sensative, caring, & attentive to the animal. I would highly recommend her no matter your dog’s needs. Shes the best!”

“This was the first time that we have used rover to board our dog while on vacation, and we were incredibly pleased with the care provided to him by Johanny. Our dog (Benny) was just diagnosed as being hypothyroid and was dealing with many different associated conditions that required medicines and a lot of extra care. This was why we decided to try Rover rather than just boarding him at a kennel. Johanny was available at late notice and was amazing with Benny. We received pictures each day and she had no trouble administering all the medications. He was healthy when we returned and we are incredibly grateful for the care that she provided. We will DEFINITELY be using her again in the future.”
