I’m a parent/caregiver to a child with disabilities and while that does not affect my ability to care for animals, it can limit some of my time due to my child’s day-to-day needs, appointments, etc. I update my calendar accordingly to reflect my availability. With that said, most of our appointments are virtual or in-home and I am a stay at home mom so I still have plenty of time for pet care. I have a large fenced in yard for dogs and I am always nearby supervising. I allow pets on furniture and treat them just like my own when I’m watching pets in my home. Instructions regarding potty breaks, feeding, kennel time, medications, etc., are always followed if given.

“Our experience with Zuri was wonderful from start to finish. She was able to take our two dogs on short notice for a few days. She was incredibly accommodating to the needs and energy levels of our 8 year old malipoo and 1 year old boston terrier. She was able to provide medication for our maltipoo. Zuri was very flexible with pick up and drop off times which made leaving and returning from our trip a breeze. She kept us up to date with adorable pictures and videos of our dogs enjoying extra love, cuddles, and play time. Both dogs felt right at home cuddled up on the couch. Our boston terrier especially loved her dog Bonnie and her daughter. She and her daughter provided a safe and loving home for our babies while we were away! I am available for drops ins and walks, but longer term engagements would have to be at my home. I have a fully fenced yard and can welcome a dog to come stay in my home. I have previous obedience training experience and have taken three dogs to state for obedience competition. I have house trained many puppies, so I'm happy to support an owner in the trenches of the puppy years. I am available for weekend visits and walks every day. Over the years, I have cared for dogs and cats with varying medical and behavioral needs. From cats needing injections to highly reactive dogs neesing a calm presence, I have expertly cared for them all. I have two daughters, aged 12 and 14, who have lived their life around pets of all sorts and love to come with me when I am visiting a dog or cat. If you are not comfortable having them in your home, or your pet is not comfortable with kids, that is totally understandable. I am self-employed, so my schedule is flexible to allow to fit pet care into my schedule. I have a car so I am able to travel outside of my immediate neighborhood for pet care or house sitting. In my own home I have a fully fenced yard and space to run around. When I am out of the home I kennel my own dog, who has anxiety and that helps her feel more secure. About: I've lived my whole life around pets, specifically cats and dogs. My family and friends alike all relied on me for pet sitting care which included regular dog walking and extended, overnight stays. I'm currently not working and only going to school. When I do get a job, it will only be part-time and I'll update my schedule accordingly. As of right now, I have ample time for frequent check-in's and overnight stays, especially in Yamhill County. I also live with another experienced Rover sitter. If an unexpected scheduling conflict ever arises, they are available to let pets outside for a potty break or provide a quick check-in when appropriate. This helps ensure your pet’s routine is maintained even if I’m briefly unavailable. Any assistance would be communicated with you in advance whenever possible. If your pet requires constant or near-constant supervision, I do offer constant care at an adjusted rate. The requested dates are reserved exclusively for your pet(s), allowing me to remain with them throughout the duration of the stay. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space and routine with the same respect I’d want for my own. I follow all instructions carefully; whether that’s feeding schedules, walking routines, crate time, or medication needs, so your pet stays comfortable and consistent in their environment. I’m also happy to continue any training or reinforcement you’ve already been working on, whether it’s basic commands, crate manners, or specific behavior routines. Consistency is key, and I always strive to keep your pet’s progress moving forward while you’re away. I aim to keep your pet’s day as normal and stress-free as possible, offering them love, play, and structure. I also provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands. I may have time for quick home visits for potty breaks during lunch on these days, if needed. I am happy to spend quiet time with pets who are more mellow, or to spend time playing or walking with energetic, younger dogs if that suits them best. I typically observe the dog's behavior and notes from the owner when deciding what to do- are they looking tired and calm? Are they a bit riled up and could use a playtime or a walk? I will follow any instructions left by the owners, as well. If there is anything specific or special you'd like me to do for your pets, just let me know!
