You can rest assured that your pet will be well taken care of while you check out what Oakridge and the surrounding area has to offer. I am home most days of the week and am available to watch pets in my home. I do have a couple of cats and small children so pets must be friendly. I have a 6' fenced yard, plus a fenced and gated driveway. I keep my own animals separate to prevent any chance of squabbles. About: I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, rodents, and even reptiles. I am currently training to become a dog groomer and I’m taking classes to get my vet tech certification. I have the experience and knowledge necessary to ensure your pets are safe, comfortable and happy with me. I am currently working part time so I have the availability to care for your animals without anything impeding my ability to keep a close eye on them. I know how important consistency is for keeping dogs calm, especially when they're staying somewhere new. My goal is to make their time with me feel as close to "home" as possible. About: I've been actively taking care of dogs and cats for other military families since July 2018. Most of this care has been centered around boarding for long vacations or deployments. I provide boarding for all dog breeds, boarding includes; feeding, walking, baths, and cuddles. When your dog is in my care, they are treated like my own dogs. For cats I provide drop in care because most cats don't like being removed from their homes. I am a huge cat person and when your cat is in my care I will do anything to gain their trust. About: Their fur babies will be treated just like they’re part of my fur family. I will follow any special requests that we work out. Plus I worked with a dog rescue so I have access to tons of information if I need to receive new knowledge on something. I live in Oakridge so I also have access to local hiking trails and have a decent knowledge of local water areas that are safe and wonderful for pups of all ages and sizes to enjoy. Their fur child will have plenty of one on one attention from me, they will not feel left out or unloved. I will keep you in the know if your fur baby is behaving ill. I’ll even take plenty of pictures of them enjoying their time and share them with you. I am currently on temporary disability due to surgery. I just had so I’m unavailable at this time but once I have been released to do light stuff around the home, I will be able to take on some clients again. If there’s any safety concerns, we can discuss what they are and what we can do to address them. About: I recently trained my high energy border collie mix puppy and although he’s still a teenager, he’s turned out to be a calm, caring, and gentle pup. Most of my pet sitting care has been done for cats, but I have house sat for a family with a Newfoundland, so I have experience with large breeds. I also have cared for a smaller dog that has OCD and separation anxiety. Thanks to the research and dedication that went into puppy training, I’m well aware of what their body language is signaling, and how to adapt according to what they’re feeling. I work from home, so my schedule is flexible. My weekends are pretty flexible as well. Most of my plans are in the evenings (if I do have plans). I give my pets a predictable routine. The cats need a lot of attention as they’re very social. I take my pup to the dog park every couple of days, but I also tire him out through walks, herding games, and mental stimulation.

I used to do dog rescue while living in France, and placed all dogs saved in very good homes, this was my main concern. I can read dogs body language, and dealt with traumatized dogs, among them my silver poodle, who was very traumatized by his past. I do like old dogs and have adopted some in the past. If a dog swallow something he should not have, I know how to make them throw up. I am retired, as a parent of 2 purbred miniature poodles, I spend most of my time at home, and take them out reguarly. When I have to go out, I am never gone long. I give a lots of attention to my dogs and dogs I sit. I will give the same care to your dogs and if I take them on a walk, will never let them approach a dog I don't know. the yard is fenced but will always go outside with the dogs and will take them on a leash when it's dark. I care for all living beings, but dogs are my go to when it comes to spending time and feeling at home in a world I choose. I've trained many breeds over the years and have heard various techniques. The older I've gotten the more formal the training I've received. All of which has been positive reinforcement training. I once went through a program that taught me how to train my own service animal. The techniques are very similar to the way I was during my early years when classes were not on my radar. My dog would simply go everywhere with me and learned how to behave in each setting without much effort at all. With the more formal training in recent years the fun part I find is desensitizing, shaping, training while playing, and having a great friend with me at all times. I do not claim to have had a ton of success reversing already spun habits. It's important to start pups young in many cases, though there are also many dogs that are easy going enough they can pick this up in no time. Whether you have a pet for the the home, all kinds, I will care for them as you do and I'll send you on your carefree way with full confidence. Boarding dogs at my house is limited to easy to manage temperaments and activity levels do to the fact our home is very small with hard wood and we have no fenced yard. My husband and I are both retired. I've recently lost my elder Irish Setter who spent most all his time with us. Now I have a Mini Poodle pup who's being trained to fill some pretty big shoes. So far it's smooth sailing! When going into others homes I simply follow their daily routines and instructions. My time is devoured to the animals. I rarely have things that would require me to shift focus. While at our house I make sure needs are met first, set the tone with rules of the house and have plenty of interactions with them through out the day. We take frequent walks and set up play time in the garage. I love the elders and yet can't pass up a puppy. I've not sat for cats in my home and would not feel comfortable doing so unless the owner knows something I don't know regarding their outings.
About: I’ve always had dogs around since I was a little kid & I’ve yet to meet one I didn’t like! I have a lot of free time and have spent much time dropping in on friends’ and family’s animals during work-hours for playtime, walks, potty breaks, playdates with my pooch, etc. I am a self-employed musician with usually way too much free time while others have to be at work- help me fill my schedule with walks, potty breaks, and playtime while you work, and housesitting when you travel! :) My current dog is a Dane-Lab mix with a ton of personality who is very social and could be requested for play dates. Having said this I am not intimidated by large breeds with puppy energy, I’ve seen it all!
