About: I grew up surrounded by kittens and cats! My grandma and mom were crazy cat ladies lol. I have a Siamese cat named Mochi! I rescued him as a kitten. He was found in a trash can covered in fleas, worms, and could barely keep his eyes open from excessive mucus. I spent every 5 minutes cleaning his eyes, treated his fleas/worms, showed him love, and trained him. He’s now an indoor kitty and he will be loved for the rest of his life! If your pet’s care requirements significantly limit my ability to accept other bookings or require me to remain with them for the majority of the day, we can discuss whether a constant care rate is appropriate. I also live with another experienced Rover sitter. If an unexpected scheduling conflict ever arises, they are available to let pets outside for a potty break or provide a quick check-in when appropriate. This helps ensure your pet’s routine is maintained even if I’m briefly unavailable. Any assistance would be communicated with you in advance whenever possible. If your pet requires constant or near-constant supervision, I do offer constant care at an adjusted rate. About: If you’re looking for a safe, loving place for your dog while you’re away, I’d love to help! I grew up surrounded by animals on a Japanese maple farm with over 20 horses and lots of dogs, both indoor and working dogs, caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and training backgrounds. I am a student and only have one in-person class this term, giving me lots of availability for quality time with your pup! I live in a cute, quiet neighborhood near a park and walking trail, and I usually go for walks in the mornings and a couple miles before dinner when my partner comes home from work (weather permitting). I’d happily bring your dog along for those little adventures so they get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and stimulation. I believe mental and physical exercise is very important for all breeds! After walks and a lot of playing, I make sure to keep track of any supplements and food schedules needed (usually by setting reminders and alarms on my phone) I also know how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I like to send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pup is doing. About: I have been an animal lover since a young age, and have been caring for dogs since 2011. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and all ages in between. I have experience in training my own dogs and in practicing commands as asked when puppy-sitting. I've even trained my cat to give high-fives! I also have experience in administering medication, both oral meds as well as eyedrops. Our 14 year old labradoodle gets eyedrops twice daily, which I administer. I bond easily with animals and love dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! I love getting to know animals, and have a knack for bonding with anxious, shy animals. I am also okay with brushing and bathing, etc., as asked if needed. I am typically available all day on the weekends and most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am in grad school for the next two years in Forest Grove and classes occur around 9am-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I may have time for quick home visits for potty breaks during lunch on these days, if needed. I am happy to spend quiet time with pets who are more mellow, or to spend time playing or walking with energetic, younger dogs if that suits them best. I typically observe the dog's behavior and notes from the owner when deciding what to do- are they looking tired and calm? Are they a bit riled up and could use a playtime or a walk? I will follow any instructions left by the owners, as well. If there is anything specific or special you'd like me to do for your pets, just let me know!

The picture of our dog with his head on his son's lap was PERFECT! Like I said, he doesn't do well with strangers stopping by so this made both of us very happy receiving this photo!
